Great place to meet sweet people and have a great class of wine!

My friends and I were staying at White Pines State Park in Mt. Morris, and decided to take a drive to taste some local wines. We got to talking with the owners. Both, a husband and wife, were very friendly. They’ve only been open for a short time, but they have already won a gold medal at the Illinois State Fair for best red wine and as I recall a silver for one of their white wines. We all found at least one (or in my case several) wines that we liked. They were very reasonable priced (I bought their gold medal red and it was about $ 18, which for a good wine is pretty good). Because they are still new and growing, they didn’t have as wide a selection as some of the other wineries in Illinois, but they are off to a good start and I think given a few more years, they will be producing some real top notch wines. We didn’t stay long, but the owners told us that they often have live music and allow people to stay, listen, and drink wine. They have plans for expanding, so I know I’ll be keeping an eye on them as they grow.
