CLOSED!!! Arrived during normal advertised operating hours and there wasn’t a soul in sight. Window had«closed» written on it, apparently a long time ago, and several other cars arrived while I was there and were equally disappointed. Phone has been disconnected as well.

If you take the Austin Steam train, this is pretty much your only choice to eat when in Burnet. You take a shuttle from the train station. I would say most of the items we ordered were good. We had 14 people in our group so everything was ordered in pounds. Ribs were good. Turkey was good. Sides like beans, green beans, and potato salad were good. The bbq sauces(one is spicy) were very good. The one item that was not that good was the brisket. and this was our biggest order. They cut it so thick also. It was tough and maybe done all the way. A disappointment. I’m sure it’s better if you order the sandwich or get it chopped. or maybe if they had time to cook it longer. The crowd may have overwhelmed them, I dunno. Anyways, overall not bad. Except the brisket.

This place was awesome — quite possibly some of the best barbecue I’ve had. The people were very nice, prices were reasonable, the meat and sides were very tasty(my picky 10-yr-old nephew even thought so!), and I’m pretty sure that’s the best blackberry cobbler I have EVER had. Really impressed and looking forward to going again next time I’m out that way!(Or even if I’m not – it was seriously that good!)

If you’re looking for great Texas BBQ, this is the place. We make the drive from Austin whenever we’re craving BBQ, and the trip is always worthwhile. The brisket is my favorite… excellent, moist, and perfect flavor. Although I’m not usually a big sausage lover I will order it every time when I’m here. It’s that good, IMO. And the cold slaw is the best I’ve had anywhere. Wow! The place has a casual, family style setting, with great service and we’ve never been disappointed. Thanks Burnet Feed Store BBQ. Excellent!

This is what makes people love Texas BBQ. It isn’t dry so one bite meat one gulp of water and it isn’t soupy like it was cooked in a crockpot with liquid smoke. The chicken was perfect! Flavor was astounding and skin was crisp. Moist meat but not dripping with sauce. I had the chicken and ribs two meat combo with green beans and coleslaw and BlackBerry cobbler. Of course I couldn’t eat it all but for under $ 10 I couldn’t believe how much excellent food there was. This is one of the highest rated restaurants I’ve ever eaten at. Maybe it was such a surprise that finally there was a barbecue place that had food I could rant about is why it is so highly rated but nevertheless my congratulations to these folks.

Ate here during train ride shuttle bus took us. I ordered 2 meat/2 sides. Chicken tender and juicy sausage was good, they have regular/spicy BBQ sauce nothing special but it did the job. If you like mustard potato salad then you will love it, Mac and cheese was nice and cheesy. Over all returning customer when in area

Absolutely the best BBQ I have had in Burnet County! Brisket is never dry, staff is always friendly and the food is great! Less convenient than other places around, but I find ways to make it work! And the cobblers are wonderful!!!

Totally worth the 45 minute drive from Round Rock, which included passing up about a dozen other BBQ joints on the way. The brisket was so tender you could cut it with a fork and the pork ribs were some of the best I have had. The spicy beans and tater tot casserole on the side made my lunch(and dinner, since I brought some home to the family, too) one of the best meals I have had. This place has, hands-down, the best lunch on Hwy 281 in Texas! No doubts about that! Thank you all for a wonderful meal. I will be back and I’m bringing more Round Rock folks with me!

Good BBQ. The Brisket is average, but the pork chops are huge and amazing. They sauce is good with both normal and spicy varieties. for sides, make sure you get the cream corn, it is out of this world.

Decent local BBQ joint with excellent brisket and pork ribs at reasonable prices. Both meats were juicy, tender and flavorful, and utensils were really a formality! Sadly, the side dishes were somewhat lacking and didn’t live up to the expectations.(We tried cole slaw, cheesy potatoes, stewed okra and mac n cheese.) I would stop in again but I would probably just get a sandwich plate and skip the sides.

The Boss and I ate here for lunch. We found ample portions at low prices. We tried the ribs and brusquely. Both were exceptional. It is hard to prepare lean brisquet while maintaining tenderness, but these folks did it. The sides were also quite good. We had green beans, beans, and an unusual tater tot casserole. We shared a pecan cobbler for desert. It was just sinful.

WOW! Visiting the hill country and really needed some barbecue. Planned on driving to Lanneau to go to Cooper’s, but found this barbecue place on Unilocal and decided to try it. The food was amazing, the brisket was so moist and the pork ribs literally fall off the bone.

Delicious! Some of the best BBQ turkey I have ever had. My husband’s brisket was a bit on the dry side, but excellent flavor and smoke. Beans, mac n cheese, great. Tater tot casserole — OUTSTANDING(my husband’s own words) Shockingly good. Worth stopping and getting on it’s own. Deserts great. GETTHEPECANCOBBLER. Don’t ask questions or how healthy it is — it doesn’t matter. We are ordering a pan for Thanksgiving — that’s all I’m saying. Everything else could have tasted like cattle feed and this place would have gotten 5 stars. But it didn’t. Thank God we don’t live up the block or we’d look like circus freaks. Great location for large groups. Can’t wait to come back and try their ribs, sausage and other sides. Coopers is in the past now! Only complaint — where the heck are the lemons for the sweet tea?!? Come on, this is Texas!

Go early and get the ribs! We love the moist brisket but the ribs are excellent and they sell out. Tried all the cobblers and apple was best. Darn, now I really want some apple cobbler!

Husband and I were starving on a recent drive through Burnet. Stopped in the parking lot of Burnet Feed, but didn’t stay after reading the Unilocal reviews. On this trip, the joint was recommended by a local, so we gave it a try. I’m glad we did and I would definitely visit again. Had the lunch plate with moist brisket, which was sliced too thickly but was very tasty. Regular, spicy and lemon BBQ sauce to choose from. The lemon was my favorite. Green beans were slightly better than average. Fried okra was too salty, but otherwise average. Sweet tea was great on the first pass, and not as much on the second. Had a good experience with all employee interactions. I do recommend that you give it a try.

One of the best BBQ places to open in a long time and well worth the trip. The Brisket here is amazing. The perfect balance between juicy and seasoned, very moist with high quality meat. Clearly the stand out and one of the best in the Hill Country. The pork ribs are fall off the bone good! Really well done and you can tell they take their time to get it just right. The sausage is above average and doesn’t need any sauce to help it along. A really diverse amount of side options to choose from, including more veggie choices than most BBQ places(corn on the cob, green beans, pinto beans in to varieties!). If you’re visiting Marble Falls, it’s well worth the short ten minute drive up 281 to come here.
