The live bands always seems to be good when the ladies go out. The music is cranked up, bartenders are quick, bathrooms are OK always having soap and hot water. They also have billiards available to play, as well as adequate seating, however you need to bring back the pole!

Love this dive the people are great. My husband and I always have a great time … Everyone is friendly and if you like to people watch this is the place to be. Drink prices have gone up and they measure each shot. The bartenders and other staff are always welcoming. If your passing thru Byon stop at The Idol.

The only good thing about this place was Christina doing karaōke but now she is gone… there is one bartender that is rude and it’s impossible to get a drink unless you are a guy… if it wasn’t close I wouldn’t put up with the least she saves me from spending more money. The weekend should though is pretty fun great music. Giid thing I come to dance and not drink

I went here with a girlfriend to clear her mind, I was DD. Some white girls were twerking to aerosmith and the band members wife rolled her eyes at them so next thing those really young chicks and a old lady tried to attack her and we then were in the line of fire. We tried to get security and there was no one there to protect us. Next thing we know they tell us to get out so we did but the owner also made the attackers get out with us so then they attacked us outside and the band members wife had to go the hospital and now I have received a letter from the owner saying to me he had financial loss and is suing all of us. So if you want to have problems go to this ghetto bar w/o security. I called the deputy in charge he said that the owner refuses to release a copy of the cameras that the owner is a complete liar and is refusing to cooperate with the police. That we have nothing to worry about. So if you want problems come to this place!

I found a pubic hair in my glass! Horrible place, trashy people with attitude issues. It was dirty, the door guy was rude and unfriendly. I would never go back. I think this is more of a bar for locals. My friend use to work there and said her friend was killed right in front of her and she got stabbed herself. Security obviously doesn’t know what they are doing…

Pretty cool place. It’s out in the middle of nowhere. Have about 9 beers on tap. Old feeling to the inside. Live music Thursday thru Saturday. Huge outdoor area to drink and chill. Beers are around $ 3 for a Draft. Can’t beat it. Eclectic Mix of people from bikers to cougars. Nice place to just chill.

I like bars with character and that have open space within. This is a nice large bar that hardly ever feels crowded, even on the busiest nights. Good prices on drinks, and music on some nights. I also like the fact that you can sit out back, with even more space. Its also easy to find parking. I guess I just appreciate these details since I lived in SF so awhile and so many bars there are too small, crowded with standing room only, and over priced with no parking anywhere. I guess I not only like this bar, I like the small town of Byron!

Friendly staff and this is a dying breed in Northern California. That is a cool, laid back biker bar with cool locals. Wish there were more in the Bay Area.

Fun bar with varying array of clientele. Mostly country folk, but money comes through too. There’s a stage which often accommodates a DJ, karaōke, or live band on weekends. First thing you notice is a brass pole on the stage, very classy. Good size dance floor with a pool table off to the side. There is a HUGE patio area, big enough to land your crop duster. Place is in the middle of nowhere, so no chance of walking somewhere else. Lock your ride.

I’ve been here a few times now and usually have a pretty good time. The Desert Moon Band was playing this past Friday and I went for my 24th birthday with some friends. The band was great! The bartender was Nicki, who was adorable, super sweet and her drinks were on point! Prices were decent. There was another bartender working, didn’t get her name, that was not so great. Overall it was a lot of fun. Lot of dancing, and a good crowd. Seemed to be a lot of different kind of people, which was great. Its kind of in the middle of nowhere, otherwise I’d probably come here most often.

Been here five minutes and already live this place. Its big, clean, out kind of in the country but still feels fairly red neck. Bartenders and patrons alike are all very friendly and the prices aren’t too bad either.

This is my new favorite bar, and I live over an hour away. The bartenders are *not bitches, they have IPA on tap, the DJs will take a pretty girl’s music request, and they have a *spinning pole. I’m sold. They also have a roomy dance floor, live music, karaōke, pools tables, TVs, and I’m pretty sure I saw a few dart boards. I have only been once so far, but I am planning on making this a spot I visit regularly.

What a great roadside bar! Live music outside and a DJ spinning dance music inside. The happy hour drink prices are very good and there’s free pool on Tuesday. I have been driving by this gold mine of fun for many years and some friends of mine dragged me out of the house the night before Easter to check out the band. It was all good! The best part of the trip was the huge platter of BBQ ribs I picked up on the way out. Got a love a bar the has great prices, a band, DJ, and the best ribs outside of the Texas Road House!

Um talk about cougar ville! Every time I go to this place it’s filled with biker’s and trashy old women or young one’s who look up to the hookers. It can be entertaining to watch them think they’re doing great on the stripper pole. They do have live music here, which is definitely a plus. The drink prices are okay. A lot of old creepy men that stare at you in a inappropriate fashion. I stopped frequenting this bar a LONG time ago and from the sounds of it it’s still the same out there. Cougar bar for the bimbos from Discovery Bay. If you’re down for the live music, I would definitely reccommend going there, and you’ll definitely get a show. Watch out for the gold diggers.

Such a fun little bar. Thursday(karaōke with Eddie Tracey) is the best night to go. They have karaōke on Wednesday too, but with a different dj who definitely isn’t as awesome. I find the stripper pole in the middle of the stage awesome. The first night my friends and I went to this bar, there was a one-legged man with a baby raccoon on his shoulder. Last night, there were two horses with people riding them out front. Redneck! haha. But still fun. Their drinks are reasonably priced, but not very good. Some of their bartenders suck. Overall, a fun bar, good atmosphere and a cool crown, if you don’t mind the drive to Byron.

This place WILLNOT go out of business, as one reviewer insinuated. It is a trashy, hodge-podge, hole in the wall bar. There is an old man with a long white beard in overalls who goes there by himself and takes pictures of people-so wierd. There are always GREAT bands. There are old women(and young) on the dancefloor doing the worst offbeat moves I have ever seen. There are dumb chicks twirling on the stripper pole who think they look like JLo. There are bikers, locals, young people, old people. The bartenders are all outgoing and have great personalities. Its just a trashy wild bar, its amazing! If non of the above mentioned goings-on amuse you, then never go. But they sure amuse me. My friends and I call it the«Wild Idiot» and although we dont go often, we have been there several times over the years and it is ALWAYS such a fun time. And I wouldnt classify myself as any of the above mentioned personalities. People are just there to have a good time, they do not care. It is hilarious. They do not take credit, but there is an ATM for cash. It is such a hilarious good time. There are often bar fights which is great to watch as well. I love that place. It’s brilliant. And about the bartenders being could-shouldered? Look at the kind of people they have to deal with! I am sure that«customer service» is not something they discuss at thier staff meetings… if they have those lol. That place is always full on the weekends so I am sure them going out of business is not something foreseeable in the near future.

Giving this place one star is certainly a compliment! It’s no wonder places like this go out of business so often, I’m telling you the staff here is unskilled and rude. Yes, they have the ability to hand you a Bud — but they couldn’t make a simple Kettle One and tonic without help from the customer. All of that aside… Giving good customer service really does not cost anything extra. Take your business to someplace that welcomes customers and treats them like a great customer rather than a person who just wants a watered down vodka and a cold shoulder from the bartender. Maybe the next owner of this place will care a bit more about manners, customer care and quality service. Moving on!
