Dorothy Pang Acupuncture

I began seeing Dorothy a few years ago for back pain after a car accident. I’ve come to look forward to my acupuncture sessions — mind and body always feel better afterwards!
Dorothy has helped me understand more about the holistic health of my whole self, and what I can do to pursue balance beyond acupuncture. In the past year, I’ve been able to adjust my diet and self-​care to support my body type (spleen, baby!) and find new energy I never knew I had.
Dorothy is also incredibly pragmatic, selecting traditional Chinese medicine approaches that operate alongside the Western treatments provided by my doctor, to ensure we’re handling my health in ways that are both impactful and practical for my lifestyle. I appreciate her thoughtful, caring approach, and look forward to sessions with her for many years to come!

I first went to Dr. Dorothy about 6 years ago as I was desperate to avoid surgery on both rotator cuffs. My entire health trajectory was also downhill — aside from the shoulder problems, I had pain in my feet, knees and hips — I could see a fully medicated and potentially «catatonic» life ahead of me. Thanks to Dr. Dorothy’s treatments and guidance, today, my rotator cuff tears have fully healed without surgery and/​or pain medication — more important, I have full range of motion on both (something surgery did not guarantee). I am living a pain free and meds free life that allows me to work and play as actively as I can. I have even taken up running and tennis again!

I’ve been coming to see Dorothy for about 5 years now. As a person living with cancer, once treatment is over, you are left exhausted and off balance. I was searching for an alternative to western medicine, and I was blessed to find Dorothy. She has helped me by giving me more energy via acupuncture, as well as controlling my pain. I’ve learned to understand my body better, and she has given me tools to help me have a better and fuller quality of life. I don’t know if I would still be here without her help and guidance.
