If you are looking for a high quality salon experience without the stress of being rushed or looked past, then this is the perfect option. Linda is extremely qualified, with previous work experience in high end salons, and it definitely shows through her current work. She always takes time to make sure she knows exactly what the customer is looking for, and works with them and suggests ideas if they don’t come in knowing what they want. Linda is very creative and has a good sense of what looks good on different people. As a person with thick and coarse hair, it is difficult to find hair stylists that know how to cut my hair in a way that will require low maintenance to look good every day, but I have never been disappointed after getting my hair cut here.
Also, the actual red chair studio is adorable and whenever I go there, it feels like I’m just visiting a friend. She is very friendly and will make you feel at home!

Tucked away in the corner of her nature-​inspired house is this cozy salon decorated with personal mementos, pictures and other captivating knick knacks that grab your attention. I LOVE how she does my hair. I have extremely curly/​long hair and it’s so hard to find the right product, but Linda has so many tricks up her sleeve that she always gets it right. And if she doesn’t, she’s not afraid to try something new.
Linda is a natural at styling hair and is great to talk to. The time just flies by! After visiting Linda, she is the only one I will let cut my hair. Great environment, great price, great hair!

I was looking for a salon that uses Organic Color Systems hair color and in my search I came across the Red Chair Studio about a year ago. It has been a fantastic experience getting to know Linda (owner and stylist). She is creative, committed and does her best to leave the customer satisfied. I absolutely love the setting of the home studio and the intimate experience of a small one person salon. Linda always adds a nice touch by leaving a sampler of exotic teas, chocolates, nuts or fruit to munch on.

Red Chair Studio is the best! Linda is not your average barber. She is an experienced, talented hairstylist. she listens to what you want and always has great styling tips to give. With a background in design, she knows what looks good and is not afraid to be creative.
Scheduling an appointment with Linda is much easier than going to the local barber. You can usually let her know a time that works for you and she is willing to get you in her red chair as soon as possible. There’s no waiting around all afternoon!

What a find! I have spent many years of frustrating pilgrimage from one hair salon to another, where one stylist after another would explain how difficult it is to cut my hair (I am a man with fairly wavy hair), while making me look like Elvis, Vin Diesel or my dog, depending on the day. But now that I found Linda, my search is over. She gave me the best haircut in many years.
Linda paid attention to how I wanted my hair to look and then proceeded to do just that, offering excellent suggestions along the way. She took a lot more time on my haircut than what I am used to in other places. Not only did my hair look great, but I had a fun time chatting with Linda and finding out about her interesting life.
The studio’s physical location is also very unique. Up in the hills of Burlingame Hills, surrounded by trees and spectacular views of the bay.
