Way Ho

I’ve traveled around the country & of course around the state. I’ve tried Chinese food from many restaurants but it have found that the Way Ho has set the standard by how others are met.
The standard is the fried rice. Made with egg, bamboo shoots, chosen meat, onion, scallion, a touch of garlic, & soy sauce. I do take out from here & whenever you call in an order there is someone on the other end of the phone who speaks perfectly clear English (no heavy accent) not trying to be racist, but it makes ordering easier & much clearer. I ordered an «A special» unaware the menu had changed. She read off the order, and we were able to communicate quite easily to put in the order I intended. It avoided a surprise & different order when I got home 10 miles away.
When I got home the order was not soggy from the box, still crispy. Definitely made my quiet night in better.

Just picked up an order of sesame chicken for $ 15. Only came with white rice. For a price like that I figured it would be good quality Chinese food. TERRIBLE QUALITY. The chicken was so gross and chewy and dark meat but also undercooked red meat. So nasty I feel extremely nauseous already! NEVER AGAIN!!!

I have been here a lot since I spent a good part of life in the area. I have never had a bad meal, never had bad service, and never had a bad experience. Benny runs a good restaurant, has excellent staff, and is very efficient. It also has a full bar which is very nice. If you head to the Cape, want Chinese food… this is the place to go hands down.

This place has gone way downhill over the past three or four years. Used to have a lot of fresh vegetables, and the food was always good. This place is gross — got big take out order Friday night, and it was terrible. Never again.

Really not very good. For us a one and done! Very Expensive and low quality ingredients. Veggies way over cooked. Can’t imagine they are in business.

Place is clean. Food is average but way over priced. There are better options in town like golden palace in pocasset.

I find this food is consistently good! It always seems fresh, never old. The fried rice, lo mein & chicken teriyaki are all better then most. Prices seem very reasonable as well.

This place is awesome, they have everything you need; good boozes, good food, good service. The drunk are well made and the bar tender will have a good conversation with you. The food is great quality if you order the right thing.

I pass this place everyday and it never had the look of something I like. A fellow foodie friend mentioned it as a solid sushi experience so I stopped by. Weird, like two restaurants on the same property. Sushi place closed so I tried the Chinese side.
Hot and Sour Soup — Ugh, perhaps the worst I’ve had. Way too big a portion to stay warm and the consistency of my Mom’s thanksgiving gravy.
Garlic Beef — Underdeveloped flavor, nice crunch on the peppers but average.
This place does a thriving take out business based on the activity I saw. I’m sure they’ll do fine without me returning.

Food was good but a little pricey, but customer service was lacking. Both of us ordered beer, and I thought it odd that a waitress would bring two large cans of beer to the table unopened. When we popped the tops, beer exploded all over both of us. Looks like someone shook the cans. We just sat there covered in beer with a soaked table until we finally had to call the waitress over. Her response? You want another beer? We asked for napkins ate our food, drank the half of our beer that was left and when the check came we were shocked that they hadn’t offered us anything, taken anything off the bill or even apologized. Never going back.

Chicken with Snow Peas, Beef with Broccoli, Vegetarian Fried Rice and Chicken with Garlic. What a smart couple of dishes here! It was a little on the pricey side, but good quality.
One thing that really deserves mention is how amazingly clean the place was. Truly stunning is how it looked.

Is it weird that my favorite chicken wings come from a Chinese restaurant? If you’re at Way-​Ho, you just have to try them! So crispy and flavorful. Wash them down with a suffering bastard – a mai tai with a 151 floater.
I think most of the dishes here are excellent. there are definitely a few that may be overpriced or greasy but I’ve never been surprised with an order and everything always comes out hot with a big enough portion to share. I really like all the appetizers, the moo shi pork, and the velvet chicken.
Stop here if you’re in the area wanting a drink or some good Asian eats. Also… they have pink tablecloths.

We ordered take out here from here two nights ago. It’s a bit of a drive for us, but there really isn’t any other option close by. The gentleman on the phone was American which is definitely helpful for me as I have some hearing loss so accents are very difficult for me to understand over the phone. He repeated each item as I ordered it. Again– helpful. The expected time for it to be ready was surprisingly quick.
When I arrived I (stupidly) just paid and left without so much as a glance at the ticket. The food smelled funny to me in the car but I didn’t think anything of it.
When I finally got back home I opened the bag to see strange looking items and thought they accidentally gave us someone else’s order. When I looked at the slip I saw that it was in fact my order but that they got several items wrong. Our white rice was a small not a large, they gave us boneless spareribs instead of crab Rangoon, and chicken wings instead of chicken fingers.
Usually if there’s a mistake we just suck it up and deal with it, but most of us are vegetarians and those who aren’t don’t like meat on a bone so it was not going to be eaten by anyone.
I called back to tell them about it since the food would go to waste and the price difference in what we wanted and what we got was substantial. We were told to bring everything back that was wrong. At that point I was starving and just wanted to eat my meal. I planned on driving the ribs and wings back but by the time we were through I was exhausted and didn’t want to make the trek back, spending money in gas for the exchange/​refund.
Their veggie fried rice is insanely good, but I’m pretty bummed about my experience!

We’ve been here twice. Once to eat in on New Years and once to take out. When eating in the service lacked and the food wasn’t very good but we figured it was due to a busy night. When we returned months later for takeout living only 5 minutes away we found the food caked in grease and cold. Disappointing.

I would love to rate this restaurant a 5 but that means perfection and I’m not sure anything is perfect. The staff was friendly and attentive yet the waitress was not over bearing nor pushy. The mixed drinks we had were great and the food was yummy. It is a very clean restaurant and there were many locals which indicates to me that they have a large repeat business. That’s a very good sign. I would go back in a heartbeat to have Chinese food in this area of the Cape. This place was Way Good!!!

Love this little place, the food will really surprise you especially the crab rangoons and Peking ravioli, might be some of the best I ever had.

My family got take out from Way Ho last night. They put a lot into the food, including multiple stands of long black hair… I called them and told them about the hair and that I didn’t want to a refund, just let them know what I found. They decided the best course of action was to accuse me of lying. All set, thanks.

Favorite Chinese Place on the South Shore. Food is always fresh and tasty. Mostly go here for take out but it is a nice retro dining experience. Food is served quickly and the prices on par with all of the other places around.

Just went for breakfast, yes breakfast. I think they have changed hands recently or are trying something new. They do a full American bfast menu and also have a buffet that includes some Asian items and homemade whoopie pies! Sunday was steamed pork dumplings with ginger sauce which worked well with the scrambled eggs and homefries. This is in the little bdlg behind the main restaurant, I think its caklled Way Ho II or something. The place was clean, staff very friendly and attentive and most items are under $ 10. The all you can eat buffet was $ 8.95.
This is a good alternative in this area when most unsuspecting slobs are waiting line at Percy’s for lousy, overpriced food in a dirty joint staffed by sullen robots (can you tell I think it sucks?).
I have not tried the regular Way Ho for Chinese food but heard it is expensive. Maybe we’ll give it a go and revire later on.
