It’s very rare that I find myself needing or wanting to come to the Burr Ridge Village Center except for dinner. Most of the shops don’t cater to a 30-something man, but are slanted more toward the«Ladies Who Lunch» crowd. If they were trying to market more to my demographic I’d suggest a couple of electronics stores like Apple or Bose and maybe an Old Navy. But let’s face it, they’re not. And that’s okay(I assume?). When I do find myself here, I think parking is always difficult. There’s a lack of convenient spaces, and for some reason the alignment causes people not to fully see you when they’re backing out. Or perhaps they just don’t give a f*ck because those rich Burr Ridge ladies can afford more insurance on their fancy Jaguars than I can on my simple Chevy. But I digress. Overall the shopping center is nice, and the restaurants are very good. I like the location and would absolutely shop here more if there were more for me.

Love the CONVENIENCE of this shopping area! GREAT store selections! MODERATE prices! ENJOYABLE restaurant choices and BEAUTIFUL surroundings! Sorry to miss Farmers Market last night — they were wrapping up as I was walking up! I guess 7:30 means 7:30 in Burr Ridge next Tuesday for me ~~~~~

I know I will regret alerting the masses to this little gem! This is half the size of The Promanade, but that’s what I love about it! All the shops I frequent are all here in a cozy village walking atmosphere. Well done and so easy to get to.

I recently was in the area and stumbled upon this little gem I like to call my happy place. I came on a weekday before noon and there weren’t many people out which was nice and I easily found a parking space. I’m from the city and this place is quiet which I love. It was also very clean. I didn’t see a piece of trash on the ground BUT my favorite thing about this place is they have restrooms in the parking garage! I love that! They also have condos above the shopping stores which i thought was nice. It’s not a huge shopping area but it’s nice to just take time for a stroll up one side and down the other. Everyone seemed friendly and I had zero issues! Please take time to stop by and if you want the quiet please go early on a weekday! Have fun!

This was such a let down :( Do not come here if you are in the mood for serious shopping. There are a few stores, like VS, Ann Taylor, Banana, etc. But they could really do with adding some others like J. Crew, etc. But then again, Oakbrook is a mere 15 mins away, so I guess it’s whatever. If you are in the mood to walk around, or get dinner this is a nice place to come! Cooper’s Hawk, Topaz, and another Asian food place are there, which is nice because you don’t have to deal with the intense mall crowd if you want a relaxing night out for dinner and drinks. Parking here is very limited on the street but there is a garage. Basically, this«mall» isn’t really a top choice to go to but if my focus is wining and dining I’ll come here.

Beautiful outdoor, trendy mall made to feel like an urban strip. Unfortunately, there aren’t a lot of stores that I would shop at here.

Beautiful shopping and dinning experience. The shops are tidy and filled with beautiful mercandise and friendly staff. The entire center has a calming effect! Make it a day with the ladies shop, hit the Kohler Spa, and dine at one of the fantastic establishments right inside the center!

Convenient… as I live within walking distance. But really more of a pain. The mall hasn’t done ‘great’ since opening and several stores have closed already even(Ann Taylor, American Eagle, Acorn…). And now to top off a bad economy they have limited the mall hours, and stores now close during the week at 8pm. Parking is always terrible. There is only limited street parking, with a small lot located by the Starbucks, and a parking garage on Lifetime Drive. Everytime I attempt to shop, however, the stores are empty but there are no spaces on the street to park. Where are all these people?! I’m hoping the store employees aren’t parking there… but who knows. But regardless, its in my neighborhood and I will continue to shop there since it does have most of the stores I like(LOFT, New York & Co., Bath & Body Works). Note that there aren’t any department stores. The mall does frequently hold events to bring people in which include tons of coupons, free wine tastings at Cooper’s Hawk, etc. The events are for the most part put together well and I try to make it to each one. They hold a farmers market during summer months also. Last season, 2010, prooved to be trying. I never saw more than 15 shoppers walking around, and there were days when quite a few vendors didn’t even show up. Needs much improvement as the area could use a decent farmers market. The hours could be better too…9−1 on Thuursday isn’t always convenient for the working class.

Very quaint shopping. High end environment. Easy access to major expressways. Professional services above the street level shopping. Parking is very plentiful with two large garages. Very friendly shops!

So, this time I made a point of getting there while it was still light. Not much help. I saw lots of people turning into an open lot just as pulling in and contemplated parking there, but was hopeful I might find a spot on the street in front of the stores. Didn’t happen so I went looking for the parking garage. I FOUNDIT ~ not clearly marked, unless you always drive with your head turned to the side instead of looking forward. So, for future reference, now that I know where to find it, I might think parking was a breeze, as indicated by another reviewer. However, even store employees acknowledged that parking is a HUGE issue. Needs more variety.

A bit of a let down. Very pretty but lacking excitement. I was expecting more along the lines of the Bolingbrook Promenade or the Arboretum of South Barrington with the added benefit of residential housing built-in. I am hoping that more stores & restaurants will move in by Christmas.
