Ultimate Auto Detailing

I was getting a new car, and needed to get the old Subaru outback family machine cleaned up and ready for sale. I chose Ultimate Auto Detailing because it was close to my work place, the pictures on his web site looked good, and he was kind enough to shuttle me back and forth to work. When I saw the car after work, my jaw hit the ground. In just 8 hours, Mike had gotten rid of years and years of grime, tree and bird droppings, and who knows what else. The car shined — forgive the cliché — like it was back in the showroom. And then I checked out the interior… Years of ground-​up cheerios, silly putty, gummi bears, crayons and other artifacts of the kids’ first decade had … vanished! It was like a time warp happened.
The only evidence I had that Mike didn’t use voodoo or other magic to clean the car was the fact that the bumper scratches that happened when I had introduced the car to a poorly placed 2-​foot boulder, and a small patch on the back seat which my younger daughter confessed happened when she wrestled open the stuck cap on a tube of glue-​stick that had apparently been liquified and pressurized due to summer heat.
I was so impressed with Mikes diligence, care, and pride in his own work, that I took him up on his suggestion for my new car — my first Mercedes Benz. I passed Mike’s instructions on to my car dealer: don’t wash, wax, buff or clean the exterior of the car in any way before delivery. I let Mike do all the exterior cleaning and sealing.
I dropped the car off a little less than a week after getting it. On the ride back to Mike’s shop later that afternoon, I was trying to talk down my own expectations. After all, the car was new — and really, how much better could the car look?
Well, Mike’s work stopped me in my tracks a second time. The paint was absolutely glorious — lustrous and smooth. I looked back at Mike and just said, «Wow.» Mike’s face lit up with pride as he watched me appreciate his work.
If you want to get your car detailed and cleaned, but look on it as a rote chore, like washing your face, by all means go to Mike — but you’ll be missing half the experience.
If, on the other hand, you appreciate craft, and the beauty of your own car, then you are in for a treat with Mike. His attention to detail and obvious love of his work make this a very special company indeed.

I will admit that I usually clean my own car but haven’t had the time to do a complete detail. So now I take my car to be professionally detailed several times per year to remove any built up paint contamination which traditional hand washing won’t remove.
I have brought my car to Mike twice now. Each time the car looked great after the detail. Mike definitely takes his time with the car and knows what he is doing. He also seems to have all the right products to do the job properly.
The location is convenient because I work in Burlington and Mike gives me a ride back to work after dropping the car off.
I definitely recommend this place.
