$ 90 ticket for speeding 10 miles over the limit on the Interstate.
I laughed when the asshole cop told me he gunned me doing 65 in a 55, then gave me a hard time for the type of license plates I had on my truck– which were issued to me by the secretary of state’s office. I referred him to the Thompson Center in Chicago if he had any questions about it. The cop truly was an asshole, and I’m someone who is very appreciative of police officers and the job they do. When I mailed in payment for the ticket, I enclosed a letter saying that because of the overzealous enforcement and poor manners of the officer who wrote the citation, I would cease spending any money on hotels, gas or food in Cairo ever again, and that I travel through the area many times during the year.
