Applebee’s

I go to this restaurant because my daughters really like it. The last three times visiting they have provided me with the worst service I have had. They take a long time to take your order, when trying to request a refill you have to wave your waiter down because they will just walk right by you and ignore the fact that you are running low. If you need anything other then your order you might as well get up and get it yourself.

I really like this Applebee’s, especially compared to the one in the town I live. I don’t mind the 20 minute drive when I can do other errands in Mt Vernon or Burlington, like go to Costco or the mall.
I had a dish that was on the healthy side, a chicken and mashed potatoes dish, and it was plenty, especially since I added a wedge salad to split with him. He ordered the healthy option sirloin steak which he really enjoyed. It was ordered medium done and it was served medium, so that was good.
The waitress was polite, attentive and pleasant. The table was clean and paying was a snap. There are little machines on every table that you can order, call the server, pay or play games on. I will come here again.

Enjoyed ½ price appetizers tonight. However this business has a 5 day liquor license suspension that started 1÷21÷16 through 1÷26÷16. Food was delish and resturant was super quiet.

If your looking to go out and not spend a dime this is the place for you. Not because the prices are so low, but because you might die of old age sitting at the bar waiting to order. You can get this extra poor level of service even if you are the only one there. If your a gambling person the risk may be worth it for those happy hour boneless wings though.

Wow, weekday, off times, and not even close to being crowded. The hostess was pleasant and seated us right away. The waiter took a while to come around and we were definately ready with our drink order. One thing very notable is that he never brought any water to our table. The one other table with people sitting there seemed to wait for a while for their check as well. After a longer than usual wait our drinks came out. Strangely enough, my daughter did not receive a straw with her frozen lemonade. The waiter said he would bring one out in just a sec… then took our food order. Our appetizers came and he actually walked past our table with it, and about two booths down finally realized it and turned around. Mind you, by that time, we were the only table in his section. He placed the appetizers on the table, noted the missing straw again and told us not to worry, he’d be right back. Suffice it to say, I took the straw from my drink and gave it to her, although neither drink was really designed to drink straight from the glass. At that point a party of eight was being seated in the section with us, and it seemed to causd a tiny bit of flustered nerves or something. One of the cooks from the kitchen brought our food out to us, and noted the very tiny pile of fries on my dish. She stated that a fresh batch was being cooked up and she would bring a small basket within the next few minutes. Well, that never materialized. The next time we saw our waiter was when he dropped off the check, not even asking if we were finished. He had his hands full with the party of eight, as did about three people who ended up helping him with that table. Even then I saw them repeatedly flagging down other folks asking for items. I paid the bill and waited for him to return with my receipt, my daughter and I waited but he never reappeared, so we finally just left. It was a unique experience, I can say that much. Yet, I am in absolutely no hurry to repeat it, if ever. I’ve had shabby service in the past, but this one makes the top five of that short list.

We have been eating here 3 – 4 times per month for the last few years. We have been disappointed the last couple times with the cold food, unfriendly service and how long it took.
We won’t be going back.

I gave this place a 2 star because the food we got was good. BUT when we asked for our bill the waiter took forever to come and get the payment and he seen how much we were giving him. He shook his head and laughed then snatched the receipt and money out of my hand. And then I totally remembered this dude had done this to us before, because he didn’t see his tip in the payment so he went back to the other waiters and started shaking his head and glaring at us. Not even realizing we left the 15% tip on the table. Which is what I gave him again. I’m sorry but I wasn’t aware that I’m paying him to do his job. In conclusion my family and I will not be back to this location and I will not recommend it either.

I was going to write a review stating how poor the customer service was, but in the end the assistant manager rectified the problem.
The food at Applebee’s is about what you’d expect for the price you pay. They do have frequent updates to their menu to add a little variety which is nice.
The new items on the shareable menu and apps are especially good now. There are several items focused on their pulled pork that I would suggest; namely the sliders and nachos. Additionally, I can’t get enough of the boneless chicken wings in the spicy Asian sauce.

The clubhouse sandwich is awesome. Service is ok for an Applebee’s but Zack was the show stopper. He greeted us with the door open and was super entertaining throughout our lunch. Dancing and smiling to every song that came over the radio. Zack is a great addition to your team in which I give the extra star to.

This place was not that busy. But the service was slow, I ordered my food for me and my friend and the main course came out before the appetizers, then within 5 minutes of receiving our complete order our waitress came and asked if we wanted a box to take our untouched meals to go with us. We did not order our meals to go so I wanted to sit and have a pleasant meal. The food was good for Applebee’s but the service was bad. 2 Stars.

Good place to go for drinks, great appetizers and they r open late which is nice., its best to sit in the bar area, they provide better service

I don’t know why the reviews are bad. I guess if people want to eat at outback, they should. Completely different restaurant. I come to Applebees for happy hour and I am never disappointed. The
Good prices and great service. Food is consistent. The bartender David always remembers my name, as well as the name of just about everyone else who comes in. If you ask me, that’s great customer service. Especially for a franchise! :-) I love eating here and I will be back!

I always come here for happy hour and the service is great. The food is tasteful. It’s a great family environment. The prices are reasonable. The bartender Amy is always smiling and very friendly! A nice face to see in the afternoon.

Good happy hour menu

If you’re thinking of coming here on a Friday or Saturday evening, think again. You will be waiting 30 min for a table and then when you finally get a seat you will be waiting FOREVER. My fiancé and I timed it, it took 23 minutes to get a refill on our drinks. The food was terrible and there is a problem when they offer desert to you and you haven’t even gotten your dinner yet. (I think she had forgotten we haven’t eaten yet) NEVER GOING BACK AGAIN.

So unless I’m going crazy, some Applebee’s have different menus. This particular location has Potato Skins, unlike a couple other ones I’ve visited at one time or another. Service this time was substandard. With the time that it took for me to get my french onion soup, they could have run out to the field. picked the onions. taken a leisurely drive back and sang together as they cleaned them and prepped them for carmelization… also baked the bread… sliced it… milked the cow … processed the cheese… aged it… and made the soup. I had ordered my potato skins with extra bacon because, in the past, it looked like the prep line waived the bacon over the top of them and a few crumbs fell into the skins. So in my desire to get a standard order of potato skins… I asked for extra bacon… and they still came out with minimal bacon arranged in a bit of a slap dash manner. I asked the server to bring out more bacon bits, and she did… with a bit of «oh really» tone in her voice…
The wings were right on target.
The thing that saved this visit is I was with one of my best friends… and we all know how besties make the worst situations okay… right?

The only reason I gave them an extra star is bcz I liked the friendly environment only.
I ordered the steak and potatoes off the 2 for $ 20 menu and I chose apple sauce as a side (what can I say, I love apple sauce). They brought my food out and the steak looked very plain and unappealing, the apple sauce was in a motts cup (like the ones u get at the supermarket) not even in a small bowl on the side like I expected *very tacky* and MY DAMN MASHED POTATOES HAD A PLASTIC BAG COMING OUT OF IT!!! Which I found out is bcz the servings are pre-proportioned…omg, wow! The waiter who I thought I was giving a tip, laughed. Soooo very disappointed in this place.
So, I went back (cz its damn near the only thing to eat around here, I’m from a big city in another state an not used to having to hunt deserted towns for resturaunts) and I got something different to go. I got the lime chicken pasta thing off the 2 for 20, and it was ok… but what bummed me out was when I ended up having to travel to Oak Harbor and I visited the Applebees there and got the same dish, it was 10x better! It was my new favorite dish i guess once it got the the proper attention it deserved… that other place sucked!

Applebee’s is still on the down slide. I went in there a few weeks back just to make sure. Yup still doesn’t taste good.

I have been to this particular restaurant twice in my life and both times I ended up getting a free meal! I am not a Applebee’s fan to begin with but they had horrible service and the waiter was rude!
This place is also very expensive for the quality of food you receive!

While their catch jingle is,“Eat’n gooooood in the neighborhood…” I have wonder about that statement. I can find no real reason to return to this place, it’s a chain, it’s overly priced and busy, why I have no idea. And the food tastes lifeless and overly salty. Service is crappy and slow, the «adult» drinks are watered down and pricey. Blah!
I now see Food TV chef Tyler Florence has sold his soul to this place and promoting it on the TV, how sad…
