Not one to leave 1 star reviews often, but some times you have to.
First, if you’re a newcomer to fishing, this is not the place to stop in and ask for any advice. I waited inside for an employee to appear, and when he did, he did not look happy that I was standing there. I actually thought maybe he wanted to fight me, that was the look he gave me. At first he didn’t speak, he just shrugged as if to say «well, you want something».
I won’t go on and on with the entire exchange, but it was extremely unpleasant to say the least. There are a few other bait shops within walking distance of Mako’s, I’ll try one of them next time. And no matter how crusty of an old Cape Cod fisherman I encounter elsewhere, there’s no way anyone could possibly be more rude than the Maco’s dude.
