Just an outstanding place for your meeting or function. The area is magically restored to what you would have seen it as when the building was made more than a hundred years ago. Tin walls and a tin ceiling can easily be seen in the images presented here and believe that they are real AND original. An outstanding spot that is not easy to see when arriving in Onset, but will absolutely blow you away with the immense detailing all over.

I honestly don’t even know where to start in reviewing my wonderful experience at Salerno’s. For my wedding on June 21st, 2014, I visited Cape Cod(from Phoenix, AZ) a year in advance to tour venues all over Massachusetts. Having grown up in Bourne, my family frequented Marc Anthony’s on a regular basis. When my parents told me that Marc Anthony’s owned a wedding venue, I agreed to check it out only to humor them. To be fair, I adore Marc Anthony’s, but it’s not what I would consider romantic. When we arrived in Onset, I still wasn’t sold by Salerno’s exterior(one of their few MINOR flaws, I would find out). We were a half hour earlier than we anticipated, but venue manager Nicole rushed to greet us. She apologized for the AC being off, but turned on the lights and immediately got us water. Nicole walked us around the building and shared some awesome stories of the history of the building, the renovation process and the success they’ve had. We were shocked when we got to the top of the stairs and realized that the two rooms were beautifully restored. On the right was a cocktail room with a huge, BEAUTIFUL bar, small tables, chairs and a door to the patio outside. On the other side of the building was a large dining hall with round tables and beautiful wooden chairs that matched the décor(they look so much nicer than the«wedding chairs» every other venue offered). Even the windows had awesome, unique details. You can’t help but notice that every detail was considered when the Salerno family built this room. By the end of the weekend, we had toured a dozen different venues and knew pretty quickly that Salerno’s was the best fit for us. We spent the next year communicating with Nicole back and forth over about a million small details. I cannot tell you how many time Nicole(happily) updated our invoice, answer questions, recommended vendors and offered answers to questions that I hadn’t even thought to ask. When my emails would get too long or I would get off track, Nicole would call me and talk though everything. Had anyone overheard our conversations, they likely would have assumed Nicole and I were close friends or family. For our wedding week, we chose to rent the Oak Bluffs condo’s next door, also owned by Salerno’s. Nicole allowed us to include the condo fee on our wedding reception invoice, although we chose to pay our balance in full a few months in advance. As Nicole completed small tasks for our event, she would invite us over from the condos to see each update. I assume she would have left us alone if we preferred, but she knew we were excited and were only a few steps away. On the night of our wedding, Nicole and her staff made all of our guests feel at home. Everyone was as outgoing and helpful as they were professional. Drinks at the bar were generously strong and nobody waited too long for any food or beverages. Nicole and the event staff worked seamlessly with my vendors(DJ, photographer, photo booth, videographer) and they organized the day-of details so I could get ready without any stress. Because we planned our wedding from across the country, Nicole even accepted boxes of favors and our salt water taffy bar and stored them for us until we arrived. If my review hasn’t made this clear, Salerno’s is a beautiful, unique venue with so much to offer. The secret to the venue’s success, however, is the world-class service you receive from their manager, Nicole. To give some credibly to my review/love letter, I will admit that parking at Salerno’s wasn’t ideal. There is no private lot for guests, but it seemed that everyone arrived to my venue on time with no complaints. Some guests found free parking on side streets, and others chose to pay on the pier or at parking meters(which are free after 6:00pm, I believe). Should this tiny detail sway your opinion of Salerno’s, I assure you that they make up for this in their customer service and attention to detail.

My fiancé(now wife) and I wanted to get married near the Cape, but had a very tight budget. We looked for weeks at easily over 50 places. Each one was more expensive and stuck up than the next. The few that were relatively close to our price range were dingy or rude or super shady. We were almost ready to settle on a still-too-pricey«Tavern & Function Club» but the contact person was just so rude and unresponsive, and the location was in a small, dark basement. We didn’t know what to do. Just in time, however, we were saved by a recommendation by a cape local. They said to check out Salerno’s in Onset. Well what a godsend! –First, Salerno’s was 30% cheaper than the other run-down, rude option. A full third of the price less than the next cheapest option we found after six weeks search! –On top of that, it was absolutely beautiful! The roomy hall has high ceilings, with beautiful walls and chandeliers. –On top of that, the staff was fantastic. Our contact person, Nicole, was an absolute angel! She helped us every step along the way. She put up with our crazy requests, last minute changes, neurotic wedding planning psychosis and even worked with us to save even more money!!! –On top of that, but the food was awesome. Just awesome. Salerno’s also has a sister company which makes Italian food and Pizza down the street, so their in-house chefs are amazing!(I got lots of complements about this from guests! Truly great) So let me summarize. With a VFW Hall budget, we got heavenly location with an angelic coordinator, and food to die for. I’m tempted to get a divorce, just so I can remarry and have the ceremony at Salerno’s again!
