I hate doing my own taxes. I’m lazy, and I’m never sure if I do it right. Anyway, I know one of the employees here, so I came to get it done as a mutual favor (they get paid and I get my taxes done). YK, the owner, is the one handling the taxes since he has the proper certification or licensing or whatever. He explained a lot of tax stuff to me and gave me suggestions for next year (this year). He also was able to substantially reduced what I owed. He’s super nice and so are the other employees. I like that he’s also very ethically motivated. Otherwise, I would definitely worry myself to death about getting caught trying to cheat on taxes (and knowing my luck I would definitely get audited or something).
For a small practice/​company, they seemed really busy, so I took that as a good sign. But they finished my taxes very quickly and got it back to me to review within the week since I had asked them if they could. From what I understand they also do bookkeeping and payroll stuff for small businesses but I can’t comment on that since I didn’t use that service (but I assume they apply the same attitude/​work ethic to that).
