This is my favorite little restaurant! The owners and staff are beyond courteous and the food is amazing!!! The prices are also super cheap for the quality of food! I recommend getting their Stromboli or their pizza, neither disappoints!

This is a great place to eat Italian in Burleson. They have the best food and staff. We have not been there in 4 months and the waiter remembered my order from the last time we came 4 months ago. Continuously pleased with this place you gotta try

Here’s how you can eat healthy at an Italian restaurant: The waitress was a little confused when we, my mom and I, ordered two dishes that normally come with pasta, but we said we don’t want any pasta. She said, you are at an Italian restaurant. Yes, we were but that does not mean we have to stuff our faces with complex carbohydrates that will cause a spike in our insulin and signal our bodies to gain fat. That’s what carbs do to you, especially pasta and bread. So I said we just want the meat and vegetables and the sauce. I got the chicken Florentine which came with a spinach cream sauce and vegetables. It was delicious and very low-carb. My mom got shrimp with marinara sauce and steamed vegetables. Also very good for you and healthy. We turned away the breadbasket. Not good for you. I had a small salad with simple olive oil and balsamic dressing. I wish Italian restaurants would catch on to those of us that are trying to eat low-carb and offer menu items like this that do not have pasta in them. Italian does not have to mean pasta. Or stick with the traditions if you like and join the 70% of our population that is either overweight or obese.

I’m really surprised Sammy’s isn’t better rated. The food is great and the people are pleasant. I’ve had the chicken parm, tortellini and the pizza. I think the pizza is the best in Burleson. Since we discovered it we haven’t eaten pizza anywhere else! And the bread… so good! The restaurant is clean and charmingly decorated. You should try this local gem out instead of giving your money to a chain restaurant.

We really like Sammy’s. We eat here a few times a month. The owner is the nicest man and always stops by to check on us and/or waits on us. The pizza is pretty good, but we don’t think that’s the best thing on the menu. Hubby gets the chicken piccaca and I love the lasagna. The chicken Parmesan is good too. Byob so bring your wine with you. Good for an easy dinner and very inexpensive.

The cheese tortellini with their pink sauces is amazing. The atmosphere is cozy and the wait staff is very friendly.

My almost 2 year old got the kids chicken strips and French fried. The chicken was over cooked so she would not eat it. My husband got the trio. He said that he was not impressed. I got angel hair pasta with olive oil and grilled chicken. Although mine was not on the menu they accommodated me. I enjoyed mine along with the bread.

Went last night with husband. I ordered lasagne — it was terrible!!! Noodles and ground beef topped w cheese. No marinara sauce, no ricotta cheese… just sliced long noodles(not the traditional wide noodles) & ground beef layered. Worst«lasagne» I’ve ever had. Garlic bread was so-so…disappointed with food. Atmosphere nice, service fine…

Best lasagna ever. I crave it all the time. Sammy’s is my favorite Italian restaurant by far. And the service is always exceptional!

Friendly waiter, food was tasty. I had the tortellini with Alfredo sauce, it was fine. Hard to compare Italian food in the States. It’s normally plain Jane.

Umm I guess we ordered the wrong things because it wasn’t as good as everyone says. I had the combo plate with three different things and hubby had a seafood pasta dish. Neither meal was outstanding. To top it off a male waiter stared at my husband the entire time making him very uncomfortable. We won’t return.

My family has always loved Sammy’s, it’s a great place for a family get together. You are remembered by the owners and treated as family by the wait staff. The food is very good and fresh, love some of their lighter dishes, such as the Chicken, but the meatball sandwich is my favorite. Prices are reasonable, and it’s BYOB, which really makes it a great value!

I was disappointed. When I first saw the menu, I was impressed with it, but when the food came, I wasn’t. I would have paid 3 more dollars to find the chicken in my dish. While the breading didn’t taste bad, there was no chicken, well maybe a thin, thin piece holding the breading together. The bread was excellent. The side spaghetti was weak. no body in the sauce and the water separted into a puddle. The only thing that helped the dish was taking the lid off the cheese and dumping a bunch in.

You like bitter tomato sauce then this place is for you. They use the same canned ingredients other small chains use. All tastes the same. You want a good local pizza, go to Mamma’s.
