This is a quirky blast from the past cozy instrument repair shop that brings me nostalgic feelings about an era that I’ve never known.
Ed is the equivalent of the uncle that’ll fix up your car just by listening to it, or the carpenter that can fix any thing or make anything just for your specific need. Ed can fix an instrument to that degree of awe and craftsmanship. I highly recommend you take a broken instrument here before you take it to some shop that’ll look up your problem just like you would.

It’s an okay place. My amp blew a fuse so I took it here because it’s the closest amp repair shop near my house. It cost $ 150 dollars and took a month. I’m no expert, but that seems a bit sluggish and little pricey. My two cents.

Meant to write a review a long time ago. I brought in a USB interface 3 – 4 years ago. I’d dropped it and broke the USB connector. Ed was extremely pleasant to talk to about electronics, gear and the repair itself and was very honest and open about what was wrong. Told me it probably wasn’t even worth fixing, but decided to take a crack at it anyway just for fun. Well, he fixed the heck out the thing. As he suspected, after the fix it’s stronger then it ever was. The thing is still working today with no problems at all. Charged a very fair price as well.

Not many businesses or business owners deserve more reviews by sheer satisfaction from its customers. But simply because he is a one of a kind, people must know how legit AND genuine he really is! Brought in an amp and we weren’t sure what was really wrong. It was making strange sounds when played. He found no issues and went through the hassles to make sure. He even replaced a missing wheel for free. Normally people would gripe about their wasted time but he was more than wanting to help. THE man to see with anything related and will officially be going back regularly with any other musical equipment problems

I was experiencing a terrible buzzing/​crackling noise coming from my Fender Hot Rod Deluxe amp anytime I would strum a chord. The owner re-​soldered a few connections, changed out the pre-​amp tubes and had the amp sounding as great as ever in under an hour, all while sharing bits of electronic expertise gained from 30 years in the industry. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and on top of that, gave me a fantastic value for my money. He comes highly recommended.

need a quick solder on a microchip board — the owner was honest and said he wasn’t sure if it would work but he was willing to give it a try for me. even tho i came in unannounced — he was quick, friendly and helpful. didn’t even charge me for the service. and the board worked! so thank you very much! great honest guy!
