Amazing, exclusive, professional. Since first moment I felt that I’m in good hands of Rachel. She gave me a lot of information about my skin and how to take care of it. I loved the treatment (M signature facial), so relaxing and precise. I also waxed my eyebrows and she did exactly what I asked for, keeping my natural shape. I will come back there for sure!

I really like the renovation (yes, it’s been a while since I was there) and I really liked the friendly but soothing and calm atmosphere. I had super great waxing services from Mary and I really like that this is a woman-​owned, locally-​owned place.

I had a great experience as a first time client at Marlinda’s. A week after my eye brow shaping I visiting a well respected Bay Area Plastic Surgeon who made the comment, «I see you’re maximizing what you can do with your brows.» How cool is that!
I went in the first place because I“m at the age where chemical peels could really make a difference. I went in not knowing what I should ask for, and was directed to the salicylic product. I loved the results; my skin looked fresh and rested.
Highly recommend Marlinda’s.

I’m new to the area and looking for new everything. I stopped into Marlinda’s and a whim and they were able to book me the next day with Marlinda herself. I had a facial, microderm, and brow/​lash tint.
I’m very happy with the results. The microderm machine here gives a serious treatment… it hurts a little but is definitely worth it. Marlinda puts on a pumpkin enzyme after to eat up dull skin. It feels great, but it’s hard to not lick your face haha. My skin feels wonderful and I was able to meet my husband for lunch after because she was careful with the dye on my brows… no Groucho Marx post tint brow here.
She also takes a consultative approach. I have permanent brows and am not 100% happy with them. Marlinda offered suggestions to improve them. I’m considering moving forward with her suggestions because they would solve all of my concerns.
I’m already looking forward to going back in October for another facial treatment!

Reviewing my first visit to this spa as I’m new to the area, and really can’t say enough great things about the staff and facilities. Check-​in experience was professional and welcoming, and actual care was really fantastic. Went for waxing and will be back for skincare and other needs, whenever I can. Christina was great and super friendly… a big improvement on some experiences I’ve had in SF recently.
Checked in and redeemed the offer for a discount (do this!). They also politely (without sales pressure) informed me of some other services they offer… class acts.
Clean, calm and sanitary environment… they clearly take pride in their business.

Marlinda’s spa is great place to get facials if you’re ever in Burlingame. I’ve already had 2 treatments with one of the newer aestheticians, Vicki. It felt so good to be pampered for 50 minutes with the signature facial. My last visit included the Vitmain C mask which was great! Aside from the treatments, I enjoy the mini massages on my neck, shoulders & arms. #spalife Looking forward to my next visit in a couple of weeks!

It’s been long enough since I had my first visit here that I am comfortable leaving a review. I wanted to leave a review immediately but since I was so friendly with both front desk guy and waxer, I was kind of scared they would remember me and then call me lol. This Brazilian was my first strip wax ever, as my regular waxer at European (blue hard wax) was unavailable
Firstly, the guy at The front was the SWEETEST and my waxer was also very nice
But that doesn’t negate the fact that this was the most painful wax of my life and left me in pain for three full days. I can still remember the pain, and its been over a year. I had been getting regular Brazilians for over a year at this point so I thought i knew worst case scenario for bajingo pain. Boy was I wrong. As another reviwer mentioned, have endured 2.5 hours of tattoo session on my inner arm, I know pain. I have felt the pain when your adrenaline runs out and your body starts to fight back
And this pain, in 20 minutes, was so much worse
I appreciated stacys thorough approach, she had me move my legs in all these crazy ways to really get in there … But seriously that shit fucking hurt. It hurt more in specific areas like inside of my thigh and I had noticed it was quite raw for a few days. I wonder if she waxed my skin off ?
At the end she handed me a wet hand towel to wipe myself down with… That was new. Usually the esthetician cleans me up for me Cus I cant see where you left wax on my ass. Usually they use a nice cool alcohol wipe or something, not a wet rough hand towel on my raw nether region
I really suggest trying the blue hard wax method if you are a regular here. It legitimately cuts down on the pain by like 70%. I recommend Heather at the foster city european location if its your first time for a wax, she’s fast and the least pain I’ve ever had. marlindas would definitely benefit from learning that method. I’m a big advocate of less pain to your hooha lol especially for first timers. Marlindas is also a little more expensive than others, which I cant see the value

Did I mention that Stacee also does facials? How have I managed to go the first 30-​something years of my life without ever having one? A travesty, I tell you!
Since this was my first time, Stacee recommended the signature service, one hour of pure bliss. I had heard horror stories from friends about facials gone wrong and didn’t want anything too major — no rashes, scars or splotchiness. The signature facial incorporated a few products, one that cleaned the face and another that ate away at the dead skin. Nothing crazy.
Then came the massage. No one told me that facials usually involved a good shoulder rub! Had I known, would’ve signed up way sooner.
At the end of the appointment, my skin was glowing! And it stayed looking good for weeks after. Hence why I’m doing these somewhat regularly from now on. Wax and facial Friday, baby!
