Came here to find a card and get a gift wrapped. Robin was very helpful and sweet! She made a beautiful bow out of ribbon for me. She also gave me great tips about wrapping and their perks club. This place is pricey, but if you really want to impress someone or wow them for their birthday then stop by here!

I went into Papyrus this morning with my arms full of gifts that needed to wrapped. The clerk was very nice and helpful. She helped me coordinate paper and bows, gift bags for the gifts to awkward in shape to box. She even color coordinated the tissue paper! That’s Service! I also had some small pins and recommend to put thru the bows-awesome!!! I was so happy with everything and she called me when all was done too and helped load everything into my car!!! Such service I didn’t think existed today, but at the Papyrus in Calabasas commons it does. I highly recommend this store for all you wrapping, cards, and hostess gifts! Thank you to the employees, you are the Best!

Just moved to the area and was excited to see a Papyrus so close. Went in to buy some birthday cards and when the older lady working there saw me, she came up and asked if I needed help with anything. Said not yet, but would let her know if I did. From that point on, she followed me around the store. Whatever section I was in, she was literally RIGHTBEHINDME. I have never been so uncomfortable in a store before. She said she was looking for a card but even if that was true and she wasn’t following me around on purpose, at least have the decency to wait til your one customer in the store is gone or look in an area there isn’t a person standing already. I bought the cards I needed and do not plan on going back to this store. Learn some manners.

Don’t get me wrong — I LOVE Papyrus and I shop here all the time but I will not be shopping at this one. The«mature» lady who works behind the counter was VERY rude. I went in yesterday to gather support from the local businesses for a FREE community event and before I could even open my mouth — she looked up, saw my name tag and clipboard in my hand and she held her hand up and said, «I’m going to stop you right there. Everything goes through corporate» and then she looked back down at what she was doing; she could barely even look at me! I was astonished! The other young lady who works there had a look of embarrassment on her face. I walked that entire Commons yesterday and spoke with EVERYSINGLESTOREMANAGER and every single one told me that they had to go through corporate BUT they smiled, they shook my hand and introduced themselves, they took my info(a couple of them are even going to participate) and most of all, they had WONDERFUL customer service. If the manager of this store is reading my review, I’m sorry that I did not get the pleasure of meeting you yesterday.

3.5 stars. Papyrus is the best place in the area to buy those special greeting cards. Paper Source in the TO Oaks Mall is a trek. Target has a limited Papyrus selection. This store, of course, is the mother lode of all things Papyrus. Cards. Paper. Even gift cards for Nordstrom, Macy’s, Visa and others. Pricey, yes. But we’re in Kardashian-ville anyway, and when it comes to great greeting cards Papyrus is worth it, IMOHO. This is the only place I know of locally that has Crane paper stock and thank you cards. It’s a limited selection, I know, but reason enough for me to visit this store. Though«mature» the staff here can be interestingly off — a little flustered, disorganized, ADD’ish. Hence only 3.5 stars. But I come for the unique selection of cards, not the wacky help, and I am rarely disappointed in the card and paper selection.

Papyrus is definitely my favorite of the mass-produced, card/stationery stores. There’s something about the card selection they have that makes them seem less mass-produced. They always have a wide variety of cards to choose from, no matter what the occasion. In addition, they also have a decent selection of unique gifts and baubles. Every time I’m in there, they promote their custom printing services, I’ve just never used them for that. They carry a lot of cards by Marcel Schurman — many of them have a handmade quality about them. :) This line is one of my favorites, especially for my mom, who loves the«arts & crafts» types of cards. Oh…another note: they have a «card club» at Papyrus(which is valid at all the other locations as well) that gives you a bonus: buy 3, get 1 free anytime. It’s not a free club to join, but it’s a nominal annual fee — $ 10 per year, I think. For me, since I buy all of my cards here, after buying just 6 cards, the«club» pretty much pays for itself. 4 shakas… love it! :)
