Ashley does the best color cut and blow dry of anyone I know. I always receive so many compliments after I see her!

«Frankie» is NOT good at cutting hair. The only reason why people recommend her is because she was one of the first employees who started working at this salon when it opened over ten years ago. It is NOT because she is good – it is simply because she has been a long time employee… she is a very rude and money hungry woman. The hairdressers speak to each other in Farsi which is not very polite; it makes other people feel uncomfortable. I am only giving one star because of Farah/Farzaneh. She actually listens to your requests and does a nice job.

Came here for a blow dry. Worst experience ever. Very unprofessional staff and let me just say this is the first time in my LIFE that I didn’t tip after a service. It was that bad.

I was so disappointed! I called this morning to see if they had time for a simple, root touch up and they did so I was super happy and went there. The lady that did my hair did a good job on the color but I mean it’s just black and you can’t go wrong with that. Now, the 3 hairstylists that were working were super busy! But my lady unfortunately did not do quality work. She was rushed rushed to get the next client on her chair while I waited 45 minutes for my hair color to process… Then when she finally got to me she gave me the worst shampoo ever!!! How’s that possible? That’s beauty school basics… I was upset and didn’t want a blow dry I just wanted to get out of there. When I got to my car and looked in the mirror my forehead was still full of hair color! I went back immediately, the receptionist was very nice and took me to the back and was able to remove most of it. That’s not even her job but my lady was too busy to fix this. Ugh… I’ve been coloring my hair black for over 20 yrs and sometimes I get lazy, so that’s why I went to the salon so they can do a «Professional Job» but I guess I do a way better job myself and for a fraction of the cost. I did not leave a tip to the stylist and for the first time I did not feel bad ! I think the salon is understaffed and they’re just looking to make money and not doing quality work.

Got my long hair trimmed here for the first time. The lady did not know how to cut hair. I can tell by the way she used her scissors and touched my hair. Besides that she barely can speak English. Will never go back again. Was not pleased with this simple task of trimming hair. I only went there because my regular stylist can’t give me an appointment for the next 5 days!

I was a longtime cutomer of Ashley’s, the owner. I never got great haircuts, but just OK. My hair is simple. Today my appointment was at 2:45 and I arrived 10 minutes early. I didn’t get called until 3:25. There is a Receptionist(who was not very bright) who made no attempt to let me and the lady I was sitting next to, know about the delay. The lady sitting next to me also had an appointment with Ashley. One of the other stylists asked me if I wanted to come back on Monday… are you kidding me? I was not sure whether or not to allow her to cut my hair, since she was stressed and I wasn’t really happy at this point, but she assured me that she would take her time and give me a great haircut. I cannot tell you how fast and careless she was with my hair. I asked for one thing and she didn’t even listen. She didn’t even finish blow drying my hair, it was still wet and sticking out when I left. And yes, the Farci talk always sort of makes me feel uncomfortable. Yes, the salon is uninviting and disorganized. Hard to believe they’re in Calabasas. The stylists just stare at you without cracking a smile. It wreaks of cheap perfume and the ventilation in the place does not work and smells like perm solution and hair color. I came home and finished trimming the wispies off my hair, which would have been caught during the blow dry process and also a hunk of hair that she just ignored had to be trimmed by my neighbor and a mirror. HORRIBLEHAIRCUT! Shame on you for running such a shoddy business. I, obviously will never go back, but I’m agreeing with all of the bad reviews on here. That has been my experience all along, but my haircuts were OK, but today the way she rushed me through my cut was inexcusable. This Salon does not know how to make women feel pretty.

Was not pleased. The place and people are very uninviting. I was poorly greeted, was barely asked what I wanted and the person cutting didn’t say a word the whole time. Everyone in the place was speaking Farsi the whole time which I think was very rude while two customers where in the place. She was very rough with everything and my head hurt for about an hour afterwards. They didn’t shampoo or bother to ask. I know guys can get treated different at salons but my family has been in the business for over 50 years and men get their cuts often compared to women and we spend can spend a lot of money for the right cut. I do not recommend this place at all. Was not worth the money.

This place is terrible. Cant’t believe that it can stay in business in Calabasas. Both the front desk staff and the hairdresser did not bother with a greeting or other niceties. Maybe they cannot speak English because I was not asked what I wanted for my blow dry. She did not put any products on my hair and to make matters worse it had frizzed up by the time I got home(30 minutes later). They charge the same as other local salons. Go to them. Don’t waste your money here.

I desperately needed a haircut today. I have been super busy. My hairdresser changed salons and didn’t feel like making an appointment at a busy salon. My husband goes to Courtyard and I know that it is fast and easy, but I have a lot more hair than him. I checked Unilocal and decided to try Courtyard. I am super happy with the results. I walked in and Ashley helped me immediately. The atmosphere in the salon is calm and peaceful. My hair looks and feels great.

The stylists here are extremely nice. This is a great place to go for a blow dry, but I would try another place for an updo. We had a small party and half of us(the ones with blow drys) left highly satisfied and looking fabulous while the other half went home and immediately tried to fix our styles, which were not horrible, but also not really what we were looking for.

We take our kids here and always get in in a timely manner, and get an affordable haircut. We give the hairdresser guidance as to what haircut we want for the kids, and they deliver!

I have gone here twice now in the past 4 months and have been disappointed. Both times I was told that it would be a certain price and each time I went to pay it was DOUBLE the amount they told me. The first time I went in Courtyard for highlights and they told me a partial for my hair would be $ 50. The girl doing my highlights was in SUCH a rush she literally dropped the brush at least 3 times and when she went to wash the bleach out she kicked the foot rest out from under me(Due to the fact she was in such a rush and bumping into things) that my feet went flying and I stubbed my toe. She asked me if I wanted her to blow dry my hair and I said no because I would just put it up. However, that does not mean to just wash my hair in the sink and send me to the counter to pay. She still could have brought me back to her station to comb my wet mop of a hair out. Instead she sent me on my way to the counter to pay. She told me $ 85 when that was the price of a FULL set of highlights. When I told her she only did a partial she said she added a little more than just a partial. How come she didn’t ask me if that was okay? Even if she did add a little more it still shouldn’t be the price of a full highlight when she still only did a partial. I left the salon in dripping wet and not brushed hair. Fail. Today I went back just to have a toner put in my hair. My blonde turned a little brassy due to the summer and I just needed some toner put in. I asked how much and they told me $ 15 – 20. I went in, she put the toner in my hair, I sat under the heater for 20 min and then she washed it out. Again, I said I didn’t want a blow dry because I would just put my hair up. When I went to check out she said $ 30. Um, what happened to the $ 15 – 20? The ladies here do a good job; that’s not really the problem. The problem is how your treated during the process and the fact they tell you one thing and when they ring you up its a completely different price. I like how my hair turned out both times but I will not be going back since I feel like I’m lied to about the price.
