Five stars for lemon filled short cakes. $ 3 for three small cookies but were very delicious

A very cute little barn full of really neat, local products. Now I don’t have to drive all the way to New Preston to get Hopkins Vineyard wine. I purchased a sampling of their cupcakes which were all sweet and moist. They had a chocolate stuffed shortbread-type cookie which I wish I could have on hand indefinitely, it was fun to eat. I am excited to return, there were miniature cheesecakes calling my name. It was mostly positive experience; I was even bequeathed a box to keep my cupcakes from getting smashed. I don’t, however, need another lecture on the best method to pay for my purchases. If they don’t want people using credit cards because it’s an extra charge for the store, please don’t accept them. Or at least give me the opportunity to dig out my debit card.

Bought some maple popcorn and it was stale. The expiration date was 3 months previous. Also got some salad dressing it was awful. Won’t be back.

Family-run farmstand in a big red barn. Big selection of produce, canned goods and freshly made pastries. I grabbed a sandwich there for lunch after running errands and met the whole family. Will be back.

This was a great find for us in Burlington. It’s a small, relatively newly constructed farmstand fronting a parcel of old farmland that had been strip mined and is now being resuscitated for agricultural use by the owners. You’ll find a small but high quality selection of produce, baked goods and canned products, the latter prepared by two canners the owner has contracted with to follow her specific recipes, which avoid fillers and sweeteners/stabilizers like high fructose corn syrup and glycols. The limited produce selection was the only thing holding me back from giving this place five stars. This place deserves to be patronized, so check it out.

Best thing to happen to Burlington, CT since the General Washington drove out the British Army.

This is a expanding business in town. For several years they have had garden plants and CSA vegetables. Now they’ve built a new store and have included baked goods(baked there) and other goodies. Try the hot cherry salsa!
