This is a cute, small, hole in the wall place in Burien. The owners are extremely nice and they make their own Samoan/American food as well as have the standard Polynesian drinks and cans of wahoo(tuna) and fasipovi and even sell lei’s and lava lavas. Yesterday was our first time there and the owner gave us a free musubi and pie just for being first timers… Pretty generous and sweet of him. However I will say the food was just OKAY. Nothing worth the drive from Tacoma to Burien. My bf has fish and chips. Which came with two extremely big pieces of fish and fries. The fish was way too breaded and didn’t have much taste. I got taro and some lamb meat in some red sauce. That was really delicious! This is a nice place to eat but if you want real islander food made by real life islanders aka Samoans, then go to Lilly’s Bakery in Kent Wa. Also as a side note, this place DOESNOT sell Fa’ausi anymore. Which is the main reason why we came to this place. The owner said the guy who use to make them passed away unfortunately.

This place is a must! The owner is so kind and the lamb curry was delicious. When you leave this place you feel good knowing your supporting a small local business. Excited to go back.

We’re visiting from California and stopped at Cynthia’s to check out their hot foods on Christmas Day… The owner was super friendly(even friendlier than Samoans who own stores in Cali). He helped carry out someone’s shopping, allowed my 2 y/o nephew to use the restroom, called everyone«brother/sister», and the best part, his store is affordable and inexpensive(compared to Cali). Looking forward to buying Pani popo from him today to enjoy the last few days of our vacay.

Cynthia’s Polynesian Market is a great little grocery store located in the Burien area. Ron is very friendly and helpful and he does everything he can to assist all his customers. They are renovating the kitchen to be able to offer fresh baked goods everyday. Hopefully they will be done soon because I can’t wait to try some guava cake or coconut pie! I brought a few kukui nut leis as graduation presents which were $ 10 and a lot cheaper here than other spots in Seattle area. I think once the renovations are complete and the spot will be a real jewel for the South Seattle/Burien area.

Best Poly market in the Seattle area. Very new and growing! Go in for a visit to check out the offers, you’ll be pleasantly surprised. Ron(Rohit) is the best owner and is so friendly he really knows what he’s doing and is very knowledgable of the different Poly cultures! I’m visiting from San Diego and he gave me a tray of pani popo for free because I was a new visiting customer. That was a pleasant surprise! I hope he remembers me and my family cause we will for sure be back. The faausi is the bomb! Half moon pies are yummy. He carries a variety of other baked goods as well like puligi and banana bread. I can’t wait for our next visit to see how much his business will grow. Very nice owner you will not be disappointed. Nifty tip he also ships to other areas In The US. Amazing owner, amazing place. Can’t get any friendlier then Cynthia’s Poly Market.
