I had a pleasant time finding a pair of Rockport Margins for myself at Danform in Burlington. I’ve stopped by a few times over the years when I’m in Burlington; this time, I went in in the afternoon, when they were a bit busy. The staff greeted me and let me browse after making sure I didn’t have any immediate questions. They had plenty of tempting shoes, including a nice Ecco that caught my eye, but I was pretty sure I wanted the Rockports, as I’ve gotten them before. The sales associate was prompt and friendly in bringing me a pair to try. The experience was great, and I’m planning to come back to look for a birthday present for my girlfriend from their boot selection. I gave them $$ instead of $$$, because although they have some expensive brands, they seem to charge no more than anyone else(my Rockports were no cheaper online, for example). Also, they have some less expensive but still pretty nice shoes. They were friendly, helpful, and seemed to know their stuff, so I’d recommend going there if you need some good shoes and want to make sure they’ll fit well.

Super disappointed in this location. I walked in around 11AM so the store was empty except for the two female sales associates. They were having a conversation and even though they saw me walk in, neither of them acknowledged my existence. One of the sales associates even went as far as to make eye contact with me twice but not utter a single word. I used to work retail so I understand having fun work conversations but when a customer walks in you should at least say hello! It is absolutely not okay to just carry on and not say anything at all. Also, once I found two shoes that I wanted to try on neither of the associates bothered to approach me even though I was very blatantly carrying shoes around. I actually had to look down the entry way area and call to one of them. I would describe this as very unacceptable service and will probably be hesitant to return. I think that I would just much rather drive out to the Shelburne Road location-their service is always friendly.

I have shopped at Danform Shoes on Church St. many times over the years. I go there when I’m ready to buy high-quality shoes: Danskos, Birkies, Haflingers, and now(recently) Frye boots! I see that another reviewer mentioned that Danform is pricey. Actually, the brands of shoes that they carry are pricey brands bcs they are well made. This past weekend, however, I noted two prices that are well worth mentioning: the Haflinger boiled-wool clog ‘house-shoes’ they carry were a good $ 20 cheaper than they are currently listed at both Amazon and Zappos, and the non-sale retail price for Frye harness 12R boots is fully 30% cheaper than at Zappos and than most colors of them at Amazon as well. Oh, right: and Darn Tough socks? They’re $ 3 cheaper at Danform than at OGE(a biz that I dearly love and by no means intend to dis; this one price difference is just a fact). So much for Danform being pricey. Meanwhile, their customer service rocks. They are available, accommodating, and very friendly. If you need to know your real, accurate size, they have those proper shoe-sizing tools for it, and they are knowledgeable about their products. I would say there is quite a lot that is special about Danform. It’s definitely The place to go when you’re after really good-quality footwear. Do yourself a favor and check there first.

Dandorm Shoes… Yup the girlfriend needed new work shoes so we ended up here! It’s a little on the pricey side but she says its worth it. So off we went to Dansform we go! As you enter the store its just like any other show store in town. All you can smell is the rubber! I’m a fan of this. I don’t know why but I really do like it! Anyways it was pretty clean! The employees were more than happy to help us with sizes and our needs. Prices are what they are. They are pricey. However if you find it worth it then go for it! Most of the Dansko’s we saw that day ran from $ 109 — $ 140. Also some quick advice! If you go to their web site and sign up for their email list they will give you a coupon for $ 10 your next buy.(Be sure to use a junk email address!) So over all its nothing special but the store serves its purpose. Shoes!
