Went to see Dr. Sze for the very first time and was disappointed. She didn’t go into very much detail, and I could tell she was in a rush to get out of the office. She was also very cold and didn’t seem caring at all. I wouldn’t want to see her again.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Sze for more than 8 years now, even before she moved to Burlingame. She is very friendly and caring. I’ve seen Melissa French (midwife) when Dr. Sze was out on maternity, she is super nice too. The offices are very clean and well kept.

First off, let me start by acknowledging that all females think they have the best OB. That being said, Dr. Sze is the best OB. She’s done two c-​sections on me, and I wouldn’t have it any other way, After my surgery, all the nurses always commented about how wonderful my incision looked, and that Dr. Sze’s incisions always look so beautiful. She is also known for having such calm babies during circumcisions. Dr. Shapiro did the circumcision on Boy #1. It was fine, but of course my baby came back screaming and uncomfortable the entire day. Dr. Sze did the circumcision on baby #2. Guess what? He fell asleep during the procedure. Enough said.

I’m pretty particular about my female health doctors, and while I had a good experience with Melissa French (midwife who actually takes the time to listen to you), I’ve been primarily seeing Dr Sze for the past two years and she goes out of her way (more than a lot of other doctors I’ve had) to not only ensure that she is giving a thoughtful assessment to me but she also follows up very regularly. I appreciate that, given that it’s impossible to get an appointment there and they are slaves to the insurance companies.
The office itself I have had mixed experience with but overall above average.

We went Dr Sze several years ago and wouldn’t recommend her. After numerous infections to the sutured C-​Section, it finally healed in about 6 weeks without much of their care. Luckily our child is healthy.

Women Caring for Women! (I think that’s what the office door says.) It’s the shared office of Drs. Debra Shapiro and Janie Sze. I’d have given 5 stars but sometimes it’s tough to get an appointment. For my first yearly exam it took nearly a month before anything opened up. The office is brightly colored, well lit and fun. The sofas are purple and lime green! The receptionists are very nice.
I didn’t meet Dr. Shapiro or Sze. Susan Graven, a nurse practitioner in the office performed my examination. She was very friendly, pretty gentle. When she pressed down on my stomach to feel my organs it was really uncomfortable but I don’t know how that part of a pelvic exam could be any more comfortable.”
