Stark Van Lines

I worked with Stark Van Lines for my relocation from D.C. to CA. Communication, commitment, and follow-​through were all problems. The lack of communication was the biggest factor in this review — up until days before they had their subcontractor come and get my stuff, I couldn’t get the driver’s name. Even after my stuff was picked up, they wouldn’t give me a delivery date. I understand that when you use a service like Stark, your stuff takes longer to get to the destination than it would if you hauled it yourself. But, by no means, should it take 2 weeks to deliver — especially since they were getting paid thousands of dollars.
In addition to their lack of communication, they constantly gave me misinformation, including having the wrong address listed for drop off (encouraging, I know) and providing conflicting dates for delivery — we are talking weeks, not days.
Would not use them again or recommend them. They did not seem to care when they or their subcontractor dropped the ball.
