Localvore is a great way to become aquianted with new businesses in our area. Perhpas I would not go to as many restaurants as I do if it wasn’t for Localvore. We all develop our favorites and tend to go there unless we get a nudge in form of an incentive! And yes that incentive is that you have paid as much as $ 15 – 20 or as little as $ 5.00 and that amount has been matched by the local business. It is possible to eat within the bounderies of let us say $ 40.00 in some of the more high end restaurants, or use your $ 10.00 at the new ice cream shop in town. By the time I use the coupon I «forget» that I contributed 20 of that 40 and feel I can spend another 40 or 50 dollars.
So I think it is a fairly good deal for the business.
Sometimes I don’t use my coupon in a timely manner and the place closes, that has happened twice, both times after getting in touch with Localvore they have refunded my money.
