Excited to have a new Big Lots close to home. I headed there with shopping list in hand.
One item I could not find, so after roaming around the store I figured, ask the cashier…
As she rang my other items I got the normal, «Find everything?»
«Well no I didn’t I’m looking for…»
«Oh»
Pregnant pause? Drum roll? Anything? Nope!
«So, could you tell me where I might find them?»
«Maybe Stationary?»
«Looked there»
«Don’t know then»
«Could you ask?»
At this point (And I must admit while ditsy, she was nice), she called over the ‘MANAGER”. I asked her about the item and was told (Very rudely) that when those come in we usually sell them right away. Ok, but what about this time?
Sigh…
