I resurrected my Unilocal account to post this one! I like to give legit reviews, and these guys are LEGIT! So I’ve been looking for a good, reliable, and (let’s face it) honest mechanic for years… I’ve finally stopped looking! La and Edwin at 2M Automotive can come to my house for Christmas! They are the best mechanics, and nicest guys I’ve met in a long time. When my Subaru Forrester engine died, and Subaru wasn’t going to cover it, I asked the car people closest to me where they go. I got this referral and am absolutely content. They were able to find a brand new engine and replace it for less than half the cost that the dealership was going to charge. I ended up taking my wife’s RAV4 by to fix it before we sold it, took my truck down to have it tuned up to ship shape, and then after we sold my wife’s RAV4 we are bringing her Ford Escape in as well. Not only did these guys save me thousands right out of the gate with my own car, they were able to help us get top dollar for my wife’s RAV4, get our spare car road ready and reliable, and now have found a leak with our brand new car that is currently being taken care of by the dealer… Saving us thousands, and possibly the cost of a new car. They’re always super friendly and responsive, and they’re the first people that I’ll actually *wait* for minor service as they always come through in the time quoted as well. I can’t tell you how solid these guys are in one Unilocal review, so hey… Come check it out for yourself! You won’t be disappointed if you do. So three cheers for honest mechanics, and I hope these two can franchise out some day and make the world a better place to drive!

I heard about this place from my cousin after being completely takin advantage of at the last shop I was at, it was a great relief to have met La. He took me for a test drive and followed up with pictures and videos of what was going on with my vehicle. I got a quote from the last shop for 4K and he said it might not even fix my problem. 2M automotive found the problem in a timely manner and was a 10^th of the cost. Thanks again guys!

Ok, this review is long overdue! These guys are car enthusiasts so rest assured they’ll take care of your ride, euro, JDM, 4x4s. You got a euro? No problem, Edwin and La are Audi certified, anything else euro only gets easier after an Audi! JDM, Edwin and La are Miata guys. Offroad? La is into offroading, be sure to check out his rigs when you’re there!
I had bought myself a full set of Stoptech Big Brakes for myself for Christmas last year, 2014! Yeah, that’s how overdue this review is! January 2015, called Edwin and made an appointment for a Friday. Brought the car and the parts in the morning and Edwin immediately starts working on it. La also assisted in between jobs. Finished in the afternoon! and they even washed my car!
July or August 2015, brought the car in for a Turner Motorsport wheel stud conversion. Made an appointment with Edwin earlier in the week and brought the car in Friday morning. In and out in about an hour.
September 2014, 230k maintenance for my 4Runner. Oil change, coolant flush, transmission fluid drain and fill, gear oil change on diffs and transfer case.

July 2013, brought the 4Runner in for 215k maintenance. Changed the oil, transmission fluid and spark plugs. Edwin caught an oil leak on my passenger side valve cover so had the gasket changed.
August 2013, my daughter brought in her Acura Integra in for maintenance, oil, coolant, transmission fluid, and spark plugs. My daughter brought in the car, got a ride to school, after class, the car is ready, and Daddy just has to go pay! As easy as it gets.

I took my BMW 528i there for a second opinion after the dealership wanted 6500 for repairs. 2M charged me 2900 for the same repairs and were fast and friendly.

Very happy with the service. I brought my car in for an oil change and La immediately began working on my car. Everyone there is super friendly. I went in on my lunch break and I was back to work with time to spare. They have a seating area with free drinks, a TV to watch and free Wi-​Fi. I will definitely be taking my car back there! Thanks guys!

Awesome and reasonably priced service. I’ve been looking for a mechanic in the area after moving from the city and this is now my place. Genuinely good people and their prices are super affordable. They are super accommodating and it doesn’t feel like you’re taking to a mechanic, but more like a friend who likes to work on cars.

Very happy I came across La and Edwin. It can be such a crap shoot to find a good person to work on a car. I came in for an oil change and decided to do the 60K service which was do. La could not have been nicer and more helpful and informative. I ended up waiting and they have nice couch and WiFi to pass the time.
Such as good experience that I came back the next day with my wife’s new Mazda. These guys are great and I would highly recommand.

I took a car in for a pre purchase inspection with no appointment and Edwin and La got started right away! Super friendly to my mother and me and all their input was helpful, they know their stuff! They finished the inspection in a timely manner and sent me on my way with all the answers I needed. They also provided cold bottles of water and a very comfy couch while we waited. I’m new to the area and I think I just found my new go to guys! Overall a wonderful experience, not a single complaint. Thanks for the great service! I will be back.

La is awesome!
He has worked on all my cars from my 4 Runners transmission to lowering my M5!
Always does great work and good prices. I told my co-​workers and they also go to 2M I always hear good feedback from them as well. Hands down my go to shop for any car needs.

La is a great guy. He’s honest and knows his stuff! I’ve only been here once to replace timing belt and water pump on my girlfriend’s car but plan on taking my own car to La for some major services soon.

Just brought my ’98 Volvo to 2M Automotive for the first time. Edwin and La, were very helpful, honest, and do great work. Very happy with the service I got today, and will highly recommend them to my friends.

These guys are awesome! I had all kinds of issues with my BMW 325 and they were not only able to fix them but explain the issues in a way I could understand! They’re also very close to the 101 and easily accessible! The owners really seem to know about cars and genuinely care about getting it right! Something you don’t often see with mechanics!

Brought in my Miata and LA and Edwin worked on it right away. Totally honest and highly recommended! Recommended by my co-​worker Jay who takes his Audi for service. I totally pass on the recommendation! A+++++++++++++++++++++++++

Been going to 2M Automotive for years. They are my go-​to mechanic for when I have any issues with my Honda Civic.
One time when my A/​C stopped working, they gave a free assessment/​quote. Stupidly I went to a competitor that offered a «comprehensive A/​C repair.» Big mistake. Their competition ended up costing me 60% more than 2M’s quote, AND the problem was exactly what 2M said it was. I learned my lesson after that.
Most recently I had my 110k maintenance done there. A few weeks after, my check engine light came on, and 2M offered to fix the problem for the cost of parts only, even though in the end the problem was unrelated to the work they did.
It’s hard to find mechanics you can trust at rates that are competitive, but my business will always be going to 2M, even though they moved a few miles farther!

Have been going here for oil changes for roughly 2 years and I have been very pleased with each visit. I also recommended 2M to my parents recently for their oil change and they now prefer going here now. The staff is very friendly, honest and get things done quick. They are very professional when it comes to their service and do not try and hound you for money like other car maintenance stops. Highly recommended! :)

I have been a loyal customer at 2M Automotive for at least 3 years so this review is long overdue! They are the best auto repair shop I have ever used! The owners, La and Edwin are very knowledgeable and professional!
I have taken my Lexus there for major repairs and maintenance and their fees are so much more reasonable than the Lexus dealership’s. They are fast and will go out of their way to make your experience a great one. One time a few years ago, they even dropped off my car at my house after the repair. Both owners are very personable and honest. They don’t overcharge and will not con you into doing repairs for your car that you don’t need. They even do diagnostics for free for their loyal customers!
They will be moving back to Burlingame next month which is great for me since they’ll be a lot closer to where I live.

NEWS FLASH — 2M WILL CLOSE SOON IF ALTERNATIVE SPACE NOT FOUND!
I am female in my 40s, who have own many new and used cars over the years, 2M Automotive has to be the best shop I have visited here in the Bay Area or in the other places I have lived (NY and Boston). Not only are they good, they are also fast, and no nonsense.
Also writing this review to reach out to folks on Unilocal to let everyone know that due to sudden increase in rent, I was informed by L they might have to close shop very soon unless they find a smaller 2000 sq ft commercial property for rent for around $ 4000 in the Peninsula.
If anyone can help, please call 2M Automotive. URGENT ACTUALLY! Unfortunately, I have just moved to the area and don’t have that many contacts here as of now.

AWESOME!!!
came in totally oblivious to what was wrong with my acura integra AND my 540i and La diagnosed and fixed the problem in both cars! Overall this shop is probably the cleanest and best shop around. oh and the waiting room is very comfy just like you were at home relaxing on your own couch. oh and the miatas there are the sickest things ever!

This review is LONG OVERDUE!!! As if Edwin and La need another 5 star review, right? Anyway these guys are awesome.
My car had this engine light on forever and my old mechanic would fix it but a couple days after I got my car serviced it would come back on. La found the root of the problem, made some changes, called me to tell me about and took care of once and for all. They also took it next door to get my smog test so that I could get my register all in one trip.
HANDS DOWN one of the best shops out there.
I met them for the first time and didn’t think twice about who I wanted to have servcie my 100k miles service on my 2005 Jetta.
THANKS SO MUCH guys.
I would 100% refer and send all my friends and family here.
