I am a psychotherapist in practice for over 30 years, and I met Dr. Kathy Allard over 20 years ago through a year-​long family therapy training program. I was very impressed by her success with the families she treated through the program. Since that time Dr. Allard has continued to refine her skills with numerous trainings and much experience. She has become my go-​to person for referrals on the Peninsula, and I have complete trust in her work. I have gotten only good feedback from the clients I have referred to her.
Dr. Allard is one of the best Psychologists I know (she is also a Marriage and Family Psychotherapist.) She is compassionate, approachable and real. I saw Dr. Allard several months ago for some counseling regarding some personal problems. I use to come home from work and almost have no energy to deal with anything. I was listless and this was starting to effect my family. It’s very hard as a man to admit you have issues and that you need someone to work with you. I think Dr. Allard sensed that and she really made me feel comfortable. Sometimes you just need a professional, caring, empathetic person to talk to.

Really good choice for me and I don’t think I could have done better to find a counselor (Psychologist/​Psychotherapist – it gets confusing!) I actually knew Dr. Allard when she was in San Mateo, and followed her to the Burlingame/​Hillsborough location. I have known Dr. Allard for over 10 years now. Though I am not a current patient I still check in with her periodically to keep myself grounded and focused in the right direction.
