Just to update, the general manager reached out to me with a lengthy hand-​written note in my room which was nice. Unfortunately, I just happened to have another incident that same day. My credit card was erroneously charged almost $ 700 for the stay even though my company was paying. I brought this to the attention of the assistant manager Christina and she resolved the issue promptly within a few minutes. Overall, I am satisfied with the service from the managers, but still have concerns with the housekeeping.

We were very satisfied with the friendly service, overall cleanliness, and quality of amenities. Pool area was clean and a decent size, workout equipment was in good shape and it included free weights, and the breakfast offered a variety of choices (eggs, waffles, fruit, cereal). The stay also included complimentary wifi, drinks (hot chocolate/​tea), newspaper in the morning. Most outstanding was the super friendly staff. We will definitely be back again.

They have the free pass to the Fitness 19 in Lakeville again as the last visit they didn’t offer it for free. I love this free pass to this gym and this makes this hotel my go to place when I stay in MN.

Very enjoyable. They accomodated our large group by having breakfast out at 5:30 instead of 6 am. We had to work at 6am which meant we needed breakfast early! Staff was friendly. Interior isn’t too shabby. And the place smells fresh. Not that smokey old person sweat smell. I’m glad our company put us in the Fairfield Inn. And there is a gym!!! Clean and the equipment is nice.

My fiancé and I stopped here over Memorial Day weekend and the hotel we completely full. The Manager on duty, Bob, called a hotel across the street to see if they had any vacancies — got the prices for two different rooms and let us know when the other hotel’s breakfast hours were held. He was very friendly and went far beyond my expectations — especially as we were non-​paying customers. I won’t forget how friendly this staff member was.

This Fairfield Inn is near the 35W and 35E split. My son and I came her a few years ago after an evening landing at MSP and on our way down to Ames to visit Family. I’m not sure why I didn’t just fly into DSM and forgo the hotel and rental car hassle. But I’m sure there was a difference in airfare, a loop trip plan, Marriott points, and a visit to my Twin Cities-​based brother somewhere within my planning gene.
This Fairfield Inn was basic, clean, safe, comfortable, fun for my son, and a good deal (including breakfast). And when you’re just trying to get from A to B with your kid, that’s all you really need.

Typical Fairfield Inn layout… this one is a little bit past its prime, a little rough around the edges… not fresh. And, the breakfast sucks — again, typically Fairfield Inn — your body will thank you for skipping that. But, the price is good — my experience, usually around $ 70, so you can go out for breakfast ;-). However, the staff is very friendly, and this place is on my company’s short list of «preferred» hotels (the man sticking it to me), so I’ll probably stay here again.
