Killin it! Gave my baby Atlas the look of a lifetime… Red Carpet ready with his mohawk… hes a morkie, but everyone thinks he’s a baby schnauzer today… lol

Been bringing our Argus a standard poodle for months now, and are very happy with every cut! I’ve never had a dog that needed to be groomed so, all new to me. They gave me great advice on how to get him used to clippers and it worked! He has no issues, and loves going there! I was worried about how he would look not fuzzy but, once I saw that face! I was in awe of how gorgeous he is! They do amazing work! We will go nowhere else! Thanks ladies!

I have a Havanese and as such am always afraid of leaving my dog with an groomer that doesn’t know the breed or how the coat should be cut. Unilocal reviews gave me the confidence to try Lauren and her team. The Havanese has a silky long coat that is prone to matting. Though I am very conscientious and have all the right combs and brushes, I still managed to leave some mats in. Lauren called me about them as she encountered them.
A Petco or Petsmart, or otherwise inexperienced groomer will reflexively shave down the dog which you will discover to your horror when you come to pick it up. Lauren explained that she could brush and comb out the mats for a limited amount of time because at a certain point it would be painful to the dog, and neither of us wanted that.
So I knew to expect that due to the mats the cut may be shorter than I had asked for, but importantly from my perspective, my pup would not be simply shaved because that was quicker and faster.
Lauren also invited me to bring in my combs and brushes and she would show me how to comb in such a way to detect and remove mats. I know it sounds simple but until you’ve owned a dog with a light silky coat you may not grasp why some of us get a little neurotic.
The grooming ran about an hour longer than anticipated due to the mats, and I offered to pay accordingly and tipped on top of that. I appreciate a grooming shop that puts the dog and customer first.

I’ve been bringing my schnauzer here for years and Guy was wonderful, and did a gorgeous job on his grooming. Since he left, every time I picked him up he had new groomer with a «new look» and if I called back to give feedback it was treated as a complaint, not constructive criticism (big difference). Yesterday I dropped him off, Kyla had done him the time before and he looked good so I scheduled his appointment with her. We went over his last cut, discussed any changes (none, just keep a fuller cheek) and I left. Four hours later he’s finally ready, I come in and they tell me Klara Maria, someone new «with a lot of schnauzer grooming experience did him. She literally shaved all the furnishings off his legs, you can see his skin he’s cut so short that he looks like a pig from back, and she ruined his beard and eyebrows. If Guy could see him he would cry, which is what I did after getting him home. If you don’t need a breed specific cut I’m sure this place is fine. If you have a schnauzer DO NOT take him/​her here.

Jack, our goldendoodle, LOVES Lauren. We do, too. She is an extremely talented, patient, and gentle groomer. She always let us know when she has a concern, such as dry or sore paws, and provides great suggestions. Lauren has been his groomer for about four years and we completely trust her to help him stay gorgeous – including keeping his long special lashes.
Lauren is the very best of all groomers in the region, and is also a very kind and genuine person! We recently moved out of state and already miss her terribly. She went above and beyond to provide specific instructions to the new groomer about his sensitive spots and other great tips.

My dogs, Rome and Buddy love this place. Lauren is very good with the dogs as are all who work there. Best little groom shop around!

Lauren is amazing! One of the only groomers I trust with my little Pomeranian. I have tried so many different places because I live in Puyallup, but have always been disappointed with them and end up coming back to Lauren. I’d follow her anywhere! *Extra bonus for how much she loves my dog and treats her like a princess*

Lauren, Yoon and all of the staff always do a beautiful job on all of our dogs. And Yoon in particular has worked miracles after I’ve tried to trim the Cookie monsters bangs myself and made a real hash of it.
The ladies also sent us the nicest card after we lost our two old boy dogs. They treat the owners in the same outstanding way that they treat the dogs and cats.

My Cocker Spaniel puppy Quiggly has been getting groomed by Yoon since he was about four months old and always looked great when I picked him up. Yesterday (8÷28÷15), he went in for his first «big boy» grooming to be trimmed out in an adult Cocker cut. Thanks to his love of his wading pool and all things pine needle and pine pitch related. as well as my own EXTREMELY inept attempts at brushing him out, he was terribly matted. Yoon delivered a MIRACLE!!! His mats are gone and he looks gorgeous. Additionally, Quiggly clearly really likes everyone who works there. When I was picking him up, he came out of the gate to greet me and turned around and went right back in. Clearly, this is a place where he feels at ease. If your dog needs grooming, I highly recommend Yoon and The Painted Puppy in Burien.

Lauren is the best groomer I’ve ever found. I would follow her no matter where she is. I’m glad she has purchased the business so I know she will be around for a long time. My dogs love her and feel comfortable there and they look great when they are done.

I have been a loyal customer at the Posh Puppy for the past 6 years so when Gary sold the business and it became the Painted Pooch I was a little nervous. (I didn’t want my white dog to come out pink, or blue, or purple!) but I knew I had to give them try. The shop was just as I always had known the Posh Puppy to be, clean, busy and friendly. Although the groomer had not handled my dog’s breed before, she listened carefully and the results and price were great. I will certainly continue to bring my fur baby to the Painted Pooch. Good job!

Absolutely amazing. All the employees are amazingly kind and patient with animals. Because let’s be honest here, our fur babies hate this. It’s not a spa day for them. It’s scary water and scary dryers and scary buzzing noises and awful feet and ear touching. These ladies go above and beyond to do all they can to make the animals comfortable and they come out looking just adorable! I would highly recommend this place to anyone with an animal in need of some love.

Lauren has been grooming my two Goldendoodles for 3 years. She is the BEST. She always cuts them EXACTLY how I ask. She is reasonably priced, reliable and really good with my dogs. I can tell she really cares about them. She has worked around hot spots, injured legs, extremely hairy ears, matts – you name it. When first I got my rescue Doodle, he would not even let me brush him. After going to Lauren, he not only likes to be brushed, he will get into the tub on his own. My Doodles are my babies. I wouldn’t trust them with anyone else.

We follow Lauren wherever she goes. She is so good with our two dogs and is just a wonderful person. I am overly-​protective of my dogs, and I totally trust Lauren with my babies.

Lauren is absolutely the best groomer I have found! She is superb with my cat, and is the best with the lion cut.

My two dogs look amazing each time they go in. The staff are really friendly and always answer all of the questions!

A reliably good groomer is very difficult to find and I am happy to say that Lauren has become that groomer for us. My dog Ripley is a bossy, grumpy little guy and we ask Lauren to do poodle paws on him to help keep his paws clean. In sprite of his disdain for this concept, Lauren always get them nice and trimmed up for us.

I’ve been taking my doodle Bella to Lauren for 4 years. I highly recommend her! Last week, Lauren was booked full, so another groomer on her team did the job equally as well. The staff at Painted Pooch takes good care of Bella. She always has a pep in her step after each visit to the Painted Pooch, and she looks great too!

Lauren and her staff are fabulous. I tried several groomers in the area prior to finding her. She does an outstanding job with my dog and is able to help with my her problem areas (eye disease and ears). The salon is pristine which is something I have seen lacking in other salons. Lauren and her staff always pamper the pooches so it’s no wonder my dog gets excited when we go there. I wouldn’t take my dog anywhere else in town.
