The worst service and food, I ordered a delivery which I didn’t receive what I ordered, when I called the answer was«I did send it» «so what do you want» I was expecting something good because of the reviews I saw, and I couldn’t even eat what I got, and they refused to bring me back my money or at least what I did ordered…

Living in Bushwick, the options for Dominican, and/or Puerto Rican foodstuffs, are simply put, numerous. The quality of these establishments can be all over the map — chances are, however, a decent option can be found within a 10 minute walk of one’s apartment here. Yet I opt for a nearly 30 min trek by foot(or about 20 by public transportation — the options aren’t great), in order to get my Dominican fix from here. Simply put, the quality of food here is outstanding. Not being a native Dominican, I can’t speak to the authenticity; nonetheless, fresh, flavorful ingredients are obligatory attributes of any desirable cuisine, and Sabor Toribio has plenty in supply. From the salty, savory moro, or arroz amarillo, to the habichuelas(never before did I recognize, the lofty heights that a simple side of beans could achieve…), to the fantastically juicy and tender rotisserie chicken… or, my absolute favorite, the chicharron… which probably subtracts years off my life every time I order it, but is a godlike combination of pork meat, fat, and skin — and prepared especially well here(particularly without bones, which some other places keep). Did I mention the portions are humongous, and the prices are laughably cheap? I recommend brushing up on your Spanish, however, as they are noticeably more enthusiastic with the customers who, at the very least, attempt to order the Dominican’s native tongue. For all my neighboring gentrifiers, show off your intimate knowledge of your hood! Take everyone, and anyone, here.(Although probably not a good place for vegetarians, I’ll admit that…)

I always get the Dominican breakfast which I never get tired of. I absolutely love it and the staff is always so friendly

Too bad I can give 0 star to this restaurant. Worse food in Bushwick, old food, meat cook with too much lime and they have the nerve to give you a little bit of food for a crazy price… Believe me when I say you are going to regret eating there!

Friendly service. There are a slew of Dominican places around BK so I imagine it’s a bit difficult to stand out. I got the usual quarter rotisserie chicken with rice and beans($ 6). Enjoyed it, and appreciated the different spin on the usually predictable rice & beans combo. I do wish she was a tad more generous with the chicken; however, overall the meal was satisfying.
