I’m an adult with braces. I didn’t have braces growing up and after the nagging of several dentists over the years, I finally started my journey. My previous dentist told me that I was a candidate for Invisalign, so I looked up an Invisalign provider close to work and, long story short, I’m not a candidate for Invisalign. I was quoted $ 10,000 for a two year treatment of ceramic (tooth-​colored) braces, plus this orthodontist wanted me to get 4 teeth removed, and double jaw surgery.
Uh, that’s a lot of money, I want to keep all of my teeth, and I don’t want major surgery if I don’t have to have it.
I asked around and my boyfriend’s dad, a dentist in a previous life, recommended Dr. Brosnan. I met with Dr. Brosnan who took a look at my teeth, examined a model of my mouth that my boyfriend’s dad made, and quoted a treatment plan that suited my needs much better (I get to keep all of my teeth and not have major surgery). He offered to recommend some orthodontists closer to work or home, but I decided to stick with him because I was really happy with his plan.
I’ve been seeing Dr. Brosnan for about seven months now (a little over a quarter of my way in my treatment) and the changes in my teeth are amazing. I’m very pleased with my overall experience, the office staff are wonderful, and I’m pleased with the quality of the work. There’s never a wait when I arrive at the office (bonus!), which means that the rest of my day also runs on time.
I would definitely recommend Dr. Brosnan for anyone who is interested in braces, young or old. I’m very pleased with my progress, the timeliness of my appointments, Dr. Brosnan’s work, and the office staff.
