Dollar General

As you drive along this country road, peppered with signs for Beds and Breafastses (I have no idea how to pluralize that, as you can probably tell), and one farm after another, out pops a Dollar General. Seriously. Not an old general store, but a brand-​spanking-​new Dollar General.
Talk about odd.
When you are in need of a few vacation goodies that you might have left at home, it is terribly useful. And I am sure that some of the locals love the place, since there is no Target or Wal-​Mart anywhere nearby (at least so far as I could tell). But it seems so out of place.
Staff is really friendly, and the views are awfully nice from the parking lot. It is just so bizarre, popping up like that, and cell phone service anywhere in the area was horribly spotty, so you might not be able to call and ask for directions. Probably want to print them out before you get there.
