Lived here for 3 years. Looks nice on the surface but the shiny surfaces hides many problems. This place is Not professionally run, the office staff is not friendly or helpful at all once you sign on the dotted line. Do not rent one of the ground or basement level units or you will have copperhead snakes & other critters inside & outside your door. We lived on the first floor and were alarmed to find snakes outside our door on many occasions. In addition, in July 2015 My motorcycle and the downstairs neighbor’s motorcycle(whom was smart enough to move immediately following this incident) was stolen from the complex parking lot. And NOTHING was done about it. Many apartments and cars were broken in to during the time we lived there as There is ABSOLUTELYNOSECURITYATTHISCOMPLEX. The only cameras they do have point towards the clubhouse and pool area,(protecting there assets) with no cameras monitoring the parking lots or actual apartment buildings. Locals know that anyone that can afford to live in this complex must have money, so you’re essentially a sitting duck to crime. To have no cameras, no security guard or gate is unacceptable. They will claim they have a police officer who is supposed to patrol the parking lot at night, which doesn’t happen, and that has not stopped the numerous car and apartment break-ins in the complex. They also say you can install a security system in your unit, while neighboring complexes come with security systems already in the units and camera’s in parking lot. What they did do about a year ago was start aggressively towing visitors’ cars, after 6pm at $ 225 a tow. When neighboring complexes are either not towing visitors’ cars or only charge $ 100. It’s not a coincidence when 90% of online reviews mention the ineptitude of the local property managers and how rude they are. We recommend you rent at the two recently completed complexes in Burlington, Watercourse or Retreat at the Park. If you are moving in from out of state or an Elon parent, I would highly recommend you looking elsewhere! We were never more happy to move from an apartment and into a brand new home.
