Tez Marble

i just finished having my granite countertops installed. My wife and I are very happy with the entire process. Alper and Liisi were easy to work with, and Alper had good advice. The quality of the granite and pricing were much better than we had found anywhere else, after several weekend searches. They referred us to a good installer (Sergio) as well.

We can’t say enough about Imani, Amy and the rest of the team at Tez Marble! They did a fantastic job for us during the recent remodeling of our new home in Burlingame! They had a terrific selection of stones and tiling to choose from, were very competitive on pricing and, more importantly, were extremely passionate, professional, and committed to helping us get our design right. We used them for the materials we needed to retile our fireplaces and for our kitchen backsplash and countertops. Because we had such a great experience, we’ve decided to use them again for the complete remodeling of our master bath. Thanks to Imani and the rest of the team for all their hard work on our behalf! I love the selection they offer at Tez Marble. Paulina is great! She is very attentive and helps in suggesting what will work together. She has been wonderful about contacting me when a new product arrives that might work for one of my projects.

I spent a lot of money getting a large slab of stone for my rental property. They set me up with their installer guiermo and Jeroldo. These two guys took 8 months to fabricate one stone for one cabinet… This is only after calling them weekly and harassing them. I finally called tez marble to get help, but sorry they are too busy trying to sucker other potential buyers. They bought into the story of their installer that I could not be reached, seriously? I have a rental property to rent! Tez marble could not be bothered. On another project they were doing for me they never returned my two new sinks that they needed to fabricate the stone. It has been two years now and I still don’t have my sink! I still can’t reach them and I stupidly paid them. I would never deal with this company again… they don’t stand behind their customers, and they falsely recommended installers that are not reliable. After they get their mighty buck they are through with you!

Paulina helped us get the right tile color and finish combination for our bathroom walls and floors. The job is near completion and looks great!
She even personally picked up the last box of edge tile in SF and brought it down to Burlingame for us.

Paulina knocked it out of the park! I went in with a idea and she helped me get exactly what I wanted. I walked in and she offered her assistance right away. I will definitely be buying more stone from Tez Marble and they will be on my referral list for my clients.

We enjoyed working with Paulina, she is wonderful! She gave us that special personal attention which is lacking among sales people these days. Also, went out of the way for us, providing service and helping us, even on her days off. How about that?!

We lost our house to a fire and had to rebuild. Starting over from a blank canvas was not as fun as we thought. We wanted everything to turn out perfect. We had a terribly time deciding on our kitchen backsplash to match our quartzite counters. After many stores we stumbled into Tez Marble. What a hidden gem with the amount of choices. While we didn’t pick our bathroom tiles from here I really wish we did. Imani was fabulous. He listened to our likes and dislikes and with his design experience he led us to our new fabulous beautiful kitchen. He was not a pushy sales guy but truly cared about what we said and most what we wanted. His suggestions and recommendations ended our painful search. I highly recommend Imani on any project, big or small, that you have. Not sure if we will need additional tiles or slabs but if we do we will be sure to return and work with Imani again.

I’m a General Contractor and have worked with Paulina at Tez Marble on quite a few of my client’s kitchens and bathrooms. Paulina was very attentive to my client’s needs and recommended great tiles and stone selections that complimented the look and feel my client was going for. To say the least I am very happy with the quality of advice I have received and continue to receive from Paulina at Tez Marble. The store itself is centrally located off the 101 and has a great showroom.

Loved working with Paulina! She took the time needed to work with me on our bathroom granite and tile selections, and I never felt pressed to make quick decisions. We had the greatest opportunity to get to work with Imani. We are building a master suite and needed help with our bathroom. Imani made us feel like we were a part of his family. VERY welcoming and honest! He helped us every step of the way. He took his time with us, we came with questions. Made sure we got the colors we wanted so we could have the bathroom of our dreams. He sat with us and answered everything. I am beyond happy we worked together and I cannot wait to see how our bathroom turns out!
The store was clean and welcoming. They have candy and coffee. Huge score in my book!

TEZ is the best kept secret in the Bay Area. Giant Retail Showroom in Burlingame w tons of Marble/​Granite Slabs and Design Product on display… Just completed a large commercial project. Amy was very helpful durring our countless visits to the store.

Welcome to God’s art gallery. The giant slabs are so beautiful. Because of Unilocal reviews, I made an appointment ahead of time for a Saturday. My neighbor, also interested in a bathroom remodel came with me. Imani helped us both out extensively with picking decorative tiles for both of our projects. I am probably ahead of my neighbor in the remodel, but she also appreciated writing all of her picks down with Imani. I’ve picked out my onyx for my shower and cant wait to do some more design picks with Imani, as he has a great eye for colors. Tez is holding my onyx slab for me until we are ready to begin.

I’m a huge fan of Imani and the design services he provides. He’s got a great easthetic, he’s stylish and educated in the field of interior design, please he’s super responsive and friendly! It’s fun going in to Tez to see what’s happening in the field of interior finishes

i’m trying to write the most scathing review i can for a business.
we spent $ 4000 on two slabs of quartzite for our new kitchen remodel.
after installing the the countertops, our independent installer told us that it wasn’t quartzite as quartzite is supposed to be harder than quartz! (harder to scratch, way more durable). our counter was scratching and chipping left and right!
we are extremely conscious and careful about light activities — like putting a pot on the counter. We attempted to hire contractors to come onsite to apply appropriate sealants, it still scratches with very light usage.
after complaining to the manager, he agreed to come to our house to inspect it. he never followed through — each time giving us the run around or flaking on an appointment. real shady character. it’s so frustrating that we even consider taking him to small claims!
DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE!

I was doing a kitchen remodel and was looking was the perfect glass subway tile. I was lucky to work with Imani. He has a lot of designer experience and was very helpful in picking out a style that would work well in our kitchen. He was very prompt with returning my phone calls and emails. He was beyond helpful in the whole process. I probably went through 5 different stores in search for the perfect tile and by far had the best experience with Tez Marble. I’m looking forward to working with them on future projects. Highly recommend!

My review is long overdue. We went to Tez to look for kitchen counter top options. Selection here is average, but they are pricier. We selected a specific quartz counter top. The sales guy looked it up and said that there were only very few available and we had to make a choice right away. He kinda pushed us, which is part of sales tactic — and I get that. But the way he did it was not right. The counter top we selected was mislabeled, so he showed us that there is limited supply for that particular one and we need to order middle portions and get them custom made. Later when I called, he said they had it mislabeled and there is supply.
Due to various reasons we were going to pull our kitchen remodel project off, so I called to see if they would take it back, but he wouldn’t. I called a few times, he pushed the call off to his coworker (mentioning that he is the boss) and that guy started being rude. The offer was that we can take the granite pieces whenever we are ready. So, we decided to go with it. They wouldn’t take them back because they were special order due to limited supply!
After some time, we decided to go with the project so we went to visit granite expo in emeryville for other stuff. There we saw the exact piece for almost 40% lower than what we paid in Tez. That kinda markup is crazy! So, we bought one edge piece from Granite Expo.
All in all, it was a bad experience. Prices are high, which is ok — but dishonesty is not appropriate.
Every time I drive over 101, I see Tez marble and it bothers me that we have been cheated.
I recommend Granite Expo very much. Good selection and affordable. They are there to do good business at bulk rates.

We came by to check out some remnant pieces for a bathroom vanity project. They quoted us about $ 800 for a small piece, and said it would take over a week. I almost laughed. Someone already paid for the whole slab, and you want to charge that much for a chunk of the leftovers? No thanks.
We went to another countertop place in Bayview and found prettier remnants for a fraction of the cost, with the vanity being completed in just a few days.

My very first negative review and I’m honored to give it to this piece of shit of a business. If it was possible to go below a 1 i would give them a negative –10.
Your better off avoiding this rip off of a place. Manager/​Owner is rude. We ordered custom tiles which were supposedly priced wrong. how is that our fault? weeks later they canceled our order because they couldn’t accomodate the custom order. Wth your selling this bloody crap. Such unprofessionalism, that they didn’t want us to pick up the money we had already paid for the merchandise. «we’ll mail you a check» Im still waiting for my money. AVOID THIS PLACE!!! YOU’LL BE GLAD YOU DID!
