I haven’t experienced a lot of sushi restaurants so I really don’t have much to compare this place to. But my experience at sushi axiom has been great. Best crab rangoons I’ve ever had. And the crawfish dynamite was delicious. I wish the prices were a bit lower. Love the way the inside looks.

I am worried about this particular location. All-in-all, it is still an OK experience; however, over the past several visits, the overall feel of the place has declined. We visited this location for lunch over the weekend and it started off on the wrong foot. I watched one potential customer walk up and try the door… it was locked. I looked at my watch and it was 12:05PM. They are supposed to open at noon. I waited. Not everyone’s clocks are synced. At 12:09PM I approached the door, only to find it was still locked. I saw movement inside, so I knocked(rather loudly). A young girl(I later found out was brand new to the place) opened the door. I said the door would not open and she replied that it was locked. I stated that it was well after twelve and she laughed and said, «Well, come on in.» There are a few things I do not tolerate about a restaurant and not opening at the stated time is a huge one. It is simply rude as hell. It is the middle of December. Open your damn doors and at least let people into the foyer. If you are running a little behind, apologize to your customers. You are in the service industry. Or, don’t take my advice, steadily lose business, and close your doors. Your choice. Once inside, the mood was dismal all around. The new waitress had been thrown to the wolves as she was the only person waiting tables. But, overall, she was a champ. And, she did receive generous gratuity. Now, about the food… I love the Sushi Axiom location in Montgomery Plaza off 7th in Fort Worth. I always have a great experience at that location. The rice is outstanding, the fish is very fresh and cut thick, the rolls are tight and on point, etc., etc., etc. The Burleson location is not up to the same speed. I never once worried about the food; however, it is a subpar experience for the same exact price. The fish on the sushi is not as thick, the rolls(while holding the same ingredients) are not as tight, and you end up with a lot of rice in your soy sauce if you dip the way I do. I ran out of drink and had to wait quite a while. But, the waitress was one-deep. I fault management for that. She did great considering. It was not«horrible»; however, it was not even close to the experience I would expect for the price. I promised my son a sushi lunch next weekend. I am now torn as to whether to take the risk. I am not really a gambling man.

Probably the worst sushi I’ve had. I’ve been once. Won’t go back. I’m always scared to try new sushi places. But when I do, I’ll order basic items. If you mess up a basic item, that’s it for me. So I ordered a basic salmon roll, some eel rolls, and a tuna roll. One was worst after another. The fish was old, not fresh, it smelt and was dry. I don’t know how this place has been here for so long. Then again. I guess the hillbillies in this area think it’s good and cool. Nice atmosphere. But that’s where it ends. If you want good sushi, go to Piranhas, MKs, or Blue Sushi in Fort Worth.

Service is declining as is ambiance. One of the features here was the bar lighting. Large white light panels with bar stock on glass shelves with lighting from below that slowly changed colors. During my last visit only half the white panels were lit and the shelf lighting had several out, some flickering and a few working normally. Then to top it off, I was there for take out and was in work clothing. The bartender appeared like he didn’t want me there ignoring me until I a asked for service. When he found I wanted takeout he happily passed me off to the hostess for service. The hostess was very nice. The food was good but the fried rice was lacking something that used to make it stand out. I really used to like this place and hope they can bring it back.

First let me say that I eat at Sushi Axiom quite a bit. I enjoy the friendly staff and freshness of the food. I eat there with friends, with business associates, and with my family. Last week I was there with a large party and we spent several hundred dollars. Today I bought lunch for our office and spent $ 118. They gave me an incorrect entrée and when I called to report this, the manager admitted she didn’t know what I meant, but didn’t bother to clarify. So I asked for a refund just for the incorrect item. I was told that she couldn’t do that, but I could drive all the way down there and pick up the correct one. This was not my mistake, it was there’s and our physician went without lunch. I’m surprised that any business would risk losing future profits over something so trivial as the cost of one entrée. What that says to me is that my business does not matter and therefore I, my friends, and other business contacts should find another place to dine. Done!

This place has amazing sushi I eat here every time I come to town and to call their sushi amazing is an understatement, the reason they get 3 stars just because the staff behind the bar and takeing your order or even greeting you are less than lazy /helpful, if you order a drink make sure you brought one with you because it might be awhile before you get one, unless the blonde bartender is here, but then again I keep coming back for the food dam its great

Last few times I have been here the food has been mediocre, at best. The sushi rolls are not as tight as they should be and tend to fall apart. The sashimi is mushy. Easy to tell it has been frozen and thawed. Perhaps living near the ocean before moving here has spoiled me on fish but when I go to a sushi restaurant I expect better than average seafoods.

We eat here at least twice a month, usually take out but sometimes we stay in. We either eat at the bar(if it’s just two of us) or do the hibachi(if it’s three or more of us) and only once or twice have actually sat in the dining room. I like to sit at the bar because the regular bartender, Kara, is excellent. She’s more reserved, not overly chatty, but professional, competent, and, like all good bartenders, remembers what her regulars drink. I can’t say that we have ever had any problems with order accuracy, food quality, or service. This is our ‘go to’ restaurant.

Place is NOTGOOD ! It has been on a downward spiral, chicken was cold and raw hoping I don’t get sick. Hibachi is never open due to no help. Steer clear and go elsewhere.

This is a great place to go for sushi. The spouse and I bike here every chance we get. The female blonde bartender in particular is amazing. Very fast on making drinks and pays a high attention to detail and good customer service. We call her our favorite bartender for a reason. The rolls are great with a lot of ‘signature’ rolls you wouldn’t find elsewhere, and of course the staples you’ve come to expect to be on any sushi menu. The hibachi is always a nice family treat with entertaining and skilled chefs. I’ve never once been disappointed. Come try it!

Came in last night for take out and everything from the ordering to waiting to the food was good, not great. Atmosphere is weird, nice and open with high ceilings but almost too open. TVs on the wall but none were working, which is weird, especially since the HR Derby was on. Bartender who took care of to go orders was running around like crazy trying to keep up with everything. Plenty of other servers around though. Wait wasn’t too bad for food, ordered the grilled salmon which was a little too well cooked, and a spicy Thai beef salad, which was just a spring mix with grilled beef and a slightly spicy dressing. Like I said, it was solid, just not great.

Can’t beat Sushi Axiom! Sat at the bar and Kara took real good care of me. She made a real good Margarita for a sushi place. The grilled chicken spring roll was very tasty but came very late after the Sushi Axiom roll. The sushi bar was much quicker than the kitchen. The Axiom roll is my favorite and that keeps me coming back time after time. Watching hockey on the bar TV and really admire the hockey enthusiasts who stick with this game!

After getting my hair done, we were starving. On a whim we picked Sushi Axiom. It’s been several years since we ate at Sushi Axiom and it was at the Hulen location. They have a hibachi grill, but they close it down between 2−5pm for reservations. You can’t order hibachi if you are in regular seating. Sushi Axiom has a pretty big menu. A variety of rolls and sashimi. Plenty of appetizers to choose from. Then entrees chicken and beef teriyaki, flat noodles, vermicelli with curry, pad thai, orange chicken, sesame chicken, and a ton of other things. No kids menu, but they can split entrees for you or do half price for kids. After telling me I couldn’t get this because of this or we don’t have this, I just wanted to eat and decided on the Beef Tenderloin. For some reason as soon as I seen Orange chicken I wanted it. I usually don’t even eat orange chicken. They ran out of chicken for the orange chicken. Okay. Husband got chicken pad thai. Different pieces of chicken or whatever for each entrée. No more excuses just put my order in and bring my food out. Lol. We also got the pacific roll as well. The pacific roll had shrimp, crab, cucumber, and avocado topped with seared tuna. It was decent. The roll kept falling apart on me. My beef tenderloin was good. I liked the teriyaki sauce. The husband’s pad thai wasn’t bad. It was his first time eating it and he liked it. After I inhaled my food, I ate some of his. We didn’t see our waiter much. The place wasn’t even busy and our drinks were empty for a good 15 minutes before coming to refill them. Sushi Axiom is A-Ok.

Not bad sushi. Rolls on the small side, but quality is good. If I want really good Sushi and pay more, def seek elsewhere.

We live in the area, so this is more convenient than the Fort Worth location. This location is not the same quality and service as the 7th Street location in Fort Worth which is disappointing. This location doesn’t know how to roll sushi. It’s loose and falls apart. The wasabi and ginger are old and the service is slow. Make the trip to Fort Worth, you won’t be disappointed.

I tried this location on a whim and left very impressed. The bar area is huge, huge, HUGE! There is a second bar area that is situated with the sushi chefs as well as a separate lounge on the far end of the venue opposite the bar. There is plenty of seating in the middle of the restaurant as well as on the side. The venue itself is somewhat new(4 years old) yet very nouveau riche in a way with its furnishings and ambiance. The sushi rolls that I tried were your basic California roll and shrimp tempura. The California roll is quite hard to mess up, so I wasn’t disappointed. If I had one criticism, it could be wrapped slightly tighter(the seaweed outside). The shrimp tempura was pretty good and quite authentic. I am very glad that there wasn’t anything imitation with any of the two rolls. The service was quite good. The bartender acted as the server on this visit due to the restaurant being very quite at the time(only two tables besides myself) at around 4:00PM on a Tuesday. The bill came to $ 12.39, which is pretty good considering that I received 8 pieces of shrimp tempura and 6 pieces of the California roll. I usually drink water with cucumber, to which the sushi chef sliced longways to make it look like thin celery sticks(weird, yet effective). Nonetheless, it was a good lunch and an even better discovery that I can’t wait to try again. Oh, the bartender noted that there are other locations in the DFW area besides the Burleson one, so I’ll be on the lookout for those as well.

I like this location better than the one in Dallas. The rolls are good and the drink menu is well put together. The restaurant is well decorated with an intimate atmosphere. Good place for a date. I recommend the Ahi Tower.
