This property management is the worst ever. David Behling is the rudest person I have ever talked to (we live out of state). He not only did not fix any of the problems at the house that we hired him to manage, he tried to evict our tenants without just cause. My tenants wrote me and told me that David Behling told them that it was not his job to call the people to fix the problems in the house, but in turn it was their job. What the heck am I paying him for? He had someone unprofessionally clean a mold problem in the house I was renting and now, the problem has gotten even worse; the mold has spread throughout the house and the tenants had gotten severely sick. He also bragged to my tenants how he has evicted over 150 people and basically told them that he didn’t give a s**t about them and their financial situation or about how the mold affected their health. In this time where the economy so bad, to have a property manager mistreat tenants like this is ridiculous. My tenenats had been good tenants just up until this month where they fell a little behind and instead of trying to work it out with them, the next day he immediately served them with papers of eviction without notifying me. Now, my tenants have moved out, are countersuing me and Behling property management and am I left wondering how all of this could have been avoided had I not hired Behling Property Management.

DON’T DO IT!
The whole idea of a property mgmt company should be to ease the behind the scenes work with the property owner and the tenant. All Behling’s crew did was complicate things for us and our homeowner.
We had a major water damage issue which left us without full use of our living room, laundry area and kitchen for almost 2 months. They did little if anything to coordinate the contractors to repair the problem, and we had to be at the property multiple times for contractor work.
When our home owner decided to stop using Behling, he continued to automatically take funds from our checking account, even after sending us a signed letter stating he wouldn’t — which resulted in all kinds of banking problems.
Behling does nothing to smooth the home owner — tenant relationship and used the cheapest most unreliable repair people when possible.

This is definitely the worst property management company I’ve encountered. David Behling is just not doing anything at all for our condo complex. We have a huge ceiling leak and damage caused by the roofers last year. After using Behling for almost 10 months now and they haven’t done a thing to resolve this issue. When we call them, his son answered the phone and was clueless about what’s going on — all I got was «Er… I dunno know.» This is totally unacceptable and unprofessional. If he’s going to leave office for the day, he should have arranged a qualified person to be the backup person.
Behling called themselves «boutique» company — I’d say more like a one-​man shop. I can’t believe our HOA has selected such a shaky company.
They made a point not to send out any billing statements to the tenants. But they totally lack a system of recording and documentation. I’m all for going green and paperless (in fact I don’t get any paper bills at all for all other services). But other services has online statement available, online payment system and a website to retrieve past statements and payment history. This shop is still back in the stone age. Nothing online and still charges very high price of monthly dues.
I am already planning to move out of my condo if the HOA doesn’t change the company. It’s definitely a disaster company to work with for services.

All I can say is that David Behling is RUDE RUDE RUDE! This man only has it in for himself and could care less about others. Here is what someone else has said about him; «I dealt with most of the contractors, had a new fence installed, had the building painted, redid the garden, oversaw roof repairs etc. If you expect Behling and Associates to do these things then you may be disappointed… he certainly didn’t regularly make sure the building was being well taken care of (the community room was stacked with garbage and old furniture, the closets in the main hallway were filled with trash from the 70s, the wallpaper was peeling off the entryway walls etc.» People looking for a property manager STAY AWAY! Did you also know that his law licsense was suspended for a brief moment?
