AUG30th lunch with a friend ROTTENBAKEDBLACKSTINKYPOTATOE !!! MEALNOTCOMPED by management! Instead my friend was given a dried up piece of blueberry pie to take home. YUCK!!! Waitress clearly wasn’t happy to be working on a very slow Sunday afternoon. Had to find my own silverware on a table nearby! Waitress definately should not be in a job servicing customers! if the stench of the rotten potatoe didn’t kill our appetites the waitress DID! NEVERRETURNING! Telling anyone who will listen…

Growing up outside of Boston, The Château’s previous location was one of my favorite restaurants. My family still lives outside of the city so I was thrilled to when they put a Château in Burlington. The food is ok– the fried ravioli, what I always get, is still delicious just like I remember. If I were basing this review on that alone, they would be getting 4⁄5 stars. Our server. she IS the reason for this awful review. Let me start by saying that I myself am a professional server and bartender and am very sympathetic to restaurant staff wherever I go. This was the single worst experience I have ever had. If one of my staff members ever behaved this way, they would be let go. I won’t go into too much detail, but the server overcharged me for my meal, only served me part of my meal, reprimanded me for asking for silverware, was incredibly rude to my partner and to my friend, and was overall incredibly disrespectful. Her co-worker even noticed and came over to our table to apologize for her. Note to the management: This is clearly not a first, second, or even third offense. The sad part is that I’m sure you are aware which staff member that I am speaking of and may have already taken care of it. If not, please take care of this issue so that you don’t lose many many more customers. I will never be back to your restaurant and I am truly saddened by that.

The Waitress was wonderful. The food and drink horrible. Had veal parm. which needed at least a steak knife to cut — toughest meat I have ever had overcooked to boot. The spaghetti served with it was probably cooked hours before as it was little more than mush. Not sure what their recipe for a cosmo includes but the one I was served did not resemble or taste like any cosmo I have ever had. Will not soon return, if ever to this restaurant.

My Most favorite reataurant to never again going there place! Quality of food has become less than average. Ordered a Garlic bread Bruschetta — use to be the best appetizer… but this time they gave was a huge fat loaf of cheesy garlic bread with tiny portion of tomato & onion in the enter — no mozarella pieces! That is main ingredient for Bruschetta. I don’t know why they changed the way of making Bruschetta… was very disappointed! A Penne pasta from children’s menu –had asked to replace with veggies and I was told only 1 veggie can be added either broccoli or squash… went qith squash… we got — pasta with tomota sauce and a cup of mashed squash on the side! Thats the first time any restuarant has served a mashed vegetable for a pasta with veggies. One star only because the Toasted Ravioli was good.

We decided to dine outside because it was a 10 – 15 min wait for a table in dining room although the place was no where near full. Roasted wings weren’t cooked thoroughly and flavor was bleh. The mussels in garlic were good but nothing to rave about but it was much better than my entrée! I can’t recall the name of the pasta dish I ordered because it didn’t impress me at all. The sauce wasn’t spicy as stated in menu, it was bland and watered down. The lobster meat was definitely previously frozen, the taste and texture was so off that I didn’t finish it and I’m a shellfish lover. Service was awful. They forgot we were seated outside. When she came by with our apps, she said«we’re so good here, your entrees are already done too but I’ll have them hold off and place them under the light to keep warm for you» — she had to be reminded twice that we were still waiting on our pasta… second time she came by, she said«shoot, forgot to put that in again!» Two other tables were occupied outside. One customer couldn’t get her attention and needed ketchup so she walked over to our table and asked for ours, which was fine… she did wait for quite some time. Another table sent back beer because they couldn’t pour it correctly(it was still incorrect the second time but they sucked it up) and that same table was given the wrong check… they were given the more expensive one… by $ 50! We decided to have dinner there on a whim. What a waste of time and money. First impression is everything and even if the food was out of this world AMAZING, the poor service would keep us from going back. I’m giving it an extra star because my husband liked their red sauce.

I’ve been here many times and it has really gone downhill. Food can be OK but be very careful. I had the Trio 1(toasted rav, fettucini alfredo and chicken parm) which was decent but my wife’s dish, choice of two(turkey tips, grilled chicken with potato and broccoli) was not that great. Mashed potato had that middle school cafeteria texture and taste. I may go back but there are better options in the area.

Went for dinner tonight and had the italian parm sandwich with onion rings. The chicken was a pre formed chicken disk and the onion rings were small thin and under cooked. It reminded me of middle school lunches. Not very good.

Location: great place to eat before/after errands. Close to Market Basket with plenty of parking. Service: Could be better. It was slow even when the place was almost empty. Food: calamari is great! I liked their garlic mussels appetizers too. Their lobster roll is pretty good for an italian place. I always get their raspberry iced tea.

I mostly like the food here, but it’s not the best most authentic Italian food you’ll ever get. It’s a great stick to your guts Italian place. It’s not fancy despite the fancy-sounding name, but the prices are reasonable and the portions are huge so you can get another meal out of it. My favorite dish, the gnocchi pomodoro, has more of a tomato cream sauce than a pomodoro sauce. But, the tomato cream sauce is delicious! I also love the eggplant milano! Chicken parm has been over cooked, but the eggplant parm is good. I also like the sesame bread and cabot butter they bring to the table.

Was with a group. They cut our table off from alcohol, no one is anywhere close to drunk. I was halfway through my FIRST drink when they did. Mediocre food. Mediocre service. Never again. Super lame.

Food is just subpar. Great service and décor though. The atmosphere was great but would not go there again.

Everything is great. There are multiple locations now where you can get classic dishes. that feel like they are homemade. The chicken parm is wonderful and I personally like the early evening special where you can get a choice of meatballs, chicken parm, sausages, pasta and toasted ravioli’s. The servers are very nice and helpful with suggestions for new comvers, the bread is fantastic, and the best thing you can get here the toasted ravoli’s with meat sauce!!! They are the best I’ve ever had including trying them in st. Louis where they were founded. It is a little on the medium pricing it will be between $ 30-$ 60 depending on beverages adn any cocktails. I will go more frequently in the future. Another great thing is they email you when your on thier list when they have specials but not harassing like some other local places. They also close and email you when they close. It’s nice to see on bad days so thier staff is safe. From a picky consumer that gives some pretty good points to me.

This is my second time here, the first time I came it was a few years ago and the service was horrible and the food wasn’t that great. I came here again, because we were in the area. I thought maybe they got better, but nope. The food was bleh. I got a half order of the chicken wings and it tasted like nothing and I didn’t like the batter. The honey mustard dipping was very watery and tasted like vinegar and water. My husband got the fried raviolis and those weren’t bad, they tasted ok. I wouldn’t come back here, I think 2 times is enough to experience blah food.

Eh. I have come to this restaurant a few times. The past 2 or 3 have been going downhill. Last night we had decent service although I feel like the the waitress’ purposely make you wait! Got mozzarella sticks and fried ravioli to start mozzarella sticks were warm at best and toasted ravioli were a bit over cooked. Dinner comes and sadly not much better. I have heard the one in Waltham is much better may give that a try but we will not be back to this location.

Food was really good, we got pizza and chicken broccoli and penne. Bread was great. Service was umm really slow. We are here for our second visit, have been seated and still waiting for our drinks. Its been 10 minutes already. Prices are on the high end but I guess its worth it. Haven’t found a place that makes chicken broccoli and penne as well. I have to add that on our last visit we overheard a customer call a waitress a slut! Very upset about that, especially because our 9 year old son was with us.

We’ve had catering from The Château at our office and it is always really good(although it’s not from this location) so I was excited to try a sit down meal at an actual location. I went to the Burlington restaurant with my boyfriend’s mom, and had the chicken piccata. It was nothing to write home about. The sauce was quite bland, though the chicken was juicy and cooked well. The pasta was good. Nothing blew me away, not even their famous bread, which came with frozen butter. Hoping other entrees are better. I’m certainly open to trying different stuff but the prices for the Château are not low enough to gamble a bad dining experience on.

Summary: Tasty food. Cool combos. Friendly service. On the higher price range. Will fill you up. Sure, it’s not the fine dining popularized by Pixar’s Ratatouille. But it’s definitely a good stop for a night out. I’ve been here twice and both times left above satisfied.(My bias comes from the fact that I’m partial to any restaurant that has quality food and still forces me into asking for a take-home box). I’ve tried a few of their combo meals, and thus tried all-together: Chicken parm: Hefty slice of chicken breast. Tasty. NOTGOURMET. But tasty. Gnocchi: Decent. Obviously not authentic Italian but I enjoy it. Gnocchi is relatively hard to come by too, so it’s not worth your time to be nit-picky about it Linguini alfredo: This was really tasty. The alfredo was creamy and the linguini well cooked and soft. Definitely a recommendation if you like pasta. Toasted ravioli: Château boasts this as a house specialty. I could go either way with it. I definitely enjoyed it, but by picky food standards it did come drenched in marinara sauce and was debatably over-cooked. Still though, I enjoyed it. And unless you’re a professional food critic I would imagine it would please you too. I just wouldn’t give it precedence over another dish(the glorified linguini alfredo, for example). Do try their combos! I always have an internal crisis deciding between various plates that look good to me — so the combos/trios are an answer to my prayers. Also, this place does a great job of inconspicuously allowing for a decent gluten-free selection. I imagine it’s demoralizing to watch as someone else devours the bread before the meal(and it’s admittedly awkward to be the devourer(but I can’t help myself sometimes)), so it’s a small victory to have gluten-free rolls at Château. Be warned, you may end up paying more than you thought you would. Nothing to complain about, just don’t be caught off-guard. All in all, a good night out. And, having been to parties with Château take out, that is a good call.

This place touts it’s Italian family origins; that creates expectations on my part. I had heard stories of how wonderful this place was, but I disliked the entire experience: the food, the atmosphere and the staff. While this may be what some people expect and enjoy for me the most damning thing I can share is that I do not think you can find any dishes resembling their offerings any place in Italy or Sicily.(This is not Lidia Bastianich Italian Food this is Sandra Lee Italian food.) The dishes were barely warm– i prefer hot sauce was sweet as in sugar added(not a lack of salt or very sweet fresh tomatoes), the pasta was quite overcooked — I prefer al dente, the food was unattractively pluncked down on the plates the cheese was sub par quality and the bread was soft and squishy(like a buttermilk dinner roll). A woman who was not our server came around; her demeanor was basically demanding to hear how good it was… when she asked«so how did you like everything?» I tried to be nice and said little, she wanted more, after two rounds of this I finally tell the truth she is incensed and says,“people come from miles around to eat our bread!!“ and storms off.

Generic italian food with more emphasis on quantity than quality. Kid friendly. Not really my kind of food, but if you like large portions of italian family style that tend towards the soft, dry and over-cooked, rather than al dente and juicy, you will like it here.
