Card Advantage Games

Just spent hours here, great space. Had lots of fun, knowledgeable staff. Will even play with you and won’t get snotty. Great group of guys ⁵⁄₅.

I had been meeting her with a local Pathfinder Society group on Thursday nights for several months. nice big space with large sturdy tables, wasn’t too loud, lots of nearby amenities. seemed a great fit for us, and I made sure to purchase something every time I was in there and encouraged others to do so as well.
the ownership decided to make a change in their target demographics and informed us the day of that they had changed their hours, effective immediately, to close at 9pm. our game sessions began about 6pm and ran until 10 or 11 most nights.
I’m not sure if this was communicated accurately to the owner and staff? every other game store I’ve played PFS at has been accommodating for groups until at least 11, and they understand that bringing people into the store means more sales.
it probably should have been a clue when Card Advantage changed its name from D-​Twenty games that they would prefer to cater to the card flopper clientele that played Magic or Pokémon. and I get it, cardboard crack is more profitable.
I was not impressed with the unprofessional manner that the situation was handled, however.
