Of your looking for a ritzy place in this area… you found it. Absolutely wonderful food, elegant and cozy. Friendly staff, outdoor seating, just a nice«special night» type place. Always packed and does take reservations. Pricey but we’ll worth it!

This is my wife and my go to spot for a nice dinner out. More so because she really likes it. I don’t dislike it but it just doesn’t do it for me. Physical appearance is a 4.5 to a 5. They had a major fire a few years ago and had to rebuild. The restaurant is very nice now. There was nothing wrong with the old place, just old. Service is always good. Place can get very busy and the servers do well with the crowds but without rushing you out. My wife always gets the prime rib which she states is great. I’m not a huge prime rib person but is looks good. Their fries are the basic, frozen fries which they fry up well. Too many places have these damn coated fries. If you are going to use frozen fries, the type that Mezza Luna uses are the ones to use. I will usually look at the menu several times and nothing ever really jumps out at me which is why I am not a huge fan. Anything that I have had has always been very good but nothing that draws me back. I have never had a steak here as the steak prices seem high. The rest of the menu is high teens price wise. They do serve home made bread which is excellent. I usually ask for olive oil and mix it with some of their fresh grated cheese for a great dip. You definitely can’t go wrong here. I just wish I could put my finger on what this place misses for me as I want to like it so much more than I do!

The restaurant claims to be a «Cape Cod Landmark», presumably because the same family has owned the property for years. The menu consists of heavy Italian style food(not Italian of any region unless you count Stouffers as an Italian region) although there are some lighter items popping up on the menu. Some reviewers have called the food«traditional» but I and guests disagree. Since they are Italian, I take their word for it. Since I enjoy Northern Italian cuisine, I say an emphatic NO. If you want to eat a lot, pay too much, sit in a noisy room with plates falling off trays and waitstaff clumping by you like clysdale horses, this is the spot for you. Don’t bother making a reservation for a special night because you will always wait an hour. The family is way too greedy to consider appropriate booking and a nice dining experience. While you are waiting for this supposedly nice meal, you will stand like cattle getting ready for the stockyard, with no place to sit and doors opening in your face. The staff will lie to you and say«just a few minutes», so if you must give them your money, go in, look around and see if there are tables. If not, leave. Best advice is to not bother to go at all.

Traditional Italian Food with some great surprises like the Stuffed Meatball with mozzarella and spinach. I had the Chicken, Broccoli, Alfredo which was enough for two, maybe three people. Five stars as the service here is always great. My water is always filled, food brought out and checked on promptly, and great knowledge of the overall menu. I wish I caught our waitresses name, we’ve had her multiple times and she is always a great addition to the experience. Very large parking lot. Great for small or big groups. Bar inside is separate but good for a drink while you wait for your party to arrive.

I’ve been going to Mezza Luna for years. What is there not to like about this place? The service and food are always top notch. This time I started with the Asparagus wrapped in Proscuitto. Then had a Ceasar Salad along with the stuffed meatball. These were just appetizers and salad but I was totally full. The meatball is delicious and weighs 10 oz! I always get the Ceasar salad here. It’s lighter than most Ceasar Salads and always good. My brother had the prime rib which was cooked to perfection. And my parents both had Veal Francais which they raved about. You can’t go wrong with almost anything on the menu

The food was great. I wish I could remember our servers name because she was the best waitress I’ve ever had. She was right on top of things and made sure everything was perfect the whole time. It was a great date night and we will definitely be back

Mezza luna is my parents favorite place to frequent. I figured I’d give it a try. The food is pretty good and the portions are nice. I’m a eggplant kinda girl and I loved the eggplant salad. Eggplant, basil, mozzarella and a little balsamic. I’ll have to back and try it out again. Keep in mind they do parties there and there service for parties is amazing I would give that part of the restaurant 5 stars. Reserve your table and they will meet your needs!

Saturday was my first time to this restaurant– my family has been there previously and wanted to have an early Father’s Day dinner. We made a reservation as we wanted to be sure we had a table that could accommodate a wheelchair. I must say the portions are huge even the appetizers. The appetizer portion means no pasta comes with the meal which was good for us. The food was absolutely delicious! My mom and I had the appetizer portion for our dinner and it was more than enough. Started with wonderful bread and oil and/or butter to your tasting. I think our group of 7 went through three baskets of bread. My dad had the jumbo shrimp cocktail and it looked fantastic. He was more than happy! My mom had eggplant parm(appetizer portion) and she could not finish the portion but was definitely happy that she chose it. I had the Capri Shrimp Scampi and it was wonderful! Just the right portion for me. My sister and brother-in-law decided to try something different for them — chicken saltimbocca. They each had the salad. Again, more than enough, but they loved it. My sister said it tasted earthy because of the mushrooms. My nephew had the chicken parm with the clam chowder. He ate it all so that’s a good sign as he usually leaves food on his plate. My niece had the baked stuffed shells with the minestrone soup. She took home a shell for later. We finished with two desserts to split. My dad had the spumoni with claret sauce. He loves spumoni and when finds a restaurant that serves it we know he’s having dessert! He was not disappointed and shared some with my mom. We also had a crème brûlée and it was fantastic! I did have a watermelon martini and it was tart and delicious. A couple of people had coffee and/or tonic to drink The restaurant filled up while we were there as I believe Mass Maritime graduated that morning. So I am glad I made reservations. The décor is lovely and elegant without being stuffy. I did notice they have a nice seating area outside — although I’m not fond of sitting where traffic flows by.. They have it set up nicely with beautiful hanging baskets. I have to say the ladies room was very clean. I got a kick out of a framed note from the owner that apologized for the small ladies room that the old restaurant had. I should have taken a picture, but I was not thinking. Overall, I did not think the price was bad for all the food and drink we had! The service was good. I will go back again!

Solid 3.5 rounded up to 4. Old school Italian American restaurant heavy on the red sauce dishes. Our server was delightful and attentive. Salads were fresh and crisp — we had a Caesar and a garden. Nothing fancy but good. I ordered the baked stuff haddock that was surprisingly tasty. Breading was flavorful but it’s texture was light. Side dishes nothing special — baked potato and steamed broccoli. The others at the table reported the clam chowder to be ok nothing special and the raviolis were good and filling. I would come back for the predictable but tasty menu.

Very disappointed. Was looking forward to a nice Prime Rib dinner on a Wednesday night(they serve prime rib on Wed & Saturdays). They ran out before 6:30pm. We had brought another couple with us and we talked about how we looked forward to a good beef dinner during the half hour drive to the restaurant. Burger king called and wants the head cook to come back.

We have been going here for years. My husband loves their prime rib. I enjoy their seafood and pasta choices. My mother Ina’s enjoys this restaurant a lot. The wait staff is normally very nice and attentive. In the summer or holiday months it can be busy, so having a reservation or just calling ahead to check may be a good idea. They have parking and some outdoor seating. The out door seating is on the main road so it can be a little noisy, it’s far from loud.

After having such a high recommendation from a local friend of ours, I was excited to try this place. I found an extra $ 100 I stashed away in a birthday card that I forgot about(always nice!) and said to the hubby«Hey, let’s go here»!!! We started off with the baked stuffed mushrooms with their«homemade scallop and crabmeat dressing». This dressing was sprinkled all throughout the menu on various dishes, so we both thought, «Sure, let’s give it a try». The mushrooms came out with a rather conservative helping of sauce, and that’s too bad, because the mushrooms needed a shitload more of it… the stuffing was *bone dry*. And the dressing what there was of it, was lacking in seafood flavor. Really disappointing. But we carried on. Both the hubby and I decided to go for the Linguini Valencia, which was fresh scallops, haddock, shrimps, calamari, littlenecks & mussels in their marinara sauce over linguini according to their menu. It had no punch. It was just… there. The hubby ordered it fra diavolo style because he wanted it spicy. No matter… he thought it was instantly forgettable as well. But I should’ve known not to expect much when we walked in the door. Frankly, it just didn’t seem welcoming from the start. Neither the hostess, nor our waitress(but especially the hostess), seemed to give too much of a crap that they were there and didn’t care about two patrons like us throwing our money their way. First impressions mean a lot. I think they forgot about that. For something that calls itself a bit classier, Mezza Luna barely reached Mezza Mezza level. Especially for $ 100+

Beautiful, clean restaurant. Very soft music plays in the background and the soft lighting makes for a very relaxing experience. The service is friendly but slow. Probably on keeping with the easy, laid back atmosphere. The bread came out fresh and warm and there is Olive Oil on the table if you don’t want butter. I got the Chicken Parm. The chicken was nice and thin and breaded just enough to give a nice crunch when you bite into it. There was just enough cheese on top so that it wasn’t overly gooey. The spaghetti was perfectly cooked and the marinara sauce was light without being watery. The portion was great for lunch. If you can take the time to have a nice, relaxing experience, then this is the place for you.
