Great customer service! Daniel helped me out. My dogs are finicky eaters and they like wet food more often than not. He recommended FirstMate and a raw booster as well. My dogs are loving it! I’m so glad to get them off wet food to help with their teeth. Daniel also mentioned that the dog food will also help with reducing tear stain.

As a new pet owner I was very nervous about bringing my newly adopted dog, Solo, home. I was looking around at all the beds, foods and toys when Sormeh approached me and asked if I needed help. She was very patient with me as I was having a hard time deciding between two brands of food. She told me the benefits of each and even recommended the one she prefers for her dog. Her friendly attitude made the experience very pleasant and I look forward to going back

I have been coming to this store for the last 4 months, when I just got my puppy. The customer service and staff here is fantastic! I live down in Santa Clara, but come to the Burlingame Pet Food Express because the staff and experience is way better than the San Jose store. I have dealt primarily with Mike and Sormeh (sp?) and they are both great! Mike was so knowledgeable about the different dog foods, and help me pick out food that is healthy for my pup and she loves it! Sormeh has helped me more times that I can count picking out the right toys or martingale collar for my pup. And the pet wash area is always very clean! Love the staff, love all the dog goodies I purchase there and love the experience! I will continue to be a regular for sure!

Great customer service! I didn’t catch his name but the gentleman who helped us was realllllly helpful! He listened and gave really good feed back. We needed doggy food and treats. He suggested that we should get this treat to keep our little guy busy. He also said try grabbing this treat away from your dog and he will growl. I didn’t believe him at first but he is RIGHT! We tested at home and Luigi didn’t even let us get close to it! Have to go back for more!

We wash our dogs, buy our dog treats and toys here. The people working here are always so nice and helpful. They actually believe in customer service!

I have a 4 year old Olde English Bulldog who has some irritated skin issues. After talking with Sormeh, she graciously directed me in the direction of some topical solution that has worked for her animals as well. Sormeh was a wealth of knowledge and was a pleasure to encounter! :) I look forward to trying the solution she suggested! Thanks, Sormeh!

Yes, I really like this store. I found out about it because my friend’s cat’s photo was hanging on the wall! Evidently if you donate $ 250 or $ 500 to a local animal rescue this store will have a photographer come to your home and photograph your pet. Then they blow it up all huge and put it on the wall of the store! So that was about a year and a half ago and since then I’ve been going everyone month to get my kitty’s food. I keep going because the staff is really friendly, knowledgeable and they have a great selection of quality dry cat food.

My mother and I had the best experience at this location tonight. Mike, Tim, and Marco helped us out more than they will understand, talk about paying it forward! We were busy all day and realized we forgot to buy dog food, we completely ran out. We called the store and Mike answered and explained to us that they were closed, but that he would wait for us! We were so relieved. We arrived at the store and they opened the doors, and with smiling faces they handed us our food FOR FREE. They said to us «don’t worry about it, we didn’t want your dogs to not eat». In a world where nothing is handed to you this felt nothing short of a blessing! Thank you so much to Mike, Tim, and Marco, you guys rock! We love this location, this staff is awesome, they always work with you and always provide knowledge!

Stopped in here to use the bathroom and of course ended up buying a toy for my pups. The prices on everything were about what you can expect to find at other locations. However, they had a HUGE rope toy that was only $ 15! The large ones at other stores I’ve seen aren’t even as large and are twice the price! I wish I lived closer to this location as they had an amazing bathing area that would make it so much easier to wash my large dogs (maybe others have it as well, I just rarely stop at this chain). Definitely going to stop in next time I’m in Burlingame.

The employees here are so amazing and helpful! They go out of their way to talk to you and make recommendations, but not in a pushy way. They carry the food we use, Spot’s Stew Grain-​Free, and the litter we started out using, Smart Litter Organic n’ Safe. I enjoy how engaging the people are, and the selection available. They have Haddock, which our cats LOVE!

This is my very first Unilocal review and I’m super excited! I came in on Monday to browse around and I met TOM. I’ve always pretty much had a good experience at Pet Food Express, (Daly City, Millbrae, Burlingame) but TOM is by far the most outgoing, knowledgeable worker there! I’ve enjoyed/​learned informative detail about flea preventative and I could imagine how much more fun I would have had learning about raw food diet for my dog if I had time, so I would definitely go out of my way to look him when I’m ready to get my dog started (I have a giant bag of her old food and I don’t want it to go to waste plus I need extra to transition). Thank you Pet Food Express for carrying top quality products, nice/​well trained staff and TOM! TOM is a super intelligent, outstanding star worker and I have no doubt there are lots more individuals at Pet Food Express just like him.

Outstanding service. Walked in with a dog we just picked up from the SPCA and wanted to get a new leash and training harness. The hound lady who helped us was awesome and knew her stuff. Pulls out 3 options, shows us how to put each of them on the dog and then let’s is take the dog for a walk to see how each works/​feels.
She knew her products, very helpful and we left very satisfied. Honestly not what I expected given previous experienced at other pet stores.

I love this place. They have such high quality food for your pets it feels silly not to shop here. Plus their whole deal of buy 3 get 1 free is awesome!

Came here with Eric C. cuz he was shopping for his house dog. As he went to find his items, I was drawn to the barking and whimpering sounds coming from the back end of the store.
I went straight to the back and was surprised to see Pet Food Express workers and dog owners giving their dogs a bath. There were big retrievers and little terriers sitting and standing obediently getting their baths. SO CUTE!!!
SERVICE:
Staff here are extremely friendly and knowledgeable about puppy diets, toys and treats. One worker recalled trying a bacon treat before buying it for her dog. You tasted a treat out of the bag? Not too appealing for me but whatever works for you I suppose. xD

On a steamy hot day in the bay, we were on the hunt for some poochy ice cream treats.
We checked every level of the frozen food section at Safeway, Mollie’s and found nothin. I mean, don’t get me wrong. My pooch would love nothing more than a 3 pack of It’s It ice cream sandwiches. He’d probably be a huge fan of the oatmeal cookie and the ice cream and all that, but that’s not something we wanted to give him.
We walked in here and the store is super clean and very large. Semi friendly customer service made it a breeze to find some treats for the pup. They have a wide variety of food options for man’s best bud. Just walking around made me realize that we treat our pooches pretty darn good. Gluten free cookies, pork products and everything in between. Solid store that I think we need to revisit cause poochy needs to drop some lbs.

Although I love to support small businesses, I still love this Pet Food Express. They have a great variety of holistic dog food brands. In comparison to every Pet Store I have been to, the staff at Pet Food Express is always the most knowledgeable providing the customer with their honest, most truthful advice and opinions! They are amazing.
They have doggie bathing area which I have seen in use and seems very handy for owners of big dogs. There is also a posting board near this area with dog sitters and walkers in the area.
Lots of selection on great harnest brands, healthy treats, and grain-​free foods. Pet friendly of course so my dog comes with, and they always give treats to your pup when you make a purchase. I like this location — big store and lots of parking.

I bring my dog here during the cold months to give him a bath. He isn’t too fond of getting baths, but he loves it here. The water is warm, and you get the option of choosing which soap you’d like to use.
The people who work at the store are really nice too. I think one requirement for any pet store would be «a love for animals.» I genuinely get the sense that all these people love animals.
My biggest qualm with most pet stores is the smell of urine or feces. I know the pets can’t help it. But the employees at this store keep the place really neat and clean. I really appreciate the effort.
I’ll definitely bring my dog back here to get more baths and treats.

Did I ever mention how much I spoil my two puppies? I love visiting pet stores and when I’m home in Millbrae, this is the best pet store around (I can’t wait for the Millbrae Branch to open).
They carry the TOP LINE foods for you and your four legged best friends. Like seriously. Raw food such as Primal, Freeze-​Dried Food such as Grandma Lucy and The Honest Kitchen, and good kibbles such as Nature’s Variety. They have this really good policy of dog foods that has been recalled won’t get put on their shelves unless they get some kind of papers from the company saying that the food is okay again. (GOOD because I do not keep up with what dog foods are recalled!). Prices are very reasonable. It’s hard to say because they do sell some of the food at Petco for cheaper at times.
They also have lots of variety of treats and toys. So your puppies do not end up destroying the house! Wish I had bought more toys earlier because I have random carpet areas where my puppies tries to tear up and chew. Prices for toys are cheaper here I think.
One last thing. I love the SELF-​SERVICE DOG WASH. It has saved me from chasing down my GSD for a bath in my house!
This is my go to pet store when I am back home visiting the parents. Otherwise you can find me at my other favorite pet store.
