This was a great find on the way up to Traverse! We had salads, omelettes and sandwiches. The bread is awesome! They are quick, friendly, and it’s a great location on the water.

Cheryl’s Landing is my favorite place to have breakfast anytime of year. It is owned and operated by a local family that goes beyond what is expected when you go out to eat. The food is prepared perfectly and delivered hot. The toast is made from home made bread as and my favorite is the rye. The freezer jam is soooo good. Eat inside or by the water in the summer and enjoy the view with a fresh brewed cup of coffee. It is convenient but not on a major highway. The next time you are looking for a place to eat breakfast, Cheryl’s Landing is worth a try.

Pull up your boat, pull in your car. Get gas. Chat with the servers. Home made jelly and bread. Ice cream to die for.

On our way to Ohio from Traverse City, Unilocal reviews led us to this place. This place makes excellent bread. I had sourdough. It was the right choice. And the freezer jams… You should ask to buy some rhubarb… it is the prom queen of the freezer jams here at Cheryl’s landing I’m from California and my second family is Mexican so when I tell you that this is the best Mexican omelette I’ve ever had… Believe it. The chorizo isn’t as red as traditional Mexican chorizo, but the flavors were there, and honestly I liked it better. It had a fresh clean quality that comes with fresh made chorizo. The green peppers, onions and other vegetables were grilled first, given just a little bit of char, but not overcooked, keeping the color and flavor. The salsa was obviously homemade, the chunks of tomato were beautiful bright red, and the flavors were just there. Topped with a gratuitous amount of cheese… I’m not complaining… It was the right thing to do. I got a side of sour cream because I could dive into an ocean of sour cream… Swim laps in the sour cream… Do the breaststroke and the sour cream… My friends got the French toast and the Irish omelette… All of it was good.

We stopped here after reading other Unilocal reviews and were a little skeptical when we saw it. We were pleasantly surprised. My Reuben sandwich was very good along with beer battered onion rings(also very good) and my husbands burger and fries were also good. I liked the coleslaw while my husband did not, I think that it had pickles in it. Will definitely stop again when we are in the area. The only downfall was that service was a little slow, there appeared to be one waitress trying to take care of all of the tables inside as well as outside.

I’ve had breakfast at Cheryl’s several times and have always found the servings to be generous and very tasty! Friendly, attentive service. Beautiful setting on Lake Cadillac. I heartily recommend Cheryl’s!

Perfect breakfast! We chose Cheryl’s Place based on the Unilocal reviews & were very pleased! Arrived at 7:30 a.m., had our choice of tables, and enjoyed chatting with our friendly waitress as well as Cheryl and her husband. The décor is cute and homey, with new-looking(and very clean!) wood floors and tables. We were pleasantly surprised to be served coffee in large, pretty coffee mugs(several different styles, the kind you might buy for yourself at a gift shop). My husband chose the sourdough French toast, and I had the Western omelet with wheat toast. Both were cooked perfectly and soooooo good. And honestly, any place that uses homemade bread and jams is a notch above the rest. Definitely give Cheryl’s a try!

I’ve come here a couple times, mostly for the ice cream and the gorgeous view of the lake. The food was good and their prices were very reasonable. A lot of the things were made in-house.

Perfection as it best for American Breakfast! This is a lovely place right on Lake Cadillac, and I mean it like your window view… Is the lake! All wood«cabin» like house and furniture, in the lake shore, very very clean and friendly staff. Everything is home made(but the juice); the marmalade, the bread and everything else is freshly home made. Delicious food and excellent prices. Don’t miss if you’re near by.

We were in town for a wedding and with the great weather we had to eat breakfast at a place with a patio. This place was so clean and cool. We wandered around the outside and loved the view. The wait staff was friendly and helpful and always ready with a pot of coffee. I had the corned beef has omelett with some toast and home made raspberry rhubarb freezer jam. I love this great country cooking!

We went there on a hasty Saturday afternoon on our way back to Ann Arbor. We randomly picked up this highly rated restaurant in Cadillac. The food is all surprisingly amazing with fair prices. The fishes are one of the best meals we’ve ever had in Northern Michigan. The sirloin is also pretty outstanding as well!

The Food was pretty solid, but too pricey for the quantity you receive. I had a BLT, and the bacon(while good) was quite limited. The bread was very very good. Again, food good, but prices too high.

Outstanding homemade bread! Our favorites are raisin bread, pumpernickel and white bread. All came toasted to perfection with butter. Rhubarb cheery and strawberry jams were yummy! We had these awesome omelets: Steak Fiesta, Western, Vegetarian and Ham/Cheese. Portions are generous with cheese and fillings.

We recently stopped here for lunch while visiting Cadillac. Cheryl’s, which used to be just a cabin resort, camp store and ice cream shack in a previous incarnation, now has a dining room and offers full-service meals. Nothing fancy — «up north» pine paneling, down-to-earth menu, no exotic ingredients or balsamic dots on the plates — but the food is really fresh and good; fresh homebaked bread and homemade soups. On the day we visited I had a cup of creamy tomato soup, a bisque that was velvety and flavorful, and a club sandwich on pumpernickel — the lettuce was snappy-crisp, the meats looked cut off the bone, not standard deli fare, and I risked TMJ attempting to eat the very generously portioned sandwich. My partner had a tasty Vermont cheddar soup and mushroom-Swiss burger; the burgers are handmade, not frozen patties. We also got to enjoy a view of Lake Cadillac from our window. Service was prompt and very friendly; we felt like regulars. We’re told that Cheryl’s also serves exceptional breakfasts. Would we eat here again? Oh, yes. We’re happy to add this restaurant to our rotation when we’re traveling in the area. PS They still sell ice cream!

This place is the real deal. My wife and I discovered this place last winter while we were up at our cabin skiing and now we make sure we go for breakfast every time we visit. The homemade bread, preserves, and cinnamon buns are absolutely amazing. Make sure if they have some of their legendary cherry/rhubarb jam to get that, it’s the best we’ve ever had. The standard breakfast fair, despite a limited selection is all perfectly cooked and the portions are generous, the pricing is honest. When it’s not too busy we love to grab a table by the windows and check out the action on the lake, whether it’s boats in the summer, or all the ice fishermen in the winter. The service is fantastic and prompt, we always feel welcome and cozy. We are heading back up north tomorrow and you can be sure we are going to stop for breakfast over the weekend, maybe Saturday *and* Sunday morning!

Found this place on Unilocal and the reviewers were right on. I had the BLT on homemade sourdough. It was the best BLT ever. My husband had an omelet and it was very good, lots of filling. His favorite though was the homemade toast with the HOMEMADE jam. We will be back on our next trip near the area.

Michigan people are SOOO nice! our waitress was so friendly and happy, I love it! Came here for breakfast and sat outside by the water. The inside had no a/c, ugh, so the outside breeze was nice. they make all their bread which was delicious, as was the jam. plus, they have hashbrowns! they weren’t crispy/golden which was sad, but they were still good with my eggs and sausage patty. The best part was that breakfast for three people was under $ 20 people! holy crap that’s cheap!
