BUYERBEWARE! As a buyer, you need to be aware of Cache’s store policy of placing a tag on its apparel that states if the item is returned the tag must not be removed in order to receive a refund. That’s all fine and dandy if the tag was attached to the item in the first place. However, I purchased a holiday dress without the tag being attached. How do I know this? The sales person(associate 8382115 to be exact according to my receipt) asked me if I might be returning this dress and I said I might. She then took said tag and placed it in my shopping bag and did not attach it to the dress(note that at this point she is aware of the specific wording on the tag and I am not that states that the tag must not be removed in order to receive a refund). I did need to return the dress within 2 weeks after purchase and 3 weeks before the intended holiday as I found another I liked better. At that time this is the first time I read the tag the sales associate slipped in my shopping bag. Again, she obviously knew the wording on the tag; she wasn’t a rookie sales associate when she placed that tag in my bag and not on the dress itself. Upon return, it happened to be the same sales person that sold me the dress. She even tried to argue about the tag stating it must not be removed before I pointed out our previous conversation that occurred and her actions. I will concede that after a tense moment of silence she did, in fact, refund my purchase. However, I’m giving this particular Cache store a 1 star rating due to her dishonest little maneuver to purposely place that tag in my bag and not on the dress. I do believe if I had not been persistent and called her out or if another sales associate had been tending to my return, I would have failed to get my refund. This is an unfortunate incident. I do like Cache’s merchandise but I won’t be back to this particular store.
