Under the Sea Indoor Playground

i feel bad it took so long to review this place .and now they are out of business. good this place sucks. where should i start, rude staff. cheap outdated toys. they wanted to charge my 12 year old daughter to be in the building. she was going to do her homework because the toys are for 4 yrs old kids. i told her she was not going to play and she told me she can stay in the car or she is old enough to stay home by herself. I’m glad this dump closed. it made my day when i saw this place close. you guys suckkkk

This place should have been closed long time ago. I did my daughters 3^rd birthday here and the service was awful. The employees and the owner herself they forgot to get my daughter birthday cake. Can you imagine. So one of the employees walked to ralphs and got her a $ 12.99 cake and wanted me to be happy with that and they refused to give my money back i paid over $ 900

Lots of cool things for kids to play on. There was nobody there the day I brought my granddaughter. They even sell socks for a couple of dollars for parents who forgot theirs. Nice.
Staff was kind and helpful. Hopefully next time we can stay a lIttle longer

The equipment here is fun for kids and it’s close by to where we live, but we will NEVER come again! The management is horrible. I purchased 10 admission gift certificates at a silent auction a few years ago. I barely used any because I never wanted to come to this dirty cess pool of germs, but I was desperate today during the rain. When I attempted to use the expired gift certificates, they refused to accept them. When I pointed out that it is ILLLEGAL in California to refuse expired gift certificates, they said nothing. There are several other nearby playgrounds that I will gladly patronize before stepping foot inside Under the Sea again. When we had our daughter’s birthday party there a few years ago, they were so inflexible and not at all accommodating. Many other party places are happy to work with you, and are much better choices than Under the Sea.

just bummer they closed weekends for private party and i never got to use the groupon i purchase due to their not so flexible hours. i work m-​f and i only used it twice and ended up paying more. :(

One star off for not so friendly staff. One off for cleanliness. I take my daughter to many indoor playground but this by far is smellier and definitely grimier than the others. I do like the look of the place. My daughter thought it was very magical. I also like the play equipment. If they took the time to clean it up more often and had friendlier staff this would’ve had a five

We did my daughters 6^th birthday here and it was awesome. The kids were entertained the whole time and Elsa came out for a good portion of the party and did a treasure hunt, face painting, and games with the kids. My daughter felt so special and all the kids had a good time. They set up everything and even unloaded my car with what I brought, then broke it down and cleaned it all up and loaded my car with the presents. It was the easiest birthday party ever and I was able to just attend and relax. The staff working were exceptional, so helpful and sweet. They were all smiles the whole time which is great and pretty rare in my opinion. I highly recommend this place if you are searching for an easy party for your kids.

Love this place. I come at least once a month if not more. Brought my sister n law and nephew and they are quite impressed. The pictures on the website don’t do it justice.

Not impressed with this place. First of all, the person in the front was not attentive at all. She had her ear phones most of the time, and was not welcoming despite it was our first time there. She was quick to take my money but did not engage in any interaction whatsoever. I took my 10 month old baby I can’t believe I had to pay regular price. I think any children under the age of 1 should pay half price. Also I just want to point out how dirty the place was. The toys were dusty. Some toys were broken and did not have batteries. Never again would I be bringing my child to this filthy place who is quick to take my money but is not concerned about sanitation or building relationships with their customers.

I have no complaints for my first time here.
Came today for a few hours for my 22 month old. It wasn’t packed at all and all of the kids were well behaved. I may have gotten lucky, who knows, but my daughter had a great time!
It’s not too small nor that big but it had a lot of toys and slides. I’d say it’s perfect for kids around 5 years and younger though. Any older than that then they would probably have to stick to the bounce house or run around playing tag (which would not be great for me because my almost 2 year old would probably get run over).
Like what others have said, perfect for when it’s rainy out and you can’t go to an outdoor playground.

This playplace is nice for kids 6 months to 9 years old. They do have alot of little to toys. It cost 10 dollars to come in. Everyone has to wear socks to be in the play area. They should put things for adults. It is dirty.

I happen to be at this birthday party and honestly you are so very rude. The other parents and I thought it was great! Our kids had a blast and that’s the most important part after all.
You where asked to relocate from the children’s table so they can gather around for cake! There were two other long tables with many empty seats, the fact the you attended a private birthday party not knowing anyone is on you.
Under the sea hosted my daughters 3^rd birthday party, the ‘nagging lady’ you are referring to hosted our event along with two other girls. They were amazing, the lady was very sweet and made sure the kids were the center of the party; she organized everything making sure every kid and every parent was comfortable.
I don’t know how long you’ve been a parent but any mother knows children never want to leave a park or party, 99% of the time they start crying or having a temper tantrum. I think by asking the children to open their goody bags in the car they have something to look forward to, distracting them from realizing play time is over.

As the parent of a five year old, I frequently attend kids birthday parties at all kinds of indoor playgrounds. Under the Sea was easily the best of the ten or so I’ve been to. Free parking, easy in and out. A large play space with tons of toys and apparatus. All the kids had a great time, and the employees were very warm and welcoming.
Under the Sea easily exceeded my expectations. Thanks for hosting a great event.

I am rarely irritated enough to write a bad review. Today, however, I can’t get this place off my mind. How people don’t think to give good customer service is beyond me. Especially when running a small business. This place is old, messy, too many toys without enough playing space, and unorganized.
That aside, what bothered me most was the lady who worked there. These places need vibrant energetic people to run it. Not a nagging old lady.
I sat down at the only area I saw available (not knowing anyone there) and she tells me I should get up from the table because it was only for kids and they were supposed to eat there soon (which was 30 minutes later). What was I going to do? Drink there juice boxes?
If it were me I would think of everyone as a prospective client. Be nice so others will want to throw their event there. It was unnecessary. I felt like I was in trouble at school the way she walked over specifically for me.
She wouldn’t let the kids pick up favor bags until the had their shoes on and were ready to head out the door. Then warned them not to open the bags until they were in the car. She said otherwise they will come back in.
It was a birthday party not a day at the principals office. Customer service is a lost trait. She is in the wrong business. The kids don’t want to be lectured and neither do the parents. Relax its a party! That’s why we always go out of our way to acknowledge those that are awesome and make you want to come back.
The birthday was great. At this age, the kids have fun no matter what. Good thing they don’t know better.

I really didn’t like this place it smelled like pee gross toys are gross and dirty I will never go back

I’m a nanny for a 2 ½ year old who is VERY energetic and active and who is constantly getting into everything and fleeing from me every chance he gets. Therefore, while I love getting him outside, sometimes it’s difficult to reign him in in wide open spaces and I don’t like to constantly have to tell him, «NO».
At Under The Sea, «my» kid is free to go bananas. There’s not as much arguing about sharing because there are SO many toys and rideable cars that there are enough to go around. He talks about this place nonstop and wants to go every day. The only reason we don’t is that I’m paying for visits myself and it’s a 20+ minute drive from his house and so I limit it to once a week.
The woman who owns this place is really sweet and always very accommodating and helpful.
The bouncy house is a little treacherous because a lot of parents there don’t get involved and watch their older kids, and my little guy got kicked in the face, resulting in a bloody lip when an irresponsible adult hurled a 7 year old kid across the thing with other kids inside, but it’s nice that Under The Sea provides one, as I always dread having to tell him he can’t go in the ones that are rented for private parties at the park, as he doesn’t take it well. I just wish more parents would actually supervise kids at these places because I find myself having to arbitrate fights and ask other children to be less aggressive around the little ones, but that’s not the fault of the venue; it’s just a general complaint.
The place is bright and as clean as it can be considering there are so many kids running around in here all the time although the restrooms are pretty sterile and poor-​smelling, which is my only complaint. I know that will come when more people catch onto this place and the owner can afford to upgrade. Otherwise, the owner cleans thoroughly every evening, which is not an easy task!

This place might as well be «under the sea» as it is near IMPOSSIBLE to find! That said, it is inside another place and there is no big sign other than the one on the marquee for the strip mall where it is located. It is located in the back corner of the strip mall; look for the 2422 above the door.
Once I found it, I thought it was cute and pretty big. I was there for a 3 year old’s birthday party. She and her friends loved it. They had a blast. There was a woman dressed as a character (don’t ask me which) who wrangled the kids, did face painting, facilitated candle blowing out and play in the playground.
At the party there was pizza, cookies, cake — all the things little kids like. The adults hung out in the table section and that was great. The staff consisted of a front desk person and the character person. They kept up a good pace with the party activities and were good with the kids.
Know before you go…
— NO SHOES ALLOWED in the play area — so bring SOCKS!
— No Adults allowed on most of the play things (bouncy houses, etc.) –makes sense
— It’s near impossible to find so if you are inviting people tell them where it is in the strip mall.
— If you forget something there is a 99 Cent Store and a CVS right across the street.

Hidden treasure in Burbank! We are «the coop» members and didn’t bother to try other places so when the coop is closed on certain weekdays, we had no choice but to explore other venues and happen to try this by chance. What a cool place! Love it! Spacious, clean, bright, colorful, safe, lots of slides, mega structures, bouncing castle, endless fun! It’s a pity there’s no ball pit but with so many toys, it’s alright. $ 9 for the whole day, we can either bring in lunch or went out for lunch and come back, the staff is super cool with it. Will be back more often now!
