I was very surprised to find out about this place in Burke. I usually go to to Korean restaurants around annandale. This place is pretty decent with their food and price. I ordered a fried noodles and my husband ordered bibimpam(spelling). It was really good. I saw someone ordered these intestine, pork and seafood soup, it came out to be a huge portion and they give you rice. I think i will come back to try this menu out. It it located in burke and next to old Giant(no longer there). Parking should be easy to find. They do have lunch special for bento boxes also.

Eating at Manna is like visiting an awesome place in Korea where everyone likes you. You get a friendly bow and a greeting in English and Korean. Most of the customers are Korean(always a good sign) so you can listen to the wonderful sound of people speaking Korean while you eat. When they hand you something they use two hands – as is polite in Korea. This is the real deal. Fresh, delicious Korean BBQ with lots of homemade banchan(side dishes) included free – light Korean potato salad, pickled radish, Kim chee, lightly flavored kale, bean sprouts with a light sesame oil flavor, etc. Delicious. And the service! I didn’t have to order more banchan – they noticed what I ate all of and brought me more. After dinner they brought me a tasty glass of warm cinnamon tea. After I ate they painstakingly packed my leftovers in little boxes for me. The nice lady even came and explained to me which side dishes went best with rice, and which ones to try in wrapped in lettuce with my pork bulgogi. I’m coming back tomorrow.

I am loving Manna. Things I love: 1. Their lunch box portions are huge. My favorite lunch box is their galbi. Cooked perfectly and complete with rice, side salad, sushi, tempura veggies, and a few ban chan sides. It runs about $ 13 but you get PLENTY of food. 2. Service here is friendly. I love the atmosphere. The people are always friendly and have my take out ready for me when I walk in after I call. I love Korean food and Manna is legit. For the Burke/Springfield area, this is place to go.

We decided to try Manna BBQ since it’s the closest Korean food place in the Springfield/Burke area with decent reviews on Unilocal. We went on a weekend so their bento boxes wasn’t available for us to try. My husband and I shared their galbi bibimbap and calamari & pork dish(the latter was a recommendation from our server). We added a fried egg to the bibimbap since it normally doesn’t come with and that’s a dollar extra charge(pretty standard for most restaurants). Everything was well seasoned but they definitely skimp some on the pork belly for the calamari and pork bbq dish. Friendly and polite customer service. Overall we would come back again if we’re too lazy to hit up Korean restaurants in the Annandale area.

Service was great and the food was great! My friend and I ordered the seafood spicy soup(haemul jungol) and it was delicious! There was lots of side dishes and when we ran out of something the servers gladly gave us more. The seafood soup was served to us as the servers cooked the soup at our table. I got to say the octopus in the soup was way to chewy to be actually eaten but everything else was plentiful. There were multiple servers but it wasn’t at all disorganized. I had a great first time here! The price matched what was served and the portions were great!

I’m going to say this is a bit higher than Yechon, food wise. First time my potato boyfriend and I went here we got Japchae and fried rice. I didn’t like the noodles since they were too oily and potato wasn’t a fan of his rice either. Second time we went we got chicken teriyaki bento box and Jjolmyeon(Spicy cold noodles). Potato seemed to really enjoy his noodles, and I thought the bento was good, but not anything spectacular. The interior is pretty nice and clean, no problem finding parking, but I did feel like the restaurant is overlooked often because of its location. It’s good, but not my first choice.

Love, love, love this place. Went here with my sister and brother in law. We did Korean BBQ, sliced pork belly, marinated ribeye, and short rib. Delicious and fresh, yummy to perfection with all the traditional accompaniments. Owner was super nice and friendly and brought out a few extra little things because we expressed interest in trying some more traditional items such as sesame leaves for wraps. My sister and her husband said the dumplings are AMAZING. I cannot wait to go back. Great Burke find.

A++ or five stars for service and 4.5 for food. Loved my vegetable dolsot bibimbap – plentiful mushrooms, cucumber slivers, bean sprouts, greens, and a fried egg oozing creamy yolk. With the spicy red paste mixed in, it was so comforting and delicious. The kimchee pancake while flavorful was not crispy, my preference, which is why i’m deducting .5 a star for food. Their panchan selection is fresh and very generous. And they willingly come by to offer refills instead of you having to flag down a staff for more! Overall, Manna is closer to five stars than it is to four. Service is wonderful. This kind gentleman(manager?) took great care in packaging my leftovers and checked on us frequently, but not too frequently, to make sure we were enjoying our food. So glad that Burke now has a great option for Korean cuisine. Heard the lunch specials are pretty awesome…

This place earned its high rating. I don’t give out five stars easily and this establishment really earned it. I had their wonderful Kalbi dish and was very impressed with its flavor, tenderness, and taste. It was one of the very best that I had ever had. Initially, I had reservation about it because of its color(not bright red), but when I tasted it, I was speechless. Kalbi lovers, do give it a try and let me know your comments; I don’t get commission for advocating it Their tofu seafood soup was very good, too. I loved their many, small complimentary kimchi dishes that they were not stingy about refilling. What a great dining experience! I will go back there many times in the future.

First time coming here and placed a to-go order of bibimbap and galbi. The wait wasn’t long– maybe 10 – 12 minutes which wasn’t bad at all. The waitress brought out traditional cinnamon tea while I waited. When I was leaving with the food, I believe it was the owners came out and cheerfully said thank you and good bye. Came home to find 4 side dishes, 2 soups, and the main food. I like my bibimbap spicy so the amount of gochujang they gave wasn’t enough– thankfully I had some at home. The galbi was a bit too chewy but had good flavor. Next time I’ll try dining in to see if that makes a difference and if they offer more than 4 side dishes. All in all it was okay but I do like supporting mom and pop restaurants as it seemed like it was just the couple that was working the entire restaurant.

I’ve been here a few times for lunch, and it never disappoints. I always go for the Kimchi Jjigae; Manna is one of the few places in NoVa that does a good Kimchi Jjigae. Galbi Lunch Box is standard. The Japchae(it comes in the lunch box) isn’t that great, just ok. The Hot Stone Bibimbab is also good. I’ve tried other dishes that I can’t think of at the moment, but I know they were good, I’d remember if they weren’t. Service is always great, and they’re extremely attentive and accommodating. They give you plenty of banchan and offer more banchan without you having to ask. They’ve even given us free japchae and miso soup for the kids. Can’t wait to go back for more Kimchi Jjigae :)

I stopped by after work after reading the reviews on Unilocal.I ordered the chicken Bulgogi. Thinking that was it. To my surprise they came out with all these side dishes. I sampled each and every one of them. Finally my chicken bulgogi arrived and let me say that it was fantastic. I got more than I expected and it was worth what i paid. I highly recommend coming here if you are in town or if you live in the area.

New favorite place to get Lunch Box Specials! I came here with my friend for lunch & we both got Lunch box specials. I got the Bulgogi Box which was delicious! I think the Lunch Boxes are 100% better than Yechon. It seems like they make the Lunch Boxes fresh unlike Yechon, where the contents of the Lunch Box are soggy & probably are sitting around until it is ordered. I will add that their Lunch Box portion here is smaller than Yechon, but not too big of a difference especially when the quality is better. In addition to the Lunch Box, I also had the doenjang jjigae which was good, but I’ve had better. It had mostly vegetables & tofu, no seafood but some type of meat. Their banchan is a little lacking though, but that’s my only small complaint. The prices are decent too, the Bulgogi Box was $ 8.95. They have a variety of lunch specials aside from the Lunch Boxes. The service was decent, the usual Korean restaurant service that is expected. It’s pretty clean & there’s plenty of seating. Overall, I would much rather drive over here to Burke than to Yechon for Lunch Box specials. Found my new favorite Korean lunch spot!

The food is pretty good, but meat portions are stingy. See that picture of a Dolsot Bibim Bap in the gallery? Do you know what you don’t see? Any BEEF! No, it’s not hiding in a generous heap under that fried egg… you’ll be lucky if you find even an ounce or two… just a few scattered, lonely strips of bulgogi; perhaps they got separated from the rest of the actual portion? Good news: there’s a Giant in the same shopping center that sells food: yes, we were so hungry when we left Manna BBQ that we bought food and ate again at home.

Food: Quality 5⁄5 Authenticity 5⁄5 Reminds me of Korean meals at home, which is what I love the most about it. Service: 5⁄5 Exceptional. Value: 5⁄5 Korean restaurants aren’t afraid to charge and tend to charge a premium-to-middle high price range, but Manna definitely gives you a bang for your buck. It’s affordably priced.

Wonderful food with decent prices and excellent, friendly customer service! After ordering, food came out quick and fresh. During our meal, one of the smiling unjamaa recommended filling one of the lettuce leaves with kimchi and takuwan. It was delicious! We left feeling satisfied and full. The banchan looked so appetizing and tasted so refreshing and delicious. There was even a little bit leftover of the ribeye Bulgogi which they packed with the steamed white rice. This is definitely a family oriented place with a variety of dishes to choose from. After dining here, I’d say this now is my favorite KBBQ place! The servers even the person busing the tables were so friendly, gracious, and smiled often. It’s amazing what an effect that has on your dining experience and the desire to come back again. In fact, they thanked us as we were leaving and said to come back again.

We had Dae gu Jjim. But it wasn’t traditional korean food. I should say Fried Dae gu with chili sauce. Anyway it was okay but the fish was so small. (Most of Napa cabbage and bean sprouts instead Dae gu) My friend told me food is getting small.

It’s been many years since I’ve stepped into this place. I came here when they were Burke Garden(now closed, thankfully). Based on recent reviews, I wanted to give them another try… and lunch was the perfect opportunity. They have a few lunch specials but most of their menu looked like a huge selection of Korean dishes. We opted for the lunch boxes: Galbi for me, and Bulgogi for him! We also ordered the pan fried dumplings(sm=5 pieces). They provide a nice selection of Korean banchan, most we did not eat but the sprouts and black beans were tasty. The pan fried dumplings were awesome. They were fresh, tasty and hot. Our boxes consisted of a cellophane noodle dish, 2 pieces of vegetarian sushi, a small salad, a few pieces of fried veggie tempura, rice and our main dish. All were very tasty. The meat portions were very small, don’t expect a full portion of Galbi($ 10.95) or Bulgogi($ 8.95), more of a sampling. The atmosphere was very lively, most tables filled with small and large parties. The staff was attentive and helpful. Prices seem comparable and it’s local to those of us who live in Burke.
