Once we decided we were going to sell our home to move to the North Bay, we knew that Maryellen was our only choice to sell our San Mateo Park home. Maryellen has the experience and knowledge that you want when dealing with such an important transaction. Maryellen, she is highly respected and liked in the real estate community. I can’t say enough about our experience we had while working with Maryellen Curtis. Her knowledge of the housing market in San Mateo Park is superb and she will go the extra mile to provide great client service — whether coordinating with third party services, or dropping everything to get a deal done. When I received a job offer in San Diego a few months ago, I needed to sell my condo — and quick! I asked my friends/​family for suggestions of local realtors, and interviewed a few agents before going with Maryellen. I liked her spunk and honest attitude. I’m a straight shooter myself, so I felt at ease working with her because she was honest about what I could make in this market, even if it was lower than I wanted to hear. She was very helpful in explaining my options and gave me good/​honest advice when it came to things I knew nothing about: staging, pricing, and negotiating with potential buyers.
Her knowledge of the market seemed effortless and I was very comfortable working with her knowing how long she has been in this business.
My condo was sold! yes! I recommended her to my friend circle — as we are now at the age of buying property. If I move back to the bay area, I will definitely be looking Maryellen up for help!

Maryellen Curtis is not someone I would do business with. Our experience was more than unsatisfactory. We interviewed her to be the listing agent for the sale of our house. We shared with her all the details of our home both the strengths and weaknesses. We did not list with her after careful consideration. Curtis then proceeded to throw us under the bus with her negative comments that created doubt in prospective buyers. She would tell them why they should not consider the house. She did not show the house once in spite of the fact that she was representing a comparable house a block away. We know she made the comments from the feedback we got from other prospective buyers. I don’t think this was ethical nor professional.
