Tasty Layers

Very disappointed. My fiancé and I drove over an hour to meet with someone who said they could meet with us today only to be informed that that person doesn’t even work on Wednesdays. Bad customer service. Their cakes might be amazing but I’ll never know!

I used Tasty Layers for my wedding cake 5 years ago and have been going there for cupcakes and custom cakes ever since.
The staff is friendly and realistic — they give you good input during the ordering process and ask great questions so they can deliver a design you’ll be thrilled with.
The cupcake display case is always full of amazing unique flavors along with old favorites and the cake/​cupcakes and frosting are DELICIOUS! You can walk-​in and pick up one or a dozen cupcakes at any time, and they often have pre-​made cakes ready to go also. If you’re lucky enough to find ganache bombs in the display case, treat yourself to at least one — they are so yummy!
This local, family owned business is the best and I plan to keep supporting them with my business and referrals!

We used Tasty Layers for our wedding cupcakes and cutting cake and couldn’t have been happier with process, the prices, or the outcome.
We were planning a wedding at the Flint Institute of Arts from out of state, meaning most things needed to be done via phone or email, and we had problems with many Flint-​area vendors working this way. Not Tasty Layers! They responded to email promptly and we never had a single frustration with them. We stopped in for a tasting in July for a January wedding, and had fun trying their many flavors.
We ordered 12 dozen cupcakes in a variety of flavors and a small cutting cake, and also rented stands from them. Everything was delivered for us and set up, with no problems that I know of, and we ended up spending about $ 500, which I thought was very reasonable. People RAVED about the quality of the cupcakes, and my only regret about the whole day is that I didn’t get to try one! I had a small piece of delicious cake during our cutting, but honestly I could not fit any food into my dress ;)
Highly recommended, either for popping in for one cupcake when you need a treat (they always have a variety made for immediate purchase and consumption), a dozen for a party, or for a wedding order.
