Elite Event: Vinyl Room Re-Launch Party

Better late than never — here is my 5 stars for a wonderful evening at Vinyl Room!!! Brought my guest and we’re enthusiastic to go back to the venue some times :-) I love the cozy feeling of the bar, and the bartenders (while busy) were friendly and quick. We loved the macarons, totally made friends with Van and amazed by how dedicated she is to her macarons: P The sandwiches and german sausages were totally delicious too… i’m just drooling right now. But the coolest part was finding out we have local vodka distilleries! Thank you Abby S. and the Vinyl Room for this event :-) The coconut water was the perfect touch to finish the night too.

I wouldn’t have known about the Vinyl Room had it not been for this event so thank you Abby and the Vinyl Room for hosting this awesome event for us Elites and our +1s! I didn’t think I could find a cute, hip bar in Burlingame! Afterall… there’s not very many along the Peninsula! The venue was perfect with the right amount of people! Love, loved the music, especially when the DJ played some Disclosure, teheheh. c:
My favorite drink of the night had to be the B+B Gimlet, as I’m a sucker for all basil things! Mmmmm! My BFF Jessica T., who I brought as my +1 liked the Cucumber Gimlet. Super refreshing, and light. c: Macarons A Go-​Go? I am also a sucker for macarons. Love, loved their Salted Caramel and Nutella flavors. Nutella espppppecially!!! Mmmm. I must’ve had at least 3 of them that night. x: Guess, I was a sucker for the night altogether, hahaha.
Loved that there were donations for the Humane Society and that Macarons A Go-​Go even had cute paws on their macarons for the event. Again, great event Abby S! Thank youuu! c:

Thanks Abby for organizing a great Hump Day happy hour! What better way to end the day with food and drinks? I take Caltrain everyday to get to work, so I just hopped off Caltrain at Millbrae and drove a couple miles to get to Downtown Burlingame. Vinyl Room has a great location in downtown, which is just a couple blocks from the train station. I had never been to DT Burlingame before this event… the area is cute with some small boutiques, restaurants, and higher end stores too.
My friend’s and my first stop (of course) was the bar. I got the Summerlin, which was delicious. The bartender that served us was… easy on the eyes ;) Our next stop was Macarons A Go-​Go; they had doggie paws on them! The salted caramel and nutella were my favorite. In the back were Z Sausages and Ace of Sandwiches, both of which had a great array of food — sandwiches, sausages, and bites of cake/​dessert!

Wasted Wednesday indeed! Thank you Abby & the Vinyl Room for encouraging us to get our drink, snack & dance on :) The donations went to a very worth cause: Peninsula Humane Society!
A big shout out to the vendors:
— Macarons A Go-​Go: who could pass up on these DIVINE bite-​sized sweets? Salted caramel was my favorite!
— Z Sausage: don’t mind if I do!
— The Ace of Sandwiches: YUM! Such wonderful creations. Their signature Ace was bomb but the roast beef was also amazing.
— ZICO Coconut Water: Always a hit!
And who could forget our booze?! So much tequila, vodka, whiskey & gin all around! The bartenders were friendly, helpful & efficient. Hard to believe a place like this in downtown Burlingame stays open till 2! Get your shopping & dining on then come here for drinks, the trifecta! But make sure you designate a driver, use Caltrain or even Über :)

What a great way to celebrate the middle of the week. Big thank you to the Vinyl Room to host us Unilocalers to their fabulous establishment. Also, Thank you Abby for organizing! The Vinyl Room is located in DT Burlingame, a bit far for me but I wouldn’t think twice about coming back. The layout of the bar is perfect. Lots of seats, a dance floor and a huge bar.
The bartenders were so friendly and eager to keep the drinks coming. My favorite was the Hibiscus Margarita. It was so fragrant and refreshing. My favorites of the night were: Z Sausage (Their mustard is to dieeeeeee so good!) and Macarons A Go-​Go which featured a almond butter and raspberry macaron which was insanely good!
Again thank you to Vinyl Room and Abby for planning an awesome event!

Who knew this was here? And only a 20 minute Cal-​Train ride from Mountain View? I’m always chilling in Palo Alto, why not Burlingame?
Their drinks are phenomal– at least the ones I’ve gotten to try:
Cucumber Gimlet — feels like a refreshing summer drink– it’s light in alcohol but will creep up later.
Hibiscus Margarita — I loved this one the best! I felt like this was a big kid’s soda. I kept asking for me
Whiskey Sour –Can’t compare this, as I’ve never had one before :) Maybe takes a little getting used to as I’m usually not a whiskey drinker
Summerlin — It’s like watermelon heaven for me! kool-​aid meets alcohol– or a slight reminder of Jungle Juice ;)
There’s a tiny dance floor– granted, I’m not one for dancing, I did dance with my +1 She loves to dance! :)
Lounging around seems comfy if it’s an intimate gathering and not one intended for a large party. I like it!

This was my 2^nd ever Elite event and I was very happily pleased. Great job Abby and Team, you really know how to throw a great party.
Free food, free drinks, what more can any Unilocalper ask for. The sandwiches from Ace of Sandwich were delish. I had one of each type of sandwich and was pleasantly happy with all. The sausage from Z sausage was good but I was in love with their lemon cake. Lastly, the Macarons from Macarons a go go were ok, but who can complain for free macarons.
Overall, the Vinyl room was a great place to chill and relax in burlingame.

Awesome job by Abby S. and the South Bay Unilocal Team for putting-​on an excellent YEE. My first time to the Vinyl Room and it was a great venue for the event. The first thing to catch my eye as I walked-​in was the bar. The venue also had a good amount of seating, which is rear or you can just stand at the rail and talk to fellow Unilocalers. Hats-​off to Ace of Sandwiches and ZSausage for the delish offerings. I didn’t get a chance to sample the Macaroons, but heard good things. The drinks were flowing and the bartenders did a great job too. Plus, this all went to benefit the Peninsula Humane Society.

So glad there’s an awesome lounge near SFO that has craft cocktails. Anybody can find a cran vodka, but sometimes we all need that fancy Whiskey Sour with egg whites, or a hibiscus margarita for that extra refreshing kick. Macarons a Go Go were awesome as well, much thanks. Sausage catering is real unique, as is the great expertise of Ace of Sandwiches (and their extensive menus they brought, now I need to go). Thanks Abby and Jason for hosting!

Woohoo! Another great night with good eats, delicious drinks and fun Unilocalers!
I would have never chosen to come to a bar/​lounge in Burlingame, but I’m definitely glad I was introduced to it! (Not to mention that it’s only the next city from me, so score)!
Coming in, I was impressed by new décor, long bar and plenty of seating. It’s ways hard to find seating at a bar, but I had no trouble last night. And if you stand next to the railing, it actully doubles as a drink holder! Super cool!
We had some yummy treats for the night — Ace of Sandwiches filled me with a light dinner, Z sausage complimented that sandwich with deliious samples and Macaron-​a-​go-​go completed it with a sugary dessert.
I also had the Hibiscus Margarita and Whiskey Sour as well. I’m not usually a huge drinker, but these would have had me coming back for more!
Overall, I had a great night with my +1, catching up with Unilocalers I’ve met at previous events and meeting new Unilocalers as well.

Event was very fun.
It was nice going out and enjoying some cocktails after having the baby.
The cocktails were the highlight of this event.
They had a special vodka, gin, whiskey, & tequila with all their own signature drinks.
1. Hibiscus Margarita– Yummy and a little tart
2. Summerlin– Which was a vodka drink with watermelon purée. I had two, one was sweeter than the other, I preferred the sweeter tasting one.
3. Whiskey Sour– My hubby drank this and the next one all night. Topped with egg whites– very tasty!
4. B+B Gimlet– Which was made with the gin and a ton a basil. I really don’t like basil drinks at all, but Rey was all into it!
They had Sandwiches from Ace of Sandwiches. I was only able to try one and it was yummy. They went fast, by the time I finished. All they had left was their vegetarian one :(I need meat!
German sausages were a hit for me and my hubby.
This was a great event. I love that there was donations for the Humane Society. I love supporting anything animal! That said from «The Vet Tech».

Nothing like a little bit of Thursday night fun at a fun Unilocal event to top off a work day!
As usual the YE crowd were a cool, friendly bunch to be around. Vinyl’s Room funky beats couldn’t stop me from tapping my foot in my bar chair! The bartenders were humping away the entire time for all us thirsty Unilocalers. Between my bf and I, we tried the Hibiscus, Summerlin and Cucumber Gimlet. They were lovely refreshments to wash down some Bavarian sausage, German meatballs and some yummy potato thing from Z Sausage. I couldn’t leave Ace of Sandwiches out and ventured to their table for a delectable gourmet turkey sandwich bite. For dessert, I had one of those little raspberry cube treats from Macarons a Go-​Go. All three tickled my palette– yummmm.
Just as others noted, the place was perfectly loaded with just enough of us to not feel like sardines in a box. Thanks to Abby for putting together another fabulous event and wishing us a safe drive home!

MAN — I haven’t been to an elite even since like 2009 and boy am I glad to be back in! First off, my fiancé and I were curious about checking out the Vinyl Room and it seems like the universe heard us and delivered. This place is pretty cool standard bar with plenty of room to sit. DJ area in back AND its open til 2am. But the event was definitely up to Elite event standards and more. They had a spread of sammiches from Aces and delicious sliced sausage meats and meatballs from Z sausage. 3 different types of macaroons — I tried all three. Oh yeah, and of course, free drinks — what UP.
But what shocked me the most was that everyone who came out looked like they were hitting up the bars/​clubs in SOMA, on a Friday night. Ladies were dressed to the nines and the guys were all spiffy. I was definitely underdressed but still had a great time.
I am definitely excited to go to more events.

What else can you say about all the YEE our awesome manager Abby throws for us south bay peeps. We even got a Unilocal shot glass for the hard work of checking in. 25 Stars!!! Well, we’re only limited to 5 but you get my drift. Another awesome event with lots to drink and eat as well as doing it all for a good cause. We donated some $$ to the Peninsula humane society as well as had a bunch of drinks mixed by the bartenders here at the Vinyl room. One of the few bars on the peninsula that is open til 2am with a DJ on party nights. The music was bumping and everyone seemed to have a great time.
Big props to all the vendors who came out, Sandwiches were on point, the sausages were great and the macrons hit the spot for a nice dessert. Couldn’t have had a nicer night out. Can’t wait for the next event as I know it will always be a blast.

Dropping in the honey and I scored ourselves a seat and went off to investigate the foodstuffs.
I was a huge fan of Z Sausage, their German sausage was mouthwatering and loved Macarons a go-​go (I’ll be checking them out at the next Palo Alto Farmer’s Market). After grabbing myself a stiff Whiskey Sour and grooving to some classy tunes from the awesome DJ, I downed some of the wonderfully tasty Zico coconut water.
Many of you might not know my love affair with Zico coconut water started at a South Bay YEE several years back, and now I don’t know what I’d do without the stuff!
A big Unilocal thanks to Vinyl for hosting us again for their big re-​launch and a huge thanks to Abby S., who as always pulled off a fun and fantastic affair!

Cheers to a fun YEE in Burlingame, a great pawwww-​ty for a great pawwwwssss in support of the Peninsula Humane Society and SPCA ~ genius Abby! The bartenders were friendly and hustled on the drinks. The female bartender really tried hard and shared with me they just got the drink list before the party. Overall, I was ecstatic to get into one of Abby’s South Bay YEE, and embraced every moment. I mingled with new Elites and their +1’s, nice to see familiar faces from Prom Night. It was a pleasure meeting Belmont peeps and remembering fond memories of our childhood in SF.
The ladies were super sweet from Macarons A Go-​Go, the cutest desserts I’ve ever seen with paw prints to show support. The sandwiches were tasty and much thanks to proprietor Juan for hosting us. I will definitely get the word out, we brought sexy back to this place and will continue to do so. It’s a staple amongst the community, and offers a great happy hour… can’t beat it elsewhere. Shout out to Michael from Old World Spirits for introducing/​promoting Blade Gin. The DJ was rockin’ it.

Cocktails, sandwiches, oh my! What an awesome Unilocal event! The cocktails were absolutely spectacular and the food was delicious. Loved the German food, the Sammies and the macaroons!
Really great event with just the right number of people. :). Didn’t feel too crowded but wasn’t awkwardly empty either. Good work Abby on the event planning front!
Also really appreciated the heads up that drinks would be flowing. Took the cal train and definitely don’t regret it.

Sonya & I was taken care of by the awesome bartender Eric for the night. He made some good drinks for us including the summerlin (my favorite!), hibiscus margarita, whisky sour & cucumber gimlet. He would check on us & make sure that we were never with an empty glass!
Just the right amount of people where it’s not too crowded. I also finally got the Unilocal shot glass to add to my Unilocal swag collection, yay! Thanks Abby, the Vinyl Room & the rest of the sponsors for a great night out! :)

This wonderful soirée that Abby pulled together had it all. Good food, yummy dessert, great drinks, friendly Unilocalers and a wonderful non-​profit to support. Peninsula Humane Society is near and dear to my heart because I adopted my dog Buddy from them, so I was so happy that this YEE was focused on raising funds for them. Even Macarons A Go Go put paw prints on their macarons for this event — cute!!! The sandwiches and small bites were perfect for this affair. Just enough to get a good taste and walk around to mingle.
So nice to see new and old Unilocal friends tonight. I’ll need to go back sometime to try their tastings. This is a pretty cool place for a group gathering, especially since they’re open until 2:00 am. Who am I kidding though, I’m getting too old to be up that late.

What a great YE event the food was amazing and we had the drinks flowing as all the Unilocalers were getting crunk… Music was bump bump bumpin! Free Unilocal shot glasses upon entrance, gotta love that!
