Cute little place with excellent coffee and specialty drinks along with tasty pastries. Don’t let the size fool you. They get it done at this establishment. They prepare cakes for events too. Staff are friendly and the surrounding«village» of other shops is quaint. Unfortunately they have no inside seating because of the size but don’t let that deter you. Give them a shot.

I love this little coffee, tea, and pastry shop as you enter Calabash. They have a full selection of coffee drinks(both hot and cold), teas, and a plethora of sweet treats. From cupcakes, brownies, eclairs, etc. Just because this place is a little off the main strip, does not mean you should pass it up. Also, check out the sweet art gallery which is just steps away behind this coffee house.

Cute little coffee and bake shop tucked among some other shops. You can see the Turtle Crossing and«coffee» signs from the road. Great selection of handmade cupcakes ranging from normal flavors(vanilla) to more complex and unique flavors(oreo, red velvet, carrotcake) They are all hand decorated intricately. I had a Halloween themed, vanilla cake with marshmellow filling, vanilla buttercream frosting topped with a ghost peep. The frosting to cupcake ratio was perfect. The frosting was rich and the cake was very moist. My wife had the madelines and they too were excellent. Both of our coffee drinks were very good as well. The pricing was very reasonable compared to other bake shops I’ve visited. There are some tables and umbrellas set up outside to relax and enjoy your treats. If you don’t want to stick around, you can pre-order a dozen to go for an event or a party.

Just wanted to share. My husband and I stopped to purchase a treat for our girls, we are locals. In the past we have ordered cupcakes and treats for the holidays. They have been excellent. Yesterday was one of the worst purchases that we have made. The brownie with nuts was dry that was on display so I asked for another. The one I got was hard, dry and stale. The six cup cakes were terrible. They were also, dry and stale. I am sadly disappointed We could not even eat them. We hope you improve on this note.

We were celebrating a birthday at Ocean Isle and needed a good cake. Luckily Turtle Crossing is not too far away. There was a great selection of cupcakes for the children. We bought the coconut cake for the grownups and it was a hit. Definitely the best option in the area.

I don’t give 5 star reviews lightly. Also I don’t write many Unilocal reviews, but this place deserves it. My wife, my best friend and his wife decided we wanted to get some cupcakes. We looked around Ocean Isle and couldn’t find anything near where we were staying. We found this place on Unilocal while we were out and decided to give it a go. We were not disappointed. It’s a cute little shop surrounded by a «fine consignment shop»(that’s slightly overpriced) and some other little shops. It’s nestled back in a cute area. The cupcake/bakery shop is small, but it has a decent selection. I sampled the NJ crumb cake(good), the cinnamon roll(good, little dry, but the sample was probably just dried out a little) and the iced lemon cake(GREAT). The cupcakes are the stars of the shop. They are decorated cutely and they are AH-MAZING. I had the Oreo one and HIGHLY recommend it. They are average size and they are moist and the icing is delicious. They were a great after-burger snack from Beaches Burgers. We ended up with a dozen cupcakes. All of them were great. Some faves: White Chocolate Lavender, Oreo, Key Lime, Snickerdoodle, Cherry Almond. We also got two cupcakes for our kids. They had little Teddy Grahams on peach ring surfboards with beach umbrella.(I told you. They were decorated cute.) The coffee is good. We got iced coffee. The cold coffee is made proper cold brew style and NOT just hot coffee poured over ice. There is cheesecake and lemon marscapone shipped from NY that look tasty too. Seriously, it’s good stuff. It lasted about 1 minute in our rental house. And I wish I had another one already.
