My girlfriend and I stayed here for a little over a year and loved it. The complex is really nice, and not too loud despite being on a relatively busy street. Its not under Burbank Airport’s flight path, so no loud planes flight over head. The workout room is small, but functional. Julie the property manager, and Alex the maintenance guy were really helpful, with quick turn around for any maintenance issues. We had no pest problems, and everything in the complex was kept clean and quiet throughout our stay. Would highly recommend.

I have lived here for several years, and it’s a really really well run property. I often have small maintenance things and they take care of them all the same day that I ask — which is amazing. I always find the onsite manager Julie very easy to deal with — she’s always polite and friendly, which makes a big difference to my overall experience. The property is always very clean and organized — including the laundry and pool and garages etc. The only negatives I have are quite minor — it’s a hundred dollars or so above the market price(BUT only if you want to look in areas slightly outside the Burbank Media District), and secondly I am in a ground level apartment, so I hear loud footsteps constantly from the apartment above. But I’ve found this same issue with almost all apartments in Burbank /Los Angeles! So try to get a top floor if you can. But aside from that, this is the most«at home» and comfortable I’ve ever felt.(And if you have any issues, as I said, Julie will sort it out straight away — so if you’re high maintenance, this is the apartment complex for you! Heheh.)

I lived in this complex for 8.5 years and I loved my stay. I am moving to Pasadena to be more closer to work. I was very happy with my stay with one little disappointment due to which I am taking one star off. Pros: a) The property is very well managed by Julie, and Alex. Alex is a wonderful person who is there all the time to help you with your maintenance needs. b) The cleaning crew keep the common pool area + BBQ grill+ Gym very clean, The plants are also well taken care off in the property to make it look beautiful c) I am not sure how it would be to live in an apt facing the busy Buena Vista St., but it is quite if the unit is inside with balcony facing the common area d) This complex has the best studio apartments — very spacious — big walk in closet and some units have closed store room as well. Cons: a) Getting out of the property is little tricky — big blind spot. The red ‘no parking’ zone has been shortened and if there is a big vehicle parked next to the red zone, it is very tough to watch for incoming traffic in high speed, and get into the lane or take a left. b) It is pricey — The rent has gone up over the last few years. c) No fridge Disappointment: I left my place in a very reasonable clean condition. With 8.5 years of stay, the apt management should not have charged $ 100.00 cleaning fee from my security deposit. With a high monthly rent the management should have got the apt cleaned from it’s own pocket. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone as long as the monthly rent cost is not an issue.

I am not a tenant here but a prospective renter. I had been emailing with Julie about scheduling a viewing of this complex and the unit and had scheduled it for a Monday at 1pm. I live two hours away from here(moving in this area) and took time off work to view this unit. When we got to the unit there was no response in the leasing office. Someone was able to let us in the complex and the leasing office indicated it was closed for the next hour, presumably a lunch break. However, it was obvious that we had been forgotten about and no consideration was made for the time we took getting here, and the time taken off work, to view a unit we did not get a chance to see. In my opinion this is a very poor reflection of management here– so needless to say we will not be renting here and I wouldn’t recommend it. If a potential renter is being treated this way I can’t imagine what contracted tenants are experiencing! – I got an email response at 2:05pm(as in 5 min after the time stated at the office she would return). In the email I was informed that Julie became sick with food poisoning and needed to rush home and was unable to call/email(but able to make time to put a notice on the door indicating she was gone and when she would return). However, she also stated that she«made it back to the office by 1:40pm»(even though I didn’t get an email until 2:05pm) and then states she will be taking the rest of the day off sick because«she shouldn’t be helping people in her condition.» I can absolutely appreciate and understand that emergencies, specifically medical ones, happen and are not foreseeable and are really inconvenient. I have had them myself. However, if it was that much of an emergency no one would return to the office after already going home… Even those of us with phenomenal work ethics! It just does not make sense to me. I also understand that people make mistakes and forget appointments, we are all human, and I would respect an honest admission of «whoops I completely forgot» or «whoops I forgot to mark it in my calendar» and call it a day. But this is far too elaborate of an explanation to seem realistic to me, and I analyze people(and their lies) for a living.

Pros: – Julie(the manager) and Alex(maintenance) are always friendly and do their jobs well. They’re incredible and I cannot speak highly enough of them. – The complex itself is safe, clean, and pretty quiet. – The online service to pay rent and request maintenance is super useful. – You have to pay for laundry, but you use cards. No more hoarding quarters! – High ceilings in the 2-bed are neat. The rooms/bathrooms are nicely-sized. – Steps AND a ramp. This is important if you have family/friends who are not as able-bodied. Also useful for moving. – Parking is(usually) easy to get in the complex. It’s also gated. No assigned spots. – Pools! And a hot tub! And a couple exercise rooms! Cons: – A little small, especially the kitchen. If you like to cook, make sure to keep your counters extra clear. – Have to buy a fridge. :( – The 2-bedroom has two bathrooms(win!) but they’re both located in the bedrooms(boo.) It’s fantastic for us tenants, but when we have company, it can get a little awkward trying to decide who’s room you want to walk through to use the bathroom. – The price is comparable to other places in the neighborhood, if a bit more expensive. Could be a con, depending on your budget. – Getting in and out of the complex can be straight-up hellacious during rush hour, with frequent blind spots and drivers carelessly speeding down the street. People also love to park in the red zones, which can make things difficult. Street parking itself is almost impossible to find, so be sure to warn visitors they will most likely have trouble(on the bright side, the library side of the street is often free lat night on the weekend). – My roommates and I live facing Buena Vista and our balcony/windows/sliding door are COVERED in soot. My poor garden plants died quickly after moving here. Because of this and the seemingly never-ending traffic noise, we never have our windows open or use or balcony. So no plants, no open windows, no hanging out on the balcony. :( – Some might feel the exercise rooms are simply too small. It’s a treadmill, an elliptical, and a weight machine I’ve yet to figure out. I don’t really mind the size of the room(plus, there’s cable! And a radio with an iPod hook-up!) I honestly just wish the weight machine was more intuitive. I really do like WMC and I recommend it to everyone, but I imagine some of those cons can be a turn-off.

Julie manages and Alex maintains the bldgs very well and are extremely passionate and caring in their jobs. They never have excuses or promises they just see to getting the job done. I’ve been a resident for six years and it justs gets better. It’s a clean, safe and friendly environment to live in and I happy to be a resident.
