Beautiful winery. Their wine is absolutely delicious! It’s a perfect stop on a wine tour with plenty of room. The wine is affordable with a nice selection. The owners take a lot of pride in their work and it shows! Very clean, well maintained, knowledgeable staff, great parking, easy to find and beautiful scenery. Sweet as well as dry red, white and blush wines, bubbly wines and dessert wines. Cute gift items as well. Great discount programs.

Schulze is located on the Niagara Wine Trail and is the perfect winery to go to on your next wine tour. I was with a large group of 20 and when we arrived there was another large party as well. Despite it being pretty crowded, the workers pouring the samples of wine were very attentive and helpful. The place is a pretty decent size and all of the wines that I tasted are delicious. I believe it was 3 $ for 4 samples of wine… not bad at all. If you’re a sweet wine girl like I am then you have to try the Ruby wine. It’s delicious and tastes like juice… could probably drink the whole bottle in one sitting(not sure if that’s a good or bad thing). My second favorite was the Catawba, which is a red sweeter wine with hints of mago in it. Delish. I wasn’t crazy about the Riesling. Although it wasn’t bad, it tasted too clean? for my liking. I don’t even know if that’s a thing. I ended up buying a bottle of the Ruby and it came to 11 $. All of their 1.5L bottles seem to be in that price range. Overall, great wine tasting experience at Schulze!

Each wine I tasted here during our wine tour was delicious. I am a HUGE fan of the Thirty Mile Point. It is so grapey, its like adult grape juice. The inside was very clean and the staff was nice. The price for the bottles is cheap. They had crackling wines which were also very tasty!

Stopped in to taste some wine after doing some Cherry picking up at Singer farms. There was a bus tour there as I stopped in, but even with all the other people the ladies pouring the wine were very attentive. The place itself is nice and I especially liked some of their white wines. I would stop back in again if up in the area for sure.

I’ve been here twice. I’ll include my impressions of all the wines I’ve tried. The Block Three Ice Wine had an interesting honey flavor, though I didn’t pick up on the promised rose petals. The semi dry Riesling is good. It has the fruity notes and crisp finish I want in a Riesling, but I think I like Rusty’s Riesling from Vizcarra or Freedom Blue from Freedom Run a little bit more. The Lotus is sweet and tart but unmemorable. The Ruby tastes like the name: rich, red and decadent. The Catawba wine is pleasantly sweet and tart. I prefer it to the Lotus. Crackling Catawba is a little more sweet than tart, and wonderfully effervescent. I did not like Crackling Niagara, but I haven’t had a lot of success with wines from that particular grape. I thought maybe a different wine making approach would help offset the foxiness, but nope; the pleasant fizz only made the unpleasant flavor all the more pronounced. Mon Cheri is Maraschino cherry sweetness with an enjoyable fizz. I like it paired with a cannoli at Cafora’s because the sweetness of the wine compliments the less aggressively sweet pastry well. Not a serious wine, but fun. The staff tends to skew young, detached and uninformative. Today I was asked if I was tasting with the intent to purchase(which I was.) That was awkward. I picked up the Crackling Catawba since we’re grilling for the holiday.

One of the top 3 wineries to visit on Niagara trail. Schulze, Gust of Sun, and Niagara Landing are my favorite places to go when I visit the trail. Schulze features crackling wine aka tasty bubblelies, ice wine aka sweet crunkle juice, and amazing wines. Try the buttery reserve Chardonnay, it’s so good you’ll want to pour it in your mouth like you did with butter when you were little.

One of 3 Niagara Wine Trail wineries – the others were Black Willow and Victorianbourg – my husband and I visited during a mid-October weekend in Niagara Falls, NY, and Schulze was decidedly our least favorite. The Hallowine Murder Mystery tour was in full swing during our trip to this roadside Schulze location. More on that in a bit. First, the wine. I wasn’t that fond of it. Husband and I tasted different wines, and the majority of them seemed watery or had an unpleasant aftertaste. The award-winning Ruby was decent, but I didn’t notice anything about it that set it apart from all the other sweet concords I’ve tried over the years. I didn’t like the Lotus(semi-dry blush) after very much liking and purchasing a blush a few miles away at Black Willow. I also tried the award-winning Mon Cheri(cherry crackling wine), and, I know this is a harsh statement, my first reaction was that it tasted like a slightly alcoholic cherry soda. I’m no wine expert; the above is just my opinion. Plastic shot cups. Been to a number of tastings at wineries in CA, PA, and NY, and none of them have served tastings in little plastic cups… except Schulze. Really cheapened the experience. Adding insult to injury, the Hallowine participants surrounding us in the tasting room – I think we may have been the only visitors not participating in the event – all had proper wine glasses, presumably as part of the event. Also, it appeared they were able to purchase glasses of wine at the bar in the corner of the tasting room. Us? Nope. We were told we could purchase just additional tastings or bottles. I acknowledge we stumbled upon this location at perhaps not the most ideal time but do wish the staff had prepared to better accommodate regular visitors during the Hallowine madness. In the room full of people it appeared we were among the few who had the decency to tip, after all.

Very friendly staff helped me to pick some wines to purchase. The woman who helped me was extremely knowledgeable about each of the wines I tasted and directed me toward some that she knew I would probably like, and she was right. $ 2 will get you 3 tastings, but if you buy a certain amount of bottles, they waive it plus give you a discount! I am not a fan of oaky wines, but I did try one red one that I particularly liked… very very smooth. Also, check in here and receive a % off!

I love this family run winery for their welcoming atmosphere; Ann & Martin run a great place to spend an afternoon. There’s not only a great variety of wines for a very affordable tasting, but they also have other non-alcoholic beverages, cheeses, & local goods available for purchase. My favorite thing is that they offer both a local variety of wines along with some traditional versions but all very tasty.

Everything is amazing here! The staff is so friendly and awesome! ALL of the wines are great! The crackling ones are unique and fantastic. They do sweet wines really well. My husband enjoys their dryer wines. They occasionally have live music which makes it a really nice place to hang out for an afternoon.

Charming little grape farm turned winery after years of dreaming. The winemaker and his wife were pouring in the tasting room, which is always a nice touch. He was sharing his trials and tribulations and it made you appreciate the wines that much more. The wines were a good mix of dry wines from European grapes and sweet wines from American grapes. There’s a small fee for the tasting, but they’ll pour you generally anything on the list, and I believe they waived the fee when we bought a few bottles.

This is a wonderful place to stop in sometime and taste some wine. It’s great becase all of the vineyards are onsite and they make everything right there. They have wines ranging from very dry to very sweet, a little something for everyone. Random gifts and accessories also.
